Thank you who camped this year. We have « closed » our area from mid January to April. If you wish to camp during that time message us on Hipcamp, and we will endeavour to see if it is possible. This assists in avoiding overcrowding) There is NO access to our property from Kuranda end! Visitors need to go through Mareeba A beautiful 160 acre paddock that you can enjoy. Cleared slashed areas beside the river. Enjoy a river swim to cool you down during summer and go for a cold dip during winter. River is also good for fishing during the right season. Access to river is 100 metres on graded walking track. Unless you have a ‘booster ’there is very limited mobile coverage or internet. {enjoy the peace and solitude} Access to the property is fourteen kilometres gravel, coming off the highway. Sites are private separated from each other, some sites suit clothing optional guests Site is 300 metres from road and provides privacy. Tents and small caravans are ideal. Not suitable for highway caravans or very large vans as the access will be too rough. There are walking areas at rear of property. Be aware tropical North Queensland has paralysis ticks and we have snakes at times and visiting pigs. Water can be supplied upon request. Power generators are permitted . We are 38klms from Daintree Village on the CREB Track (also known as Upper Daintree Rd) and it will take about 2.5hrs to drive as the road is unsealed, steep in sections and narrow. Be aware of weather conditions before travelling on this road as minimal rainfall can make the track slippery. An alternative route to Yindilli Camping ground is from the northern end of the track from Bloomfield via the China Camp Rd or the Zig Zag Track - both meet up with the CREB Track. We are 27klms from Bloomfield or 1 hour to drive, this section is graded regularly and easy to traverse in the dry season.The campsites have access to a freshwater creek for swimming and relaxing. The birdlife is abundant, including the occasional glimpse of a Cassowary. Camp sites are on 2.5ha of lush green lawns, lots of shade and within metres of a fresh water creek for swimming and relaxing. We only take one booking at a time so campers (and us!) have peace and quiet during your stay. Fire wood is cut and ready for use in the designated fire pits. Enjoy the dawn and dusk bird chorus, platypus watching in the creek, or other nature-based activities. No hunting or fishing of any kind as we are a nature refuge. No domestic pets. Arrival is strictly between 12noon and 6pm daily. No arrivals after dark due to wildlife on our roads. Wetherby Road is a dirt road but is fine for 2WD vehicles. We recommend coming off highway at Julatten State Primary School (Mcleans Bridge rd then left onto Wetherby Road) to stay on bitumen longer. Optional extras: onsite bird watching/nature/property tour with us or fresh farm eggs to add to your stay.

Located in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest where you will see plenty of wildlife and birds and enjoy an endless number of adventures you will find our wilderness campsites. Enjoy all this beautiful region has to offer including rainforest walks, beautiful beaches, stunning waterfalls, crocodile spotting, fishing, snorkeling on the Great Barrier reef and plenty of 4WD tracks to explore. We are within easy reach of Daintree Discovery Centre and the Daintree River Cruises. There is so much to see and do in the area that you will never be bored. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided, there is plenty of firewood too. We have a pit toilet available for campers to use. Pets are welcome.

We situated on the Rifle Creek. 1km of the creek boarders the property. You can walk to town for dinner from the property but still feel like your away from everything. 3 lagoons for relaxing, canoeing or reading a book and bird watching as the property has many bird species. Great for bush walking. Small dogs will be considered. It’s is for Wheelchairs on the land as it’s mostly flat. Access to showers or toilet maybe suited

We loved this camp, we parked our van on green grass in the tropical fruit orchard. We were right nxt to the rainforest and a beautiful creek. There was also a waterfall with a big swimming hole 45 min walk. We were pleasantly surprised to find body boards and pool noodles when we got there. The walk was easy with just a few up-hill spots. The communication was good and the directions were easy to follow. Our dog loved the place too and didn't want to get in the car to leave. One of my favourite spots after doing 3 laps in 5 years. Put it on your bucket list!!

We loved our stay here. So peaceful and such a large site just to ourselves, and didn’t have to worry about the kids brothering others. The steep driveway was a bit daunting, but managed fine with AWD. Loved having the big gazebo to set up under and spread out. Had a beautiful night sky view once the clouds cleared.

Plenty of room to camp. Beautiful clean camp areas Toilets available and were in good condition. Lovely creek close to the sites. The Waterfall was a lovely walk but be parpared to walk 45 mins one way and not to get lost. They have a few arrows to guide you but towards the last bit down to the water no arrow and we got a bit lost.

A beautifully maintained property with loads of tropical fruit trees and bird life. The camp sites are well spread out so you can have your own space. The creek is private and great for swimming, with lots of different swimming spots. The waterfall hike is a well maintained easy going track through the untouched tropical rainforest. I look forward to coming back again soon!

Our family had a great time camping here. Open grassed area surrounded by forest. Toilets and outdoor shower, fire pit and Dan let us use the verandah area too. Lots of room and minutes from the beach we had a great weekend here.

What a lovely spot! We were unfortunately there with the March flies ( November in the tropics!) but we lit a fire and they mostly left us alone to watch the birds. Theresa & Frank offered us the use of the swimming pool but it was cool enough at this altitude that we enjoyed a walk with our pooch and a glass of red by the fire.

Our stay at Twitchers Hill was brilliant. Frank and Theresa were so kind and accommodating and made sure our stay was comfortable. The site is beautiful with a view of the mountains. The amenities were good and have a hot shower. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely visit again.
