We had a wonderful stay at this campsite! The facilities were clean and well-maintained, including the toilets and showers. The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive. They informed us that it is a nudist-friendly site, but emphasized that it is not mandatory—very considerate. Overall, a lovely place with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

With kids
Carmen was so polite and helpful, the camping was great for escape from the city life, the walk with Uncle Erl was really nice , he showed us the waterfalls and shared information about the djibugay customs and lifestyle.
Also the pizza at the camping was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying at Billabong Kuranda and go to the pub/ cafe as the night we went it had live music and super cool atmosphere!

My first HipCamp experience was excellent at the Billabong. Arriving on Pizza night, I was off to an excellent start. Outlook was beautiful in every direction. Facilities were basic but adequate- it’s not the Ritz. Staff are so VERY kind and helpful but most importantly, the coffee is amazing.
Chill, positive environment with bonus local Guinea fowl ❤️
