Juliet and Grant have been custodians since 2003, in that time we've built a house, raised a family and now that Alex and Hayley are both at University, life has become a little quieter, (not so sure if we like the quiet though!)
Now we've only just started with Hipcamp, we do have a lot to discover, happy to listen and learn.
We do offer plenty of space and you will not be crowded out as we keep numbers very limited. No facilities, no toilets, showers, electricity, rubbish bins etc. We do ask that you respect this as you must be fully self contained. We do not consider, a bucket with a lid, to be self contained ok!
Right now though in our top dam, we have a flock of White Egrets roosting at night, spectacular when they depart & return each day, however due to the number of these birds, hundreds if not more! they have fouled the water in the dam & it's a bit on the nose.

The site is a lovely level grassy paddock with easy access and is exceptionally quiet with a fire pit and creek to relax in just feet away.

PLEASE NOTE: All campers must be fully self sufficient and bring a portable toilet and take all rubbish with them on departure. Drones and metal detectors are NOT permitted on the property.
25 mins to Mareeba and 30 mins to Atherton. A great place to switch off and recharge those batteries.
Pets welcome - dogs can be off lead if well behaved.
Due to the seasonal nature of the creek, the camp site will be available from December - May annually.

Once just a cane paddock, this beaut patch has been lovingly brought to life with over 700 native trees planted, it’s now a little bush oasis – full of native birds, bush tucker, and good vibes.
Just a cruisy 20-minute drive from the Cairns CBD, Highleigh Farm is the perfect launch pad to explore the region. We’ve got roomy, grassed sites (yep, we keep ’em green year-round thanks to irrigation), friendly chooks and guinea fowl strutting about the gardens, and horses always keen for a scratch and a yarn. There’s a mini pump track for the ankle-biters, a big shady communal area with a BBQ shelter, firepit, and plenty of open space for kids to run wild and your furry mates to stretch their legs. The whole joint’s securely fenced and gated, so you can kick back with peace of mind.
Our big-rig-friendly sites come with individual power and water outlets, but if you’re more the off-grid type, you can book an unpowered site too. Either way, there’s plenty of space to spread out and soak in the serenity.
Heads up: We don’t have toilets or showers onsite, so you’ll need to be fully self-contained. But don’t stress – the nearest dump point is just around the corner at Greenpatch Campground.

this was a great space for us as a larger family. Big open green space for the kids to play and very affordable compared to the nearby caravan parks which get exey for a family of 5.
The space is positioned between the road and the dump (no smell and no visual of dump), neither of those bothered us though as we were out for most of the days we were there.
10 mins drive to town and beach. No facilities so need to be fully self contained.
