We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here.
This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here.
No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in.
The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type.
Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you.
Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban.
We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc

The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay.
All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area.

Bottle Tree Farm is 10 acres situated on top of a slightly sloping hill which overlooks the surrounding hills, farming crops and Boat Mountain. We have a very old big bottle tree in the middle of our farm, which is one of the biggest in QLD. The sunsets are absolutely amazing here, so golden. The rural roads are lovely for an early or late evening walk on. We rent out a fully contained studio as well which is seperate and inside the farm fencing only for booked guests. Pets welcome for a small fee.
You will be sharing the paddock with three beautiful friendly horses, roaming at their own pace. In the paddock there is also a little renovated shed turned into a cute outhouse called the Heart Shed. Which is just being finished, soon to be able to be booked.
The farm is within a 7 min drive of two IGAs. Plus very close to all the wineries (10 km approx) and it’s delicious food! It’s also the same distance to nearby Bjelke Peterson Dam for water skiing and water sports. Wondai has some gorgeous shops including a wellness shop with a magnesium float tank, antique shops, and the likes. There is a dairy museum in Murgon. A dinosaur and fossil museum called 55 Million Year Old Museum in Murgon too. Also a visit to the Ration Shed Museum in the Indigenous and alcohol free community of Cherbourg is very educational and really worth a visit and only 10 mins away. It has beautiful indigenous pottery and art too. Boat Mountain is nearby and has spectacular views and is a beautiful walk with lots of Koalas.
The area I believe, is a hidden secret and has a sacred feel. Come and experience it for yourself.

Mobile reception is patchy — we encourage guests to put their phones aside, unwind, and let the outside world drift away while you reconnect with nature.

We live on 50 acres, 6 km from the town of Blackbutt QLD. Our tent site gives you a relaxing atmosphere with modern conveniences.
Luxury tent with a queen bed and electric blanket for your chilly nights, electric fan including power for charging your phone.
Fully equipped kitchenette, with a medium fridge with freezer, includes everything you need to prepare any meal.
BBQ , Gas cooker with kettle, pots and pans , plates, mugs, all utensils and wine glasses, as well as a water jug and glasses.
Potable water.
Twin baths for a hot soak under the stars.
Twin hammocks to relax and read your favourite book or just take in the view of blue skies and tall trees.
Bathroom with modern hot shower and a clean composting toilet
Sit beside the Fire Pit in front of a relaxing cascading waterfall and pond to enjoy your morning coffee or your cold Drinks and nibbles at sunset.
Things to do..
Visit the famous well known Blackbutt bakery .
Brisbane Valley Rail Trail can be accessed from either the small town of Benarkin or Blackbutt approximately 6km away.
Don’t feel like cooking the popular Radnor Hotel in Blackbutt serves up a variety of delicious meals, lunch and dinner , which also has a courtesy bus.
If you want to do some day trips
Bunya Mountains which offers rainforest walks and restaurants is about 1 hour drive away.
A number of Wineries to explore in the South Burnett wine trail , a truly hidden gem amongst the vines.

We had a wonderful stay at the stargazer’s cabin! Our dog absolutely loved having the freedom to run around in the fenced yard and even made friends with the friendly horses nearby.
The stars at night were incredibly clear, and it was so peaceful being surrounded by nature, especially waking up to the sound of birds in the morning.
We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to come back again!

Tidy little spot with everything you need to escape the madness for a couple of days relaxation. Basic power, lighting, shower and flush toilet. Idyllic creek to cool off in. Look out for the local wildlife: plenty of birds and a big goanna!

We absolutely loved our two night stay and it was the most relaxed we have felt in years. Every detail was taken care of, simply drive in and have a beautiful camping experience without packing a thing. Peaceful, clean, comfy bed and beautiful outdoor shower. We enjoyed watching the stars and having a camp fire. 10/10.

thank you so much for letting us stay with you at star gazers cabin, we loved being there and out two dogs sailor and scout had such a blast!
We had the yummiest dinner on the camp fire and the coffee in the morning was amazing.
