Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s. You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky. Binghi Station is designed for the 4x4 enthusiasts. In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is very rugged and bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. Its the 4x4 adventure. We would rather talk it down than up:-) Currently we do not recommend SUV AWD type cars due to there lower profile and vulnerability to bumps and ruts. It is doable many do it all however about driver confidence and add another upto 2hours to trip :-) We recommend parking up the top driveway and having a preplanned lift down. BE WARNED The driveway and some tracks are rough suited for 4x4 adventure enthusiasts that like to use there pride and joy offroad gear for what its intended. ps One thing we can say you will never get bogged on our driveway no matter the rain fall as its very compacted despite its authentic rough character. The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers and smaller length caravans. All our other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. Binghi Station - an extraordinary place to make some truly wonderful family memories. :-)

Bajimba Eco Camp is part of our stunning family property nestled in the surrounds of Mt Bajimba in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 40 minutes south east of Tenterfield. Historically known as a resting point for bullock teams hauling timber from the surrounding forests on their way to a saw mill in the lower valley, Bajimba is now home to Merv & Carey. We are just over 1080 metres above sea level, with 57 acres of eucalypt & grass tree forests, grass pastures, and a small (but mighty) organic farm. Accommodation options include "West View “situated at our highest elevation with incredible views from the deck, and "Bullock Camp" which can accommodate tents, caravans or motor homes. When making travel arrangements, note we are in NSW and therefore are 1 hour ahead of QLD during day light savings months. It is encouraged if possible that guests arrive before 6pm to ensure a smooth and stress free check in to camp. Being able to experience the sunset is all a part of your Bajimba stay! Amenities for both sites include an ablution block with hot shower and composting toilet, with steam sauna and wood-fired hot tub available by appointment. Please call at time of booking if hot tub and sauna facilities are required (especially for same-days bookings). Wood fired hot tubs require four hours to heat appropriately. Also note that all toiletries are provided to ensure that our critical farm ecosystem is maintained. Merv's land is in a beautiful location up high in the hills. My campsite was private and I saw kangaroos and bunnies hopping by, and pretty birds as well as farm animals. The road up there is mostly unsealed but it was easily doable in my camper van especially as I went in dry weather. The toilets were a bit far away from my unpowered site for a 60 yo lady nighttime visit because I was afraid I'd trip, but I had my own anyway. The shower and toilet facilities were very clean and attractive being uniquely designed from recycled building materials. A lovely place for my overnight stay.

Weekend Trip to Binghi Station
We were lucky enough to arrive just after some pretty severe storms went through & were the only ones there. We had the entire 4,000 acres to ourselves! We took our electric mountain bikes & loved riding or walking to Sandy Falls, or even Secret Gorge, which was a little more challenging. Jump’n Rock is about 1/2 an hour by 4WD & absolutely worth the effort. All three sites are absolutely spectacular! Plenty of good camp sites at Shearing Shed Campground but as Adrian says, be prepared as none of them are level. We were OK as we have airbag suspension. Adrian, Oratai & their 5 year old twins were perfect hosts & couldn’t do enough for us. Such a lovely family, they deserve to do well. Worth mentioning the track in. Adrian is careful to state that the track is 4WD only & be aware that whatever you are towing needs plenty of ground clearance also. We have a Ford Ranger & towed a 20’ extreme off road van. The track is very well compacted, so we were never going to get bogged but some of the hills were quite rutted & rocky & we had our hearts in our mouths on the way out, with all 4 wheels spinning! Adrian tells me he has a D6 bulldozer booked in the next month or so, so that should make a huge difference. All in all, we just loved our experience at Binghi Station. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning! Beautiful night spent in the Bell tent up the top of the property! Stunning views and so lovley watching the storm roll in! We hired the wood fired hot tub which is 300mtrs down from the tent next to Merv's cute little home! The bed was so comfortable, they have everything you need to enjoy your stay! Weekend Trip to Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat
Location was superb, the Glamping tents location was private and provided a sanctuary away from the rest of world, even more so without reception (Telstra reception may exist in the area, but not really anywhere along the river). Having a stretch of the river to yourself elevates the getaway to a whole new level. We did have a slight hiccup that lead to cold showers on the first rainy night, but Dan and Kristy were straight on to it, even offering to visit the campsite at 10pm to fix it for us. The camp set up is rustic, but works for a quick getaway away from the hustle and bustle.

