Stunning views from our property at Silver Ridge. We have a wedding at times so the grounds are very well manicured...We like to caravan ourselves and are always looking for nice spots so we thought we'd open up our place to others. Guests need to have own amenities so we welcome caravans and motorhomes with onboard amenities. Bring your own water. Easy access and van parking in the bitumen carpark area. There is a lovely grassed area you can enjoy during the day (no vehicle access to the grassed area). Small pets considered on application.

Wes's Camping Grounds is located on the Canal Creek. We have many different sites to choose from, either right beside the creek, amongst the trees or in the open paddock if you need to charge your solar. Also available camper van & tent hire in bookings. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is something for everyone here at Wes's Camping grounds. With several deep water holes on the property that are home to many fish species just waiting to be caught like yellowbelly, jew and carp. Imagine sitting, relaxing beside the creek while the kids are playing football or swimming just up stream. Bring your pushbikes or even a kayak and paddle up and down the creek. The kids will love to explore the property and shallow rock pools or even swim in the deeper water. Or just simply sit back and relax by the fire side and enjoy the serenity. We are close to Leyburn township with a general store and takeaway shop and of course like most little country towns a fabulous little pub providing a home cooked meal and cold refreshing drinks. Our property is located 18km north of Toowoomba, and features open flat paddock area with grass. Enjoy the evenings around the dedicated firepit (firewood is available under Extras). Children aged 10 and under camp for free. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. KOOKABURRAS KACKLE RULES TO LOOK AFTER OUR BEAUTIFUL MINI HOME 1) Beware of the ECO TOILET system. Rules of upkeep are on the wall at the back of the toilet.Please follow the instructions to care for this environmentally friendly system. 2) No smoking indoors. 3) When smoking outdoors extinguish the butt appropriately and discard rubbish in the bin. 4) Leave outdoor shoes at the door. 5) If you have visitors come and stay you must tell them to look after the place and not cause a problem. 6) Water is scarce. Please be mindful of long showers and leaving taps on or dripping. 7) A small bin is provided in the kitchen for food scraps. 8) General waste a bin is situated outside of the mini house. 9) No pets in the house at all. This will incur a fine if found out. All pets must be pets must be on a chain at all times. 10) RESPECT OUR PROPERTY PLEASE. This campsite is raising money for a midwife clinic that we run in Vanuatu.

2 nights at Silver Ridge ( Toowoomba) Hilltop Views

We had a great couple of nights, only 10 minutes to the heart of Toowoomba. There’s not many places you can stay that offer the piece and quiet, great views (sun rise and sun set) and still be so convenient. Joan and Geoff are very nice hosts. Definitely recommend a visit. In my opinion it’s only one camp site unless you are with a small group.

Had a great stay at Creek side - lovely setting with plenty of space between camps. Even scored some Easter eggs from Dax, Ree and Archie on Easter Sunday. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

A beautiful natural property with a flowing creek at the time of our visit. Nice flat and large site for our big family and dog friendly. A true get away from The city and only a couple of hours drive. Dax is a wonderful host, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local flora.
