Kerry Valley Secret - Stockyard Creek, Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites in the Scenic Rim are exclusive bush campsites - once you have booked no-one else will be able to camp at that site - and they are perfect for groups!
The Stockyard Creek Campsite is situated on the babbling Stockyard Creek and there is a short walk to the bigger Albert River waterhole.
This pretty spot features Silky Oaks and Ironwood trees, views to Luke's Bluff and Ding Bing falls in Lamington National Park, has plenty of shade for tents and a huge space for caravans and camper trailers to turn around in
Family groups love the site for the babbling but shallow child friendly Stockyard Creek - perfect for paddling and playing in.
The Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites have larger waterholes than the Stockyard Creek Campsite, are great for fishing and swimming as you wander the 2km of river frontage . They both have easy access off the main Kerry Road.
Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River.
Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park.
Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River.
Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided).
Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest.
All campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of kindling provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table.
Exclusivity is a feature of all our campsite and for that reason we only take a flat rate booking. Once you have booked no one else will be able to camp at the site, it is all yours.

Chowans Rest is a flat meadow, easily accessible to any vehicle and caravans, ideal for all campers looking for a safe and peaceful base to explore this fantastic region.
The camping area is quite private, and around 400 meters from the main house and nearest neighbours. It is adjacent to forested areas, including Mt Chowan and Nullum State Forest, so have a lovely green outlook.
Chowans Rest is very conveniently located - It is just 5-10 minutes easy cycling from the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, so an ideal spot for keen cyclists. It's also a 40 minute drive from Byron Bay, 30 minute drive from Northern Rivers beaches and southern Gold Coast beaches, a 10-minute drive to Wollumbin (Mt Warning) National Park and the historical village of Uki. There is also a 40-minute scenic drive to the township of Nimbin, along with several beautiful hiking trails nearby.

Weather permitting (no rain) we also have 3 exclusive unpowered sites available in another paddock, closer to the creek. There is no power or water at these sites, and you will need to be self-contained. There is a choice of 4 sites , but only 3 can be booked at any one time.

A little slice of paradise. The views are incredible and the site was big, private and so well kept. We spent a few days as a family enjoying lots of lawn games, great food and taking in all our beautiful surroundings. Michael and Sally gave us a very detailed booklet with lots of information about everything we needed to know including places to explore. We all had such a fantastic time.

My partner and I had a fantastic time at Gabrielle’s retreat. We were lucky enough to be at the site closest to the creek, which got great shade in the afternoon, both of these things helped to cool down in the hot summer weather! Bri was very kind and helpful, making our stay a breeze. I could not recommend this hipcamp any higher!

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotless, very well maintained, and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. We stayed with 4 adults, one baby, and our dog, and everything was perfect for our group.
We absolutely loved the views and the overall vibe such a special place to relax and enjoy nature. Due to the hot weather, we asked to change from the mountain spot to the river, and they were more than happy to help and make it happen, which we really appreciated.
We truly had the time of our lives and will definitely be coming back many more times. Highly recommend!

Massive campsites, so you're not on top of one another, yes they are pricey and not for everyone, but worth it if you want the space, peace and quiet, the ground's are immaculate, and what's not to love camping beside a creek.

This Property was one of the most pristine and well looked after properties! It definitely felt like a high end camping experience. We had the most relaxing weekend and the hosts were so great with help and communication.
Loved that we could buy eggs straight from the chickens 🙌🏼

Just a beautiful, peaceful place. Lovely walks along the creek with shaded swimming holes. Brie is a fantastic host. There to offer assistance and information but unobtrusive and respectful of guests privacy and peace.

This camping spot is amazing!
The camp site is close to the road, but not visible from the road and has minimal noise from traffic. The track down is steepish, we have 17ft & 18.5ft full size off road caravans, towed with a 4WD in 4low we had no problem getting in or out. There is a very large level area perfect for caravans. This private one site gem is right next to the river, it offers all our favourite activities, swimming, fishing & kayaking, there are some shallow spots but was still great fun, our grandson loved the rapids. There is plenty of room for kids to ride their bikes.
We loved the large established fire pit.
The host Luke touched base before our visit and gave me a run down on everything we needed to know, which was great. The property is well maintained, hats off to you Luke.
Those who are with Optus may want to invest in a Starlink as there is no service.
We would rate this Site No1, it is definitely on our list of places to revisit, loved it!

Beautiful peaceful place to stay. We were really thankful to have stumbled upon this amazing stay. Our first Hipcamp stay and it certainly set the bar. Magical creek and peaceful location the horses were divine. A must if you want a peaceful place to relax. We enjoyed the fact that it was convenient to Tyalgum town centre yet seemed a million miles away. Will be back most certainly. Brianna is a brilliant host. Thank you!

Great site! Fancy estate that has been done up well. I was hesitant about the price compared to others but i can see why! Lovely upkept spaces, amenities and waterways to explore! I would stay again, only when the grounds men arent working around the corner clearing for your next sites :p was like our private space and get away with the dogs!

Such a beautiful, peaceful spot with great little swimming hole. Brie was very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend taking chocks if you have a van or RV as the powered sites are not level and 40mtr power cord.

This is our second time here. Beautiful scenery, only a short stroll to creek with a few swimming holes. Thumbs up for clean flushing toilet and hot shower. Bri is a top host, most helpful.
