These best describe this 754 hectare (1864 acres) property. Stonepine Ridge is 'remote' - your camp sites are away from any dwellings - but you are still close enough to country towns across borders. Map to get here ( https://stonepineridge.com.au/map/ ) There is plenty of space for social distancing. Most camp sites are 50 or more metres apart. The terrain is mostly treed with some cleared, pastured country. On the border with the Queensland town of Stanthorpe, Stonepine Ridge is close to the historic areas of Willsons Downfall and Amosfield in New South Wales. Home to many rivers that traverse the property from top to bottom, the Boonoo Boonoo and Bookookookarara rivers and Undercliffe and Boonoo Boono Falls are close by and are popular sites to spend a few hours walking/hiking and immersing yourself in the ambient countryside. The Boonoo Boonoo and Bald rock National Parks are also within this area. The beautiful New England town of Tenterfield is about 20 minutes drive from the falls and offers visitors many shopping and restaurant options. Be sure to stop en route to visit the World War 2 tank traps - (Australia's Maginot Line) and Thunderbolt's hideout. A short drive across the border into Queensland will give you access to the Girraween National Park and a host of wineries, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. This camping property is large and you will find no better place that allows for gentle as well as more advanced walking, hiking and mountain biking. The altitude on the property varies from 900m at the top down to 50m to the bottom. The temperature is variable with mostly cool nights, which makes for restful sleep and a nice fire to add to the ambience.

I have 8 sites at the moment each one is in a open bushland setting with lovely views, no site is within 100 meters of another and each one has a different view with lots of privacy, and all Dog and Kid friendly, shallow water, and deep water for swimming or kayaking , creeks, animals to feed and heaps of room to run and play. Adult friendly, huge sites for big groups and plenty of space, great swimming and lots of things to here and in the surrounding areas. Some sites are more suited to Caravans as the access is better and some are better suited to campers / 4WD but all can be accessed with a regular car. We have NO road frontage so sites are private, quiet and safe and only 3ks off the New England Highway. All campers MUST bring their own Chemical toilet and shower facilities. A small rest room and shower is available in case of emergency only I run a working farm raising Sheep and Lambs, Chickens, Ducks, Horses, Donkeys, Vegies, Preserves and Jams. Farm produce is available on request and availability, eg Free range eggs , farm raised Lamb, locally sourced Bacon for the BBQ , and seasonal vegetables, jams and chutneys. Thanks to the Beautiful rain we have had recently, our large dam is full, providing a wonderful spot for swimming, paddling or just splashing about, the Dam has long sloping access so is great for families and dogs, PLEASE NOTE The Google Maps photo is way out of date, our Dam is full. For those who may be into Waterskiing or Fishing Leslie Dam is a 10 min drive away and offers fishing and water sports then come back to your quiet camp away from the crowds. We are 20 min South of Warwick, We are only 30 min from the Stanthorpe Wineries, Breweries fresh fruit and Vege, Cheese factory to name a few things to do. A little further along you will find Girraween National Park renowned for amazing walks. Warwick Hosts the Biggest and Best Campdraft and Rodeo on the last full week of October (Covid permitting) as well as the quirky Jumpers and Jazz festival in July. Steam Train Journeys , half or full days, We have an amazing motor sport venue which holds meet every weekend, cars bikes, vintage, minis, Porsche's, you name it they race it every weekend. As well as many Equestrian Events, you can spend the day out exploring and then you can come back to your beautiful campsite, that is if you have not decided to stay relaxing and swimming for the day in the quiet watching the sheep and horses pass bye to then watch the Sunset and wildlife then look at the amazing night sky. Welcome to Emu creek Retreat One of the best destinations for hiking, camping, bushwalking, swimming, Kayaking, fishing, mountain bike riding (bicycles only), bird watching, 4wdriving and even fossicking, since the old gold mining town "Lunatics" was not far away from us. Dogs, men's best friend, are definitely welcome. If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Gerard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

Thanks Mark and Siv for a nice relaxing weekend. The campsite is very private and quiet. Mark invited us up to watch him roast coffee beans in his roaster which was really interesting. You’re free to explore the whole property or to just sit and relax around the fire pit. Nice to get away from the noise of city life.

Well grassed spacious and private site. Very tranquil setting. Got our 19 foot van in. On departure if towing and leaving via the 2wd get the 1st gate open so you don't have to stop. We stopped to open the gate couldn't get traction, reversed back to the creek and gave it another go without having to stop for the gate. All good. Left the gates as we found them. A good spot for a getaway

Very lovely hosts. Lovely grassy areas. Large campsites and good amount of spacing between campers. Unfortunately due to floods the river wasn't the greatest and access was a bit difficult due to errosion making cliff edges, but still pretty to camp next too. The hosts were very flexible with our booking as we paid for 2 nights but could only attend 1, but still messaged through they would allow us to come back another time for a 'free night'. Much appreciated.

We had the most gorgeous spot on the river at Warrego Farms. Glorious big open skies to see magic sunsets and starry nights. Paddling and fishing in the river, campfire cooking, and so many birds. We had a porta loo close by which was well looked after. We even bought some honey from Lesley, which is the best we’ve had in a very long while. We highly recommend checking it out.

We had an amazing and relaxing one night getaway at this spot. Paul was a super friendly and accommodating host who made our stay comfortable and hassle free. The dog loved exploring the property with us and swimming in the creek. We enjoyed watching the native wildlife and even had a close encounter with a Tawny Frogmouth who visited our campsite in the evening! Also a great spot for families with kayaks and games available for use. Couldn’t have had a better experience and would highly recommend.

