The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

Chacara Creekside Camp

4. Chacara Creekside Camp

70km from Sandgate · 2 sites · Tents, RVs · Landers Shoot, QLD
A hidden gem in the middle of the Sunshine Coast! Set on 20 acres, the campsites sit on a lovely, cleared, flat grassy area along the edge of a creek. The creek flows all year round and is generally shallow and rocky — perfect for kids to play in. There are a couple of slightly deeper rock pools by the waterfall. The property features a mix of rainforest and bushland that can be explored. We are currently working on some walking and riding trails. A great spot to disconnect from the world and immerse yourself in nature. It’s also an ideal base for exploring the Sunshine Coast region: • 8 minutes to Palmwoods (and the famous Rick’s Garage) • 15 minutes to Montville (Hinterland region) • 14 minutes to the Big Pineapple, the Tree Top Challenge, and Wildlife HQ • 30 minutes to Mooloolaba and a variety of beautiful Sunshine Coast beaches • 30 minutes to Australia Zoo Two sites ensure a good amount of space and privacy.
