We welcome self-sufficient campers who seek to disconnect, rewild and enjoy an intimate camping experience. To ensure a private and relaxed environment, we limit the campground to two large sites within this paddock, providing ample space for caravans, campers, and tents. Each site covers approximately 900 square meters, allowing plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Nestled in a valley of rolling green hills beneath Mapleton National Park you'll find our beautiful property. Easy access from a well maintained dirt road. Cedar creek runs through the middle of the property for a nice refreshing swim in the swimming hole by the bridge or explore the meandering creek. There is a 4wd access road through to the mapleton national park for you to enjoy the hiking trails and nature.
We want your camping experience at Cedar Banks to be delightful while respecting our local community, wildlife, and surroundings.
To keep the area pristine, fires must be in allocated pits. You must bring your own wood or purchase some from us in advance and we will have it ready for you on arrival.
Pets are welcome with prior approval, but they must follow property rules. Swimming is allowed only during daylight hours, and caution is advised due to natural creek conditions. Jumping or diving is prohibited.
For the safety of all guests, property access is strictly for booked individuals, and non-paying visitors are not permitted. We encourage exploration on foot, as all areas are easily accessible. Please do not drive your vehicle around the property.
As there are no on-site toilets, kindly bring your own camp toilet and ensure proper waste removal. You will find a free dump point at Eumundi RV stop over on Napier road or in Kenilworth at the Showgrounds.
At Cedar Banks, we promote a friendly and respectful environment. Let's all contribute to a memorable and enjoyable camping experience by adhering to these simple guidelines.
PLEASE NOTE: Cedar Banks is currently seeking development approval from the Sunshine Coast Council to operate a function facility (i.e. venue) and hipcamp. Cedarton is a small farm on 100 acres, we have cows, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep and horses. We have wild deer, wallabies and kangaroos that come in the mornings and afternoons. If the kids like to get involved, I can take them around in the morning to feed the animals, we have around 30 head of cattle, calves, 2 horses, 2 goats, one pet sheep, chickens and ducks. We have a cow called Cutie Pie, she loves a cuddle.
Happy to spend time with the kids to show them the jobs we do daily. Parents can join in or sit back and relax. Takes about 1 hour in the morning. If it's school holidays, we build scarecrow's, plant sunflowers or other crops together. Wash rescue horses or any other job on the farm.
Kids love collecting the eggs and cooking them up for their breakfast.
We also have a pool at the farmhouse which campers can use between 9am - 11.30am daily.
If you like hiking there's a couple you can do, one that takes around 30 mins and one that takes 2 hours.
Plenty of space to play cricket, football or ride push bikes. If you like fishing there's creeks nearby as well.
Each camp site will have wood for fires, if you require more you can buy some on site for $20 a bag. Please don't bring wood in because of biosecurity and fire ants.

We are close to Australia Zoo, Big Kart track at Beerwah, Maleny Dairies, Kondalilla falls, Gardener waterfalls, Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. There's a cheese factory, chocolate factory and wineries in Maleny.
Fantastic restaurants in Montville.
We are also 10 mins from Woodford Folk Festival.
We are off grid only for campers, campervans and caravans we have no amenities at this current time.
How ever if you want a porta loo Dinkem Dunnies are great and deliver porta loos. Roughly costs $250 to hire.
4x4 if towing because of dirt driveway and paddocks.
Pet friendly however we do ask that no pets chase animals.

Harper Creek Road and Harper Creek Criss cross one another as you drive through the valley. The ridges either side of the road are largely timbered, whereas the valley floor is productive land. The large property is located towards the end of this no-through-road, almost at the end of the line. While the property has dual access from both Engle Rd at the top camp; Harper Creek Rd, we enter from the valley.
Camping on the top block is also available for 4WD vehicles only and not suited to large caravans.
Campers are required to be self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pits with firewood provided or BYO.
The mid-1900’s cottage sits in an idyllic setting, framed by the trees. The cottage is not yet available for Farm stays but will be soon. The location, vegetation and topography provide the privacy, the fauna & birdlife (the Bellbirds) combine to provide the solitude. Harper Creek cuts through the front corner of the property where it is met by a minor creek that drains the high country.
You want more … how about a total of 115 acres (46.42 ha). While it is predominantly well-treed, it does have some cleared camping opportunities. It is watered by the creeks and one dam. There’s a great camping site at the top of the block, with a fantastic view!
The property is off Aherns Rd, close to the village of Conondale and mid-way between Maleny & Kenilworth. With good access to the freeway via either Maleny or Kenilworth.… a perfect bush camping spot in a perfect setting!

Everything was wonderful from booking through to our departure. Cass was so lovely and helpful, and my daughter absolutely loved getting up close and personal with the animals. The farm is beautiful and peaceful, and the Red Deer site is easy to get to, well-kept and has plenty of room. I highly recommend it! :)

The campsite has a creek running straight through it, perfect for the kids to play in for hours on end.
Cassandra took everyone out to see and feed the animals, along with a complimentary carton of eggs.

Top camping area was private and shady almost surrounded by trees. The only interruption the whole time was from the occassional visit by a kelpie, but a really nice dog so not a problem. There was enough space to comfortably manoeuvre camper trailer. It was a short walk to the creek although it was only a trickle when we stayed. Only problem we experienced was getting enough sun on our solar panels, although if camping a bit lower on the hill that wouldn't be an issue. Not sure I would have been as comfortable on one of the bottom camping sites which are quite exposed.

It was our 3rd time visiting Silverview and we will definitely be back again, one of our favourite spots. Only a short drive to beaches and a beautiful private spot on Wes’s land. Wes is always so friendly and accommodating, highly recommended a visit to anyone interested!
