Mount Morgan is situated on the Dee River, 38 km south of Rockhampton, and is an old gold mining town with lots of history and two museums, a railway and a town history museum. There are plenty of lookouts to see out over the town and the mine site. The Number 7 Dam, has walking and mountain bike tracks for beginners and the more advanced. We have 6 listings available at Meyenburg B&B Glamping, 2 tent sites for campers and 6 Tents which have linen included and creature comforts. All our listings have access to toilet and amenities. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. Mount Morgan was a mining town. Mining of clay in a nearby hill for the production of furnace bricks continuing until the early 1900s, the resulting man-made caves came to be known as the Fireclay Caverns, which contained large openings that measure between 4–12 metres in height from the cave floor. Dinosaur footprints (preserved as infills) were later found in nine different sections of the Caverns, lining the ceiling dated to the Early Jurassic. There is also a community swimming pool, skate park and general playground near the Dee River on Butler St. The town has three pubs, an IGA, and a small general store directly across the street from the camp site. The Grand Hotel is the oldest pub, and is still trading in town.

Mount Morgan is situated on the Dee River, 38 km south of Rockhampton, and is an old gold mining town with lots of history and two museums, a railway and a town history museum. There are plenty of lookouts to see out over the town and the mine site. The Number 7 Dam, the town's water supply, has walking and mountain bike tracks for beginners and the more advanced.  Guests will have access to a toilet during their stay, along with drinking water, rubbish facilities, laundry and wifi. Our Meyenburg tent site is situated within the Meyenburg B&B complex. There are multiple outdoor tables at front of property for dining you have access to the outside communal kitchen with fridge & freezers, cooking equipment, crockery & cutlery, toilet/ shower and laundry with free washing machines Linen and towels are supplied including basic toiletries. Campers will have a fire pit near the picnic table and BBQ. Our camper is part of the Meyenburg Bed and Breakfast which is located directly across the Dee River from the Mount Morgan Gold Mine. Disappointed accommodation.
Meyenburg Glamping, Queen bed Tent
It mentions dogs are allowed but the property dogs restricted us very much. Also the site is still under construction that is not completed. Glamping was not the word to use, as we could not have a campfire at our tent, and the original location for a fire are not easy to reach. We was not impressed at all, as we did had some laughter that was not excessively loud, and we were told to be more silent. It is run like a mine camp, and not like any campsite we visited anywhere else for several times. The owner are friendly but this facility is incorrectly advertised to the photos available online and that is not what we expected. We definitely do not recommend this as a glamping site as it needs to more like a mine site camp with incompleted construction. We were really scared of the dogs on her property and the staircase was not relocated to avoid going through her dogs. We really do not recoomend this place until it is fully completed, the dogs directed to a safer location, and the house lights not to shine into the tent. Campfires to be allowed with people able to sit at least freely outside their hired tents to smoke. Keeping that in mind that it is not mine workers renting the tents. At least update the photos and keep the rules clear, as it is wrong advertising at the least.

Meyenburg Bring Your Own Tent
Lovely Camp with lovely people. I am very glad I chose this camp and got to enjoy the best company I had in a while. BBQ Sunday is great! It`s a cute little Town with lots to do. I recommend going up to the lookout close to the camp early in the morning to see some wallabys.

Telling the truth. Pet friendly. Fee dog **** everywhere. Camping in someones back yard is not what I wanted. Have a shower in the hosts house. Asking for cars to be moved so you can get out or in. And have to pay for it.
