Our dormitory style and family room accommodation is ideal for small and large groups of up to 50 people with shared toilet and shower facilities and a dedicated sitting room available. Fish the creek for Yellowbelly, Cod or just sit back, relax and enjoy the abundant bird and wildlife. Have a swim, go kayaking or take a walk to explore. Or why not join us for a coffee and meal at CC Cafe Thursday-Sunday!

I have 8 sites at the moment each one is in a open bushland setting with lovely views, no site is within 100 meters of another and each one has a different view with lots of privacy, and all Dog and Kid friendly, shallow water, and deep water for swimming or kayaking , creeks, animals to feed and heaps of room to run and play.
Adult friendly, huge sites for big groups and plenty of space, great swimming and lots of things to here and in the surrounding areas.
Some sites are more suited to Caravans as the access is better and some are better suited to campers / 4WD but all can be accessed with a regular car. We have NO road frontage so sites are private, quiet and safe and only 3ks off the New England Highway.
All campers MUST bring their own Chemical toilet and shower facilities. A small rest room and shower is available in case of emergency only
I run a working farm raising Sheep and Lambs, Chickens, Ducks, Horses, Donkeys, Vegies, Preserves and Jams. Farm produce is available on request and availability, eg Free range eggs , farm raised Lamb, locally sourced Bacon for the BBQ , and seasonal vegetables, jams and chutneys.

For those who may be into Waterskiing or Fishing Leslie Dam is a 10 min drive away and offers fishing and water sports then come back to your quiet camp away from the crowds.

Hart Hill boasts a stunning 28 acres. Your initial view of the property coming over a Thanes Creek causeway is that of a magnificent rock face. Our camping area is down on our creek where there are slashed camp sites suitable for groups of campers or just on your own. You have full use of a shelter complete with pot belly stove and a fire ring provided (byo firewood)
You can do birdwatching, yabbying, swimming in the waterhole (seasonal) picnicking and general exploring around the creek area. There are no people nearby and you will feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere (but are just 25mins from Toowoomba).
We are a cattle property so you will see cows and calves and horses on your way to the camp sites.
Because of this and bio security, there is no 4WDriving around the property but you are welcome to explore the creek area on foot.
Plenty of wildlife to spot - wallabies, kangaroos, bird life and the occasional koala. In the creek there are some fish, yabbies and turtles.
Set up camp, enjoy stunning sunsets, peace and quiet and the privacy of the secluded camp sites.
Our location is perfect if you are first time campers or want to try out a new set up without venturing too far from home. 25mins drive will get you back to Toowoomba CBD.
We are on black soil so our access road to the creek is dry weather only but is accessible by 2WD that have reasonable clearance. Please check with us ahead of time if you have a large set up or are concerned about access. We are happy to help or answer any questions you may have.

You can do birdwatching, yabbying, swimming in the waterhole (seasonal) picnicking and general exploring around the creek area. There are no people nearby and you will feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere (but are just 25mins from Toowoomba).
We are a cattle property so you will see cows and calves and horses on your way to the camp sites.
Because of this and bio security, there is no 4WDriving around the property but you are welcome to explore the creek area on foot.
Plenty of wildlife to spot - wallabies, kangaroos, bird life and the occasional koala. In the creek there are some fish, yabbies and turtles.
Set up camp, enjoy stunning sunsets, peace and quiet and the privacy of the secluded camp sites.
Our location is perfect if you are first time campers or want to try out a new set up without venturing too far from home. 25mins drive will get you back to Toowoomba CBD.
We are on black soil so our access road to the creek is dry weather only but is accessible by 2WD that have reasonable clearance. Please check with us ahead of time if you have a large set up or are concerned about access. We are happy to help or answer any questions you may have.

You'll find several dams on the property, with one specifically perfect for swimming during the summer months. It even features a thrilling rope swing! Two of the dams are stocked with native fish such as golden, silver, and spangled perch, providing excellent catch-and-release fishing opportunities. During the winter season, the campsite becomes an ideal destination, offering ample firewood for cozy campfires. Please remember to pack warm as temperatures can drop below freezing. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by the variety of parrot species that inhabit the area, making it a paradise for birdwatching. Stayed at Carbeen Camping and Farmstay over the New Year. It is a relaxing location, flat and well looked after. Host are lovely people, checked in with us every day to ensure everything was ok. They even supplied free fire wood. Shame the dam was a little too weedy for a swim. Lots of kangaroos of an evening coming to the dam for a drink. Even had the odd huge goanna wonder thru campsite a few times. Will be back.

This was the first stop on our roadtrip and it was just magic. Had a beautiful spot in our van with a great view of the sunset over the mountain. The onsite shop and cafe are so lovely and walking through the lavender paddock in the morning was just gorgeous. We had a wonderful time. Thank you so much! (Advice to other travellers, if you are in a converted camper you will access the site fine if it’s dry. Might struggle in the wet but not too sketchy)

Arrived on a windy day, so definitely Windy Acres! Camped away from the dam, but still very private and not too much road traffic. Great spot for watching the sunset, and nice range of birds to spot.

Alicia was friendly and welcoming and helpful when a storm came through in the evening. She offered to let us use her undercover area to store the car during this time and checked if we were ok in the morning. Lovely lavender farm close to town and large spaces to enjoy. Dog friendly even better for us!

Loved that we were the only ones here. What a beautiful well maintained area. We enjoyed choosing one of a number of fire pits to set up our camp ovens. There was a port a loo available for use (which we did not use). We “wallowed” in the little rapids of the McIntyre Brooke to cool down and enjoyed watching the stars and satellites during the evening. What a perfect getaway. We laughed at the way the goats “frolicked “ on the rocks across the creek and enjoyed watching the Roos jumping past. Overall, wow , what a great place. ❣️

Beautiful place to stay, love the free roaming goats, wallabies, cows, sheep and emus.
The river is full of tabbies and little shrimp and fish and lots of safe areas to let your kids go fishing. Water is deep enough to swim in, we even managed to get our kayaks in the water tho got stuck on rock in a few places.

What a great find! A beautiful peaceful camp on the green banks of the Bracker Creek on Lake Coolmunda. Birdlife a plenty along with kangaroos and emus. Each site is huge and comes with a fire pit with wood. You’ll need a chainsaw and axe to chop it up. Bonus is the quirky CC’s Cafe. Congratulations to the owners. I’ll certainly be staying here again and also recommend it to my caravanning friends.