This beautiful 200-acre property is the perfect place to get away from it all. We have a hilltop area where you can view the sunrise from the east and the sunset in the west, with absolutely no light pollution. On a clear night, the galaxy is astounding to view. The property has multiple areas of creek frontage with both kid and adult-friendly swimming areas. There is a good area for using a small kayak (depending on the creek levels) or floating along on an inner tube, and beautiful views and wildlife abound. You may even get a visit from our beautiful king parrots. You can also enjoy bushwalking, birdwatching, and fishing, and there are even deer on the property, but they’re rarely seen. If you’re keen, you can take your 4WD to the end of Emu Creek Road, where you can start your trek up to the old plane wreck. Bushwalking to the Steamers (for the very experienced) can be accessed at the end of Emu Creek Road. We are a working cattle farm and have around 40 head of cattle.

Camping site is located in 41 acres of natural bush land, the perfect get away for nature lovers, hikers, horse riders and bird watchers. There is a dam and a forested area studded with granite boulders. The property is in an an elevated spot, it has lovely views and great places to camp and there's a lovely yielding atmosphere of peace and tranquility. There are accessible walking trails through the property with several areas of slightly sloping ground. We are a ten minute drive from Girraween National park, a popular haunt for hikers and bird and nature lovers in general. Ballandean winery and the Ballandean pub is also close, it serves affordable and wholesome dinners and there is a shop and a cafe as well as a restaurant there. The town of Jennings is a small, quirky town close to the border, with a population of about 150. Jennings is in two time zones, both QLD and NSW! There are many popular wineries in the region, three of which have wonderful restaurant meals. 13 minutes drive going south, is the much-loved federation town of Tenterfield - with appealing cafes, clothes shops, country outfitters, the famous Tenterfield Saddlery and a cinema which seats about 50, a railway museum, a stylish yet friendly Commercial Hotel for eating out and a historic café where federation was called into being by Henry Parkes. There are occasional Saturday morning markets too. A fun place to hang out! No motorbikes or hunting please. This land is for wildlife and supports wallabies, kangaroos and a variety of birds. On walks around the property you can spot various delicate purple, white, yellow and rust coloured flowers.

Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies. We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane. Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. CALLEMONDAH FARM CAMPING Callemondah is a 1500 acre Farm owned by Norm and Rhonda Betts located south of Warwick in Queensland. Callemondah is Aboriginal for "Many Hills" and the Farm is an Aussie Whites Sheep Stud Farm. Callemondah Camping is a new designated camping area that overlooks a picturesque waterhole and park like setting. There are fire pits to cook your food with and to have a campfire, just ask for a load of firewood or book it through Hipcamp here. We can hold and cater for functions such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings and Corporate Outdoor and Team building Functions. We do allow dogs that must remain on a leash at all times. You can also bring your horse/s on planned events and ride through the paddocks and hills of Callemondah Farm. The farm is a scenic mixture of wide open grazing fields and areas of native bushland which features native bird life and wildlife such as cockatoos, black cockatoos, galahs, crows, mapgies, kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and more. The Rosenthal creek meanders through Callemondah Farm which is very beautiful and makes for a lovely walk or to sit beside and create a painting. You can go for an amble throughout the farm or do a larger hike and take in the spectacular views from the various high points. (by arrangement only) Breeding Stud Sheep is the main agricultural activity on the Farm and there are pigs in the newly built piggery, poultry, farm dogs, horses and other farm animals featured. You can drive into Warwick which is only 5 minutes away, go for a country drive or take a trip to Stanthorpe, Allora, Yangan and other towns for the day or to visit markets and events. There are various National Parks you can visit to go hiking and we can organize horse riding and other activities for you and your family. Find us on a large property on the banks of the Timbarra River, located 20 km / 30 min south of Drake Village (an old gold mining community). We share the property with lots of wildlife, and with our resident cows. There is currently only one camping site accessible by car (the River Block), but if you're up for a trek we can point you to the back hills where you'll find a whole other world. Your hosts live further back on the property so you can find us if you need help. Please note there is no mobile reception, so it is a great way to get away from it all. There are no bins here... please remove all your rubbish on departure. Campfires are welcome (when no fire ban). You can bring your own firewood, or gather what fallen timber you can find. There is currently no toilet, shower or drinking water so please bring your supplies. Pets possible on request. We love having furry friends visiting, but we also love our local wildlife and our lawnmower cows, and we like to keep their camper experience stress-free too.

Bajimba Eco Camp is part of our stunning family property nestled in the surrounds of Mt Bajimba in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 40 minutes south east of Tenterfield. Historically known as a resting point for bullock teams hauling timber from the surrounding forests on their way to a saw mill in the lower valley, Bajimba is now home to Merv & Carey. We are just over 1080 metres above sea level, with 57 acres of eucalypt & grass tree forests, grass pastures, and a small (but mighty) organic farm. Accommodation options include "West View “situated at our highest elevation with incredible views from the deck, and "Bullock Camp" which can accommodate tents, caravans or motor homes. When making travel arrangements, note we are in NSW and therefore are 1 hour ahead of QLD during day light savings months. It is encouraged if possible that guests arrive before 6pm to ensure a smooth and stress free check in to camp. Being able to experience the sunset is all a part of your Bajimba stay! Amenities for both sites include an ablution block with hot shower and composting toilet, with steam sauna and wood-fired hot tub available by appointment. Please call at time of booking if hot tub and sauna facilities are required (especially for same-days bookings). Wood fired hot tubs require four hours to heat appropriately. Also note that all toiletries are provided to ensure that our critical farm ecosystem is maintained. Bajimba backs on to Washpool National Park, providing thousands of acres for 4wd exploring, with fishing, hunting, hiking, bird watching only a stones throw away.
