Tolga Caravan Park is situated on the Kennedy Highway at the northern end of the Tolga Scrub, the last remnants of the endangered Mabi Rainforest in the region. The Scrub is home to an abundant variety of local wildlife, including the Spectacled Flying Fox – with the Scrub being their only permanent camp on the Tablelands.
We have easy access, large, grassy, flat sites with some drive through sites available. We offer powered and un-powered sites.
We also have onsite cabins – with more accommodation options coming soon.
The Rail Trail can be accessed to the rear of the property offering guests a great walking or bike riding trail with direct access to Atherton and to the Tolga Hotel.
A few places to explore are Lake Tinaroo, Paronella Park, Yungaburra platypus viewing, Crater Lakes, Herberton Historic Museum, Millaa Millaa Waterfalls, Curtain Fig Tree and Gallo Dairy Farm to name a few. A perfect base for all of your Tablelands exploring.
Pets are welcome if you have your own van.
The park is walking distance to coffee shops, takeaway, Tolga Hotel, newsagent, bakery, hair salon and The Humpy. Supermarkets and the main town of Atherton are just a 5 minute drive along with a dump point.

Nice grassy campsite with plenty of room, unfortunately no direct access to river at the site but can access river near the house. Hosts are genuine lovely people and very welcoming. Short drive into Malanda for supplies. We purchased their firewood for our portable pit which was great. Bunch of friendly cows may visit and our dog loved playing with Connie the border collie, will stay again soon.

This was a lovely family orientated campground with a great backdrop of the hills behind Cairns and lots of bird life in the trees. The bathroom was nice and modern and very clean. The laundry facilities were also excellent. There is lots to do here with pools, waterpark and golf. Pizza at the bar was also really good.

This camping has character and is adorable! The bathrooms are good, the space is nice and open, but at the same time doesn't feel too busy, and the wallabies coming out from the forest in the evening and at night were definitely a star of the show for us :)

Really peaceful and well run caravan park. Bathrooms and laundry is clean and even though the park was fully booked, we didn’t have to wait for the showers.
Lots of trees and birds. Little bit of noise from the highway but no big deal. Herbeton is great to visit.

Really enjoyed this friendly, well organised campsite. Not too organised, just comfortable. One of our favourite stays. Lots of space, great facilities and full of natural beauty. Close to the wonderful Herberton Historic Visit which sounds like a school outing but was utterly wonderful.

This was a nice place! The proprietor was helpful and friendly, the sites and facilities were clean and there’s a great short trail nearby through nice old Bami rainforest. It’s very close to some great places for nature lovers, with half an hour you can get to numerous state and national parks and conservation areas. Thanks, John, for a lovely stay!

We loved our 3 night stay here. Peaceful and quiet, next to no road noise, and everyone staying was respectful and quiet. Gardens are gorgeous with newly planted trees that will give more privacy between sites when gown. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Sites are level and there’s a variety of site sizes. The Rail-trail behind the park was great for walking our dog and the Tolga Scrub fringing the park gave it a private rainforest feel. We saw pademelon wallabies every night and possum scuttling about one night too.

Me and my wife really loved the quietness and calmness of this camp. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Amenities are really good and the owners/caretakers are awesome. We will definitely be going back and will love to stay longer.
