Our little slice of paradise is 25 acres, about 8 minutes from Yeppoon's beautiful beaches and islands, and 35 minutes from Byfield's rainforest! Situated up on a hill you can see the ocean and islands in the distance to the East and Byfield Ranges to the North. With the elevation a steady Easterly breeze off the ocean most of the year it keeps the property a nice temperature, almost as if you are right on the beach. We have a range of native local wildlife roaming around, from green tree frogs to cockatoos, parrots to lizards, Goannas to wallabies. When it comes to flora there is about 15 acres of the place which has never been cleared, containing ironbark, lemon scented gums, stringybark, and wattle trees among various other shrubs. Being situated at the end of a no through road you don't need to worry about a noisy highway or road, all you will hear is nature and the environment. We allow small campfires (outside of fire-bans) but please be respectful and light where others have before you. Dogs are also allowed as long as they are kept on a lead, and are friendly to others as we also have 3 dogs in our yard. With plenty of space between sites there's no need to be worried about being jam packed in like a caravan park. That's one thing we aim to avoid. Our property is a work in progress. Having purchased it 5 years ago as a very baron and blank canvas we now have over 20 varieties of fruit trees planted over the last few years, with countless days and weeks spent landscaping, gardening and spreading topsoil for lawns. Its still far from perfect but its something we love and want to share. There is just over 1 km of smooth gravel road to our turn off, and our driveway is also gravel and moderately steep. 2WD vehicles can make it up, it just requires a little momentum. However if you are towing anything substantial you will require a 4WD. The two sites are right up the top of the hill, but still suitable for larger vans (over 20ft) and small busses - provided the towing vehicles etc are okay with climbing the driveway.

Mount Morgan is situated on the Dee River, 38 km south of Rockhampton, and is an old gold mining town with lots of history and two museums, a railway and a town history museum. There are plenty of lookouts to see out over the town and the mine site. The Number 7 Dam, has walking and mountain bike tracks for beginners and the more advanced. We have 6 listings available at Meyenburg B&B Glamping, 2 tent sites for campers and 6 Tents which have linen included and creature comforts. All our listings have access to toilet and amenities. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. Mount Morgan was a mining town. Mining of clay in a nearby hill for the production of furnace bricks continuing until the early 1900s, the resulting man-made caves came to be known as the Fireclay Caverns, which contained large openings that measure between 4–12 metres in height from the cave floor. Dinosaur footprints (preserved as infills) were later found in nine different sections of the Caverns, lining the ceiling dated to the Early Jurassic. There is also a community swimming pool, skate park and general playground near the Dee River on Butler St. The town has three pubs, an IGA, and a small general store directly across the street from the camp site. The Grand Hotel is the oldest pub, and is still trading in town.

With plenty of space between sites there's no need to be worried about being jam packed in like a caravan park. That's one thing we aim to avoid. Our property is a work in progress. Having purchased it 5 years ago as a very baron and blank canvas we now have over 20 varieties of fruit trees planted over the last few years, with countless days and weeks spent landscaping, gardening and spreading topsoil for lawns. Its still far from perfect but its something we love and want to share. There is just over 1 km of smooth gravel road to our turn off, and our driveway is also gravel and moderately steep. 2WD vehicles can make it up, it just requires a little momentum. However if you are towing anything substantial you will require a 4WD. The two sites are right up the top of the hill, but still suitable for larger vans (over 20ft) and small busses - provided the towing vehicles etc are okay with climbing the driveway.

There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained. Activities: Stargazing: With minimal light pollution, our location is perfect for stargazing. Lay out a blanket and be one with nature. Campfires: Enjoy a classic campfire experience. Roast marshmallows, share stories, and embrace the warmth of the fire (maybe not so much in summer). Photography: Whether you're a professional photographer or just love snapping pictures with your phone, the ever-changing landscapes and wildlife make for fantastic photo opportunities. Bushwalking/ mountain biking: With up to 20kms of bushing walking or mountain biking, enjoy the natural bushland and wildlife. Nearby Attractions: Royal Mount Larcom Hotel: Enjoy an amazing meal at the Royal Mount Larom Hotel Mount Larcom Climb: 360-degree view of the Gladstone area, rural lands and the harbour. 5 hours should be allowed to complete the climb. Fishing: Only 39 kms away from the Ramsey Crossing boat ramp were you launch you boat an go fishing and crabbing. Come and create unforgettable memories on our land, where nature's beauty and outdoor experiences await you. We can't wait to host you!

Located between Rockhampton and Emu Park beach. 711 Thompson Point Road Nankin Our campsites are located in a rural setting with plenty of shady trees, friendly cows and mountain views close to the Fitzroy River. Relax around a campfire on a peaceful dam and listen to the kookaburras. Dip your toes into the cool water whilst sipping watching the sunset. It is 10km to the upgraded Fitzroy River/Thompson Point boat ramp and pontoon. Enjoy some excellent fishing and crabbing on the river, bird watching and bush walking up the many hills. Only 1/2 hr. drive to the beaches (Emu Park and Yeppoon), National Parks (Mt Etna Caves, Mt Archer Baga, Limestone Creek), and Rockhampton (Kershaw Gardens and Rockhampton Free Zoo). Campfires in the firepits provided on each site. (Welcomed to BYO own firepit). Pre-cut fire wood for sale on site. Pets are welcome, however the must be kept within your allocated campsite area and supervised at all time. (Dogs are not allowed to chase livestock or native animals). Quiet genset are also allowed. Definitely no boats to be backed into the dam for washing purposes. Fish cleaning and boat washing facilities at the solar bore near front entrance. Telstra mobile reception (3G & 4G). TV reception with antenna. We a setup for fully self contained camping, however there is a basic bush shower/toilet available for our campers. The dam is a pristine eco area and no soap/detergents/chemicals to used in/around it. The dam is stocked with yabbies, silver perch and bass – catch and release. Camp site caters for 2 Adults and up to 4 kids per site. Come and Take-A-Break.