Wow! Go. Just go! If you have a high clearance 4wd and love the outdoors - just do it. Adrian's property is gorgeous! Well maintained and Adrian himself is very personable, accommodating and helpful. The Shearers Shed Campground is spacious, lovely farm views, orange trees, toilets and a shower space to hang your portable shower and the sheep are friendly. Plenty of open space for the kids to run and play and there are various trees to provide some relief from the sun - and only a short walk to the Falls. The Gorge Campground was my fave! Good amenities including a shower setup. Campsites were beautiful next to the Gorge and the Gorge itself had a lovely swing and was a great swimming hole. Serenity plus! The falls.... Wow... Heaven... The falls were running - albeit not grand in flow or height, but it did not matter. This place has its own special magic that has to be experienced to be understood. Jumping Rock Campground was a beautiful spot if you like a good view and a more remote spot. It IS stunning. For me, I like to swim alot. So it wasn't my preferred campground just for this reason as the water wasn't flowing well and access to swimming in the water holes was a little more challenging. BUT, if you are there for the serenity and the views and love elevated gorges - this is for you. Overall - MAGIC. And I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone that is a nature lover. Adrian... Thank YOU. You are one lucky man!!!

15/10/25 Had an absolutely great time at Sandy Falls. Highly recommend. The whole spot to ourselves. Lots waterfalls and beautiful water. We also organised a breakfast on our last pack up day and the food was delicious. For noting…. The driveway in is 6kms long but took us 41mins going like 5-10klm as the the dirt road is 4x4. We had a jeep (very capable) and pop top camper trailer (not as capable as didn’t have a highland hitch) and needed to take it slow and steady so not to do any damage. It’s doable just need to be careful. Lots of farm animals - Peacocks, Peahens, Wallaby’s, sheep, farm dogs etc…. Will def do again.

First time “glamping” instead of camping and What an incredible experience from booking to packing up to head home the entire process was made incredibly easy and enjoyable with Kristy & Dan being an absolute stand out as hosts. We stayed in the tiny home “Tiny house on the Rockies” and what can we say except BOOK IT NOW! absolutely everything was provided just bring your food, bevies and fishing rods! The tiny home was perfect to retire to after a fun and relaxing day taking in the parcel of paradise! The giant covered deck was an absolute gem, with rocking chairs and outdoor lounge and a top of the line bbq/kitchen set up we happily lazed the days away with the dogs (yes it’s dog friendly! And we were made to feel so welcome with the fur babies!) in the shade watching the river, morning coffees as the dew broke and evenings watching the stars come out and illuminated the sky from the outdoor bath. The tubes make for a fun lazy float down the river in the warmth of the day and the fire fueled bath tub perfect to warm up and unwind as the evening weather cooled off. We can’t wait to go back and experience it in winter. Thank you so much to Kristy and Dan for a 10/10 experience!

We absolutely loved our time at Eagle Ridge bush retreat. This property is stunning and everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The glamping site we booked had everything, from the riverside deck to our own private toilet and shower. This site was so well thought out we couldn't fault it at all. If you want a peaceful getaway by the river we strongly recommend Eagle Ridge. Kristy and Dan were really friendly and helpful and they made the stay all the more enjoyable. Will definitely be back to enjoy this property again!

Lots of wildlife and farm animals but plenty of space around the site so wasnt a problem with our dog. Toilets and shower were very well set up and clean. Overall awesome spot to stay. Thanks Merv.
