A property with amazing river access a history of great fishing and gold panning. The steep terrain adjacent the river lends itself to some fantastic scenery, the perfect place to unplug and enjoy the peace and quiet. Grab a tube and float down the river rapids, or just relax in camp listening to the sounds of nature. We have an abundance of bird life and wild cattle roaming the property, theres so much to see and enjoy With a small number of sites on the property you're sure to feel like the only ones in the world. Currently access is 4WD recommended due to the steep terrain. Any towing MUST be done with a 4WD. Bajimba Eco Camp is part of our stunning family property nestled in the surrounds of Mt Bajimba in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 40 minutes south east of Tenterfield. Historically known as a resting point for bullock teams hauling timber from the surrounding forests on their way to a saw mill in the lower valley, Bajimba is now home to Merv & Carey. We are just over 1080 metres above sea level, with 57 acres of eucalypt & grass tree forests, grass pastures, and a small (but mighty) organic farm. Accommodation options include "West View “situated at our highest elevation with incredible views from the deck, and "Bullock Camp" which can accommodate tents, caravans or motor homes. When making travel arrangements, note we are in NSW and therefore are 1 hour ahead of QLD during day light savings months. It is encouraged if possible that guests arrive before 6pm to ensure a smooth and stress free check in to camp. Being able to experience the sunset is all a part of your Bajimba stay! Amenities for both sites include an ablution block with hot shower and composting toilet, with steam sauna and wood-fired hot tub available by appointment. Please call at time of booking if hot tub and sauna facilities are required (especially for same-days bookings). Wood fired hot tubs require four hours to heat appropriately. Also note that all toiletries are provided to ensure that our critical farm ecosystem is maintained. When staying at “West View”, we supply Tea, Coffee, Muesli, Full Cream Milk, fresh Eggs from our Hens, Salt & Pepper, Olive Oil, Cast Iron cook ware and a portable sink for cleaning Utensils etc. Also supplied are Plates, Knives & Forks etc. Portable Gas Cooker also supplied if not using the Fire Pit. First Aid kit. Bajimba backs on to Washpool National Park, providing thousands of acres for 4wd exploring, with fishing, hunting, hiking, bird watching only a stones throw away.

Absolutely stunning! Beautiful night spent in the Bell tent up the top of the property! Stunning views and so lovley watching the storm roll in! We hired the wood fired hot tub which is 300mtrs down from the tent next to Merv's cute little home! The bed was so comfortable, they have everything you need to enjoy your stay! Weekend Trip to Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat

Location was superb, the Glamping tents location was private and provided a sanctuary away from the rest of world, even more so without reception (Telstra reception may exist in the area, but not really anywhere along the river). Having a stretch of the river to yourself elevates the getaway to a whole new level. We did have a slight hiccup that lead to cold showers on the first rainy night, but Dan and Kristy were straight on to it, even offering to visit the campsite at 10pm to fix it for us. The camp set up is rustic, but works for a quick getaway away from the hustle and bustle.

We absolutely loved our time at Eagle Ridge bush retreat. This property is stunning and everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The glamping site we booked had everything, from the riverside deck to our own private toilet and shower. This site was so well thought out we couldn't fault it at all. If you want a peaceful getaway by the river we strongly recommend Eagle Ridge. Kristy and Dan were really friendly and helpful and they made the stay all the more enjoyable. Will definitely be back to enjoy this property again!

I cannot recommend Eagle Ridge Bush Resort more. Not only was it an incredible place. We glamped. The tent was set up, the BBQ ready with gas, the firewood for the fire and the bath. Solar lights already there, flanelette sheets and firewood for the in tent fireplace as well. Plus a dog water bowl. But to tbh the best and worst parts were when I half executed a U turn properly, got my 4wd stuck, properly, in a ditch. Jim had help sorted out immediately and by morning we had hands on ready to help. Jim was incredible and Gaz fixed the problem. The dogs were in heaven. The facilities were spot on. Just go!

One of the most thoughtful, private & romantic escapes! Merv and his wife have done a beautiful job at creating a unique escape that mixes comfort & romance with nature & back-to-basics. Fresh eggs from their chickens and a bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch. The tent comes equipped with everything you’d need to enjoy your stay, including warm ponchos for the cooler months. The hot sauna & hot tub under the stars is a MUST DO! We didn’t want to get out! The absolute cherry on top is that this is all dog friendly - such a rare find but it made our stay even more special to be able to share it with our fur-baby. We will be back! Thank you again.

Love. Love. Love. Kristy is an exceptional host. The amenities are outstanding. The location and property are absolutely stunning. If you love camping but have a super busy schedule and if the thought of packing, setting up and packing up is exhausting and stops you from this joy… this is for you. I literally turned up, opened a beer, started a fire and forgot about the world around me. I would return every weekend if life permitted. It’s the kind of place I want everyone to enjoy but also I want to keep private just for me.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Rocky River Glamp Tent site! The site has everything you could possibly need all set up stress free ready for you to relax and enjoy your stay! Right on stunning the Timbarra River with access to a nice little sitting area on the waters edge which was great for an afternoon platter and drinks! Private ensuite with a gas hot water shower and toilet was like luxury! Firewood was supplied for the fire pit and fireplace inside the tent which was great on keeping us warm throughout the cold winter’s night! Highlight of the stay for me was the incredible wood-fired hot tub which was so relaxing and a great end to the day! Thank you Dan & Kristy for letting us stay you were such lovely hosts very helpful 100% recommend this site we had an amazing stay!

Best few days away we've had in a very long time. So private, so beautiful and such a thoughtful and generous host. The bell tent setup is perfect, so many kind and luxurious additions.
