Site 1 right down on the creek large grass flat space big enough for two families to set up camp. The creek runs around the outside so there are a number of viewing points to see the wildlife mentioned above. A set of solar lights hang over the firepit area allowing for more light while cooking on our wonderful swinging hotplate BBQ.
Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night.
Swimming in the creek is not recommended.
So please check by internal message before confirming your booking that way we can confirm a spot while discussing your needs to ensure you have a clear view of your camping area.
Onsite we have our shared outhouse porta toilet which is positioned in the middle of both camping areas for everyone's convenience.

Our Hipcamp, (owners on site), is small scale to minimise environmental impact with six sites spaced well apart for privacy with each site catering for up to two adult guests only (18+) and one vehicle. (No pets because of wildlife). Solo travelers are encouraged to book, many who have commented how much they enjoyed staying, not feeling overwhelmed by large groups or too isolated.
If you are booking for others please let them know they will need to set up at their booked site. Please do not invite additional guests to enter the property.
You will need to be fully self-contained: own toilet, drinking water, shower.
Our Hipcamp is situated in a cool climate, away from the humidity of the coast. A highlight is beautiful permanent Flaggy Creek which meanders its way through the property for approximately 1 km and is habitat to platypus, turtles and an abundance of bird life (we are close to an ebird hotspot) with towering blue and rose gums. Take a dip on a hot day in one of several water holes including a large lagoon adjacent a mini waterfall surrounded by beautiful she-oaks. There are walks on mowed tracks around the property (look for large eastern grey kangaroos in the top paddock) including along a dam wall where you might spot herons or rainbow bee eaters (seasonally) and we can give you directions to a fire-trail to hike up to the Bluff. Herberton (10 mins) also has many excellent walking trails.
All camp sites have their own fire pit (local conditions and/or state fire ban season permitting). We sell large crates of split firewood for $20 or you can collect your own. Please do not bring firewood for biosecurity reasons.
During the wet season (December-April) we recommend 4WD to access the property as there is a concrete causeway creek crossing and on rare occasions this can become impassable with an extreme amount of rain but does go down very quickly once rain has eased. Please take care and go slowly on unsealed roads.

Our front paddock is visited nightly by lots and lots of wallabies. We have fantastic sunrises and sunsets here. You’ll really love the great views we have towards the east and west.
Recently the owners of the paddocks to our north have started developing them, and we now have a solid fence along the north boundary to protect our/your privacy.
Please be aware that on some days there can be noise from the work site from 7am. Fortunately it's not everyday and they are usually gone by 2:30pm.
We are still a peaceful campsite with plenty of bird and animal life only 10 minutes from the centre of Cairns and the Wallabies still come to visit, on any given night we can have up to 70 of them in the paddock!

Hike in the surrounding national parks; cycle or mountain bike on one of the many rainforest trails; fish or spot crocodiles in the Johnstone River – take a crocodile cruises; white water raft along the exhilarating Tully River; take a dip at the Babina Boulders or Josephine Falls; or snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. Set up camp and use the property as your base to explore the Cassowary Coast, Atherton Tablelands and the Great Barrier Reef.
Toilet and shower facilities are available (please supply your own toilet paper). The property has limited tank water only. Guests must also bring their own drinking and washing up water and must take all waste with them upon departure. Fire is allowed only within existing firepits. Other existing on-site facilities (including water) are not available to campers at present however we look forward to sharing the facilities and other accommodation options with you soon.

You will have access to our beautiful peaceful surroundings, with adequate shelter under some lovely big trees park your camper or pitch a swag. We also have a nice running creek that you can enjoy watching our many wildlife that are present throughout the creek, fish, eels and turtles.
It's truly a very private and relaxing spot to chill out and enjoy camping for a few days or whatever suits your needs while passing the area. Plenty of fantastic swimming holes nearby including Josephine falls and Babinda boulders very popular spots for tourist and the locals.
Site 1 right down on the creek large grass flat space big enough for two families to set up camp. The creek runs around the outside so there are a number of viewing points to see the wildlife mentioned above. A set of solar lights hang over the firepit area allowing for more light while cooking on our wonderful swinging hotplate BBQ.
Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night.
Swimming in the creek is not recommended.
So please check by internal message before confirming your booking that way we can confirm a spot while discussing your needs to ensure you have a clear view of your camping area.
Onsite we have our shared outhouse porta toilet which is positioned in the middle of both camping areas for everyone's convenience.

