Only 9 minutes from the bruce highway, situated down a quiet dirt road on the side of the beautiful Maroochy River you will find river rd ranch.
River rd ranch is at heart of the sunshine coast being only a 10 minute drive to Coolum beach and Yandina, 25 to 30 minutes to noosa, mooloolaba, Maroochydore beaches, Sunshine Plaza, bars and restaurants!
Being only 20 minutes to the sunshine coast airport it’s a great opportunity to park up your big or small touring rig to head interstate at short notice if required.
This amazing property has views of mt Coolum and mt Nindery with some of the best sunrise and sunsets around. With easy access to the property we can also cater for larger caravans and big groups of people.
Being on the river there is option for fishing and crabbing, we are only a few hundred meter walk to the Yandina Creek Wetlands walking trails.
Camp Fires are allowed on site. (unless fire bans are in place ) fire wood available 20kg = $20 (cash only sorry due to a few nonpayers)
Pets are welcome but we must respect our Neighbours with horses and other campers so must be friendly retrained at all times.
Please remember pick up after your fury friends as we have other guests here
we have 3 - 4 sites right on the river and another 3 - 4 sites in our paddock with a section allowing our paddock guests to have access to the river to do all activities
All waste to be taken away when you leave.
please remember there are no toilet facilities onsite and you will be refused entry if you do not have your own

We have 4 sites with direct river frontage for self-contained caravans, campers and tents. Most of the sites have the capacity to fit numerous vans.
Fire pits are provided at all sites. All weather 2wd access road.
Please note we do not have amenities or drinking water and that you need to be self-sufficient and bring everything you need with you and take out ALL Waste. For the consideration of other campers and my neighbours please be mindful of noise levels.

Frankie is a cool and comfortable caravan with all the amenities you could ever need to immerse yourself in nature! Its a beautiful property with a private sauna and thermal bath while enjoying the natural views. Suzanne is a warm and caring host, making sure we were well looked after. We felt totally relaxed after spending 2 nights there!

Such a beautiful spot!
There was loads of space to set up with our friends. We loved sitting in the creek having a drink. Hosts were very friendly!!
It is abit hard to spot the driveway especially towing a caravan and would be impossible if arriving at nighttime. Other than that it is perfect and we will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved staying here. So beautiful and peaceful, I live in my caravan full time and I didn’t want to leave. Mitch and Holly are both so kind and accomodating. Will be back someday. Absolutely lovely spot right next to the dam. Light breeze most days. Space between campers. Maintained by wonderful hosts who weren't intrusive but did come down to check on us on occasion (we were here in the big supercell storm!) Couple of things to point out to future campers. Is there some machinery and stuff on the property like said in another review, yes. Does it effect your view and experience, NO. This is a working property, not a holiday resort. All equipment is with the owners main house and nowhere near the campsites. And also, bring mozzie spray. Like anywhere near water after dark the mozzies do come out as they always do. It also shares a fence with another hipcamp property next door so there are other ppl around but I don't think it effects your stay as everyone on both sides are respectful of their surroundings. All in all I think this was a gem to discover and we will definitely be booking again. Thanks Mitch n Hollie for their lovely hospitality n opening their home to us all.

Lovely site & space, but not much shade. I would 100% recommend bringing bug spray for mozzies & there are also lots of flies around.
There's onsite firewood & somewhere to leave your cans & bottles when you leave.
When we arrived other campers had taken our site, but that was quickly resolved and no harm done

Having some experience now with off-grid camping, the Magic Pond is value for the price you pay.
The camping spot is nice, easy to access and big enough to give you some privacy. Not enough space to go for long walks with the dog, but Beachmere, Bribie or Brisbane are not a long drive away. Midges are a bit of a bother some times of the year, and nothing seems to keep them away! A smudging fire, or go to bed ...

We had a lovely time at campsite no 4
Enjoyed the river in the heat that’s for sure! The temperature was 38 degrees and we were very happy the river had water in it, so we spent most of the day in the water lounging around.
At night it really cooled down which was a relief.
It really is a lovely spot with only 4 sites and we were the only ones there on our second night.
Went for walks, seeing a 2m python on the track one day. Lucky our dog didn’t see it!
