Purchased in 1988 as a block of Bush, the majority of clearing was initially done with a small Massey Ferguson Te20 a long length of chain a shovel and chainsaw.Built originally with nothing more than the chainsaw, shovel, hammer and nails the log cabin that I still live in has undergone a few changes over the years but we have tried to keep it looking the same on the outside made mostly from large hardwood posts and paperbark slabs and half rounds for walls concrete floor with sunken lounge room. The hand built rock chimney is the feature piece of the front of the cabin so be sure to check it out and get a few pics.

Wrinkles camp is only one site, so no neighbours, with over 10 acres to access other areas for walking or bird watching. We have horses and cattle and it is a quiet and peaceful spot to kick back and relax.
Peaceful van site or can pitch a tent, with toilet, shower, lights and electricity, all under a fully paved shed with seats.
Enjoy a great fire pit in front of shed, with hand made log seats. Well behaved dogs allowed on a leash, as we have dogs and other animals on property
The single campsite (yes just the one site) overlooks a large dam with jetty. Horses and cattle roam around out the back. Feed the wild birds such as duck, parrots, kookaburras, and more.
Just 5 minutes from Smiths Crossing for fresh water fishing, canoeing or swimming or go to Moore Park for a swim, surf or take the bike and use their great cycling paths. Other beaches close by are Miara, Norval Park and further away are Winfield, Baffle creek and the iconic Agnes Waters and 1770. All great spots to fish or crab.
The Avondale Pub is 1km away with great meals and drinks, and the Bucca Pub is 10 minutes away with weekend entertainment. Jo's road house is just up the road and has all the essentials food wise with great pizzas, and fuel. Next to Jo's is an RACQ centre and mechanics. All this at your fingertips or just kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet in amongst the large gum trees and native lemon scented gums.

Wrinkles Bush Stay is a 10/10 must visit. It is the perfect blend of privacy with all the creature comforts you could need. Pull up your van and set up nothing because you have it all. A hot shower, toilet, fantastic patio with built in furniture including a bar overlooking the fire pit (which has flood lights) you have your own self contained area with a quant bush craft fence. You have a bit of bush walking to do which is great and there are giant gumtrees everywhere and firewood galore! I also found some great sticks to craft a couple walking poles and some smaller pieces that could make great spoons. I really enjoyed walking the property, I saw wallabies, a duck, a stallion and a mare, three bulls and three cows. I saw eagles and honey eaters I also saw black cockatoos flying in large flocks overhead in the afternoons which was a highlight. Really one of my favourite spots. I recommend staying here after camping off grid for a while to recharge. Couldn’t say one thing wrong about the place. Extended as long as I could. Thanks for having me.

This was our second time camping here for a week and it did not disappoint. It's so nice to have the whole space to yourself along with the covered area with power, toilet, hot shower and a great firepit from which we had many delightful meals. For those who enjoy wildlife spotting, I've seen over 55 species of birds on the property, wallabies, kangaroos, goanna, snakes and microbats, the horses and cattle are very friendly and enjoy a pat. Firewood is plentiful if you have a decent large toothed handsaw or chainsaw as it's very hard wood. Owners are also very friendly and communicative.
Highly recommend staying here.

Rules Beach turtle monitoring and bush camp was something special. Wide open camp spaces meaning privacy for all in a beautiful bush setting. Perfect if you want to be away from the crowds of caravan parks. Dog friendly and the site is a few minutes from the beach. Nicki the host is very friendly and is an encyclopaedia of knowledge about the local turtle population. Baffle Creek is 16 minutes drive away with shops, great pub ‘zincalumbar’ with very friendly locals. 10/10