We have had recent sightings of cassowary on our property so keep an eye out, you might just see one!We prefer self-contained campers, who have their own amenities, but we do have a toilet and shower up at the main house (about 50 metres away) you are welcome to use if needed. This is an unused bathroom downstairs so you will still have privacy. Access into the property is not suitable for large motorhomes. Entry will be too small for vehicles approx 8.5 metres long and 3.5 metres high.We grow exotic fruit on the property including limes, pomelos, mangosteens and more. Flaggy Creek Caravan Camp is situated within a 260 acre rural property set aside for wildlife aiming to offer a peaceful and relaxing place to escape the daily grind. Please read this description to the end to make sure our campsites are right for you (click show more).
Our Hipcamp, (owners on site), is small scale to minimise environmental impact with six sites spaced well apart for privacy with each site catering for up to two adult guests only (18+) and one vehicle. (No pets because of wildlife). Solo travelers are encouraged to book, many who have commented how much they enjoyed staying, not feeling overwhelmed by large groups or too isolated.
If you are booking for others please let them know they will need to set up at their booked site. Please do not invite additional guests to enter the property.
You will need to be fully self-contained: own toilet, drinking water, shower.
Our Hipcamp is situated in a cool climate, away from the humidity of the coast. A highlight is beautiful permanent Flaggy Creek which meanders its way through the property for approximately 1 km and is habitat to platypus, turtles and an abundance of bird life (we are close to an ebird hotspot) with towering blue and rose gums. Take a dip on a hot day in one of several water holes including a large lagoon adjacent a mini waterfall surrounded by beautiful she-oaks. There are walks on mowed tracks around the property (look for large eastern grey kangaroos in the top paddock) including along a dam wall where you might spot herons or rainbow bee eaters (seasonally) and we can give you directions to a fire-trail to hike up to the Bluff. Herberton (10 mins) also has many excellent walking trails.
All camp sites have their own fire pit (local conditions and/or state fire ban season permitting). We sell large crates of split firewood for $20 or you can collect your own. Please do not bring firewood for biosecurity reasons.
During the wet season (December-April) we recommend 4WD to access the property as there is a concrete causeway creek crossing and on rare occasions this can become impassable with an extreme amount of rain but does go down very quickly once rain has eased. Please take care and go slowly on unsealed roads.

The campsite features a large flat grassy area with great access for 2WDs and all types of camping vehicles from caravans to campervans and motorhomes. Plenty of room to turn your vehicle around and a lockable gate means your campsite is secure.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water.
Our front paddock is visited nightly by lots and lots of wallabies. We have fantastic sunrises and sunsets here. You’ll really love the great views we have towards the east and west.
Recently the owners of the paddocks to our north have started developing them, and we now have a solid fence along the north boundary to protect our/your privacy.
Please be aware that on some days there can be noise from the work site from 7am. Fortunately it's not everyday and they are usually gone by 2:30pm.
We are still a peaceful campsite with plenty of bird and animal life only 10 minutes from the centre of Cairns and the Wallabies still come to visit, on any given night we can have up to 70 of them in the paddock!

Hike in the surrounding national parks; cycle or mountain bike on one of the many rainforest trails; fish or spot crocodiles in the Johnstone River – take a crocodile cruises; white water raft along the exhilarating Tully River; take a dip at the Babina Boulders or Josephine Falls; or snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. Set up camp and use the property as your base to explore the Cassowary Coast, Atherton Tablelands and the Great Barrier Reef.
Toilet and shower facilities are available (please supply your own toilet paper). The property has limited tank water only. Guests must also bring their own drinking and washing up water and must take all waste with them upon departure. Fire is allowed only within existing firepits. Other existing on-site facilities (including water) are not available to campers at present however we look forward to sharing the facilities and other accommodation options with you soon.

Loved this hidden little gem. Beautiful drive into the property through the forrest. Suitable for my 2wd. plenty of water in the creek due to the wet season. The little waterfall was absolutely stunning and made for a great spot to cool off. Tim the host was very friendly and made me feel very welcome and safe as a solo camper. Came for 1 night, left feeling like I stayed for 3! Will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful overnight stay at Little Mulgrave Camping. The campsite was right on the river, with fresh, crystal-clean flowing water that we couldn’t resist having a dip in. The camp itself was open and spacious, making it a really relaxing place to unwind.
We also enjoyed sitting by a lovely campfire, which topped off a perfect evening. We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing camping spot.

Camping at three falls holiday was lovely. The owners are welcoming and friendly. The property is beautiful, with a beautiful landscape view. It’s a nice quiet spot and just a short distance from the waterfall’s. I would recommend this spot to family and friends.

We had a fantastic stay despite the rainy weather. Rowan moved us to a different spot in case the rain and road got worse, it was very thoughtful. We had a secluded spot just for us, above the creek, it was a very short walk to a nice swim spot with plenty of shade. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful place near Innisfail

Baron river retreat isn’t just a beautiful place for camping for a few nights, it’s a special place that soothes the soul and refreshes and recharges you. From the moment you arrive and drive down through the farm, giving a cheeky wave to the cows you can feel your troubles melt away. The camp site itself has so much space and options for all tastes from lush grass in full sun to shady spots under the trees, all of which are flat and easy to set up on. Where ever you choose to make home for the time you are here you will be able to hear the gentle sounds of water bubbling over the rapids while you’re serenaded by the kookaburras. There’s a wonderful flat area next to the river which is perfect to have your morning coffee and if you’re lucky you might spot the resident platypus. Go for a refreshing swim, a paddle up the river or brave one of the rapid pools for a refreshing massage. And to top it all off you can finish the day with a hot shower courtesy of the donkey hot water system followed by toasting marshmallows around the fire pit while looking for fireflies. The green loo is a bonus for those who don’t do “bushy bushy”
You will not regret a stay at Baron River retreat and the hardest thing is leaving at the end of the stay.
