Take a stroll to the campsite lookout. Enjoy some spectacular night time star gazing. There is no phone reception so you can be fully immersed in your outdoor experience. We are located just over 1.5 hours from Darwin, and about halfway between Katherine and Darwin via an old section of the original Stuart Highway. With only one site available you will have plenty of space and privacy. There is however enough space for 3 - 4 vehicles with vans so if you are travelling with your mates as a group you may book for extra vehicles. We are just 15 minutes to Robin Falls, 20 minutes to Litchfield National Park's southern entry*, 30 minutes to Adelaide River, 45 minutes to Daly River, and about 1 hour to Butterfly Gorge. They have good knowledge of the area and gave us great ideas and places to see to fill in our days. We received clear instructions and prompt responses. Awesome property with fantastic hosts that are very caring! We were 3 families from 3 states, a place to meet up. Camping between the mango trees was shady with toilet facilities as well. Highly recommend this peaceful property. The best stay in Darwin.

We had an excellent time staying here. It’s so lovely camping under the mango trees and with only 4 spots for fellow campers it feels very secluded. The hosts were really nice and made sure our trip to Darwin was as nice as could be. As we were in a rooftop tent there were some early morning bird sounds that could make you stir if sleeping lightly but that’s roof top tent life and no blame to the hosts.

we loved our one night stay amongst the Mango Trees, it meant for a shady morning and afternoon which was fantastic. both Gerhard and Hanlie were welcoming and friendly (as were their 3 little dogs!), even let us have a swim in their pool. soft green grass, water available and clean toilets all close to town, would definitely recommend this stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mambo Top End! Such a beautiful, peaceful spot amongst the mango trees. Lovely green grass, spacious and private sites with power and water. Great location and the perfect base to explore Litchfield NP, Berry Springs with 2 shopping centres just 15 minutes away and the city just a 30 minute drive. Gerhard and Hanlie were the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. This was our favourite stay in the top end. Thank you for having us!

This is a new camping ground still under construction. We recently stayed at this camping spot for a few nights and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The site was well-maintained, spacious, and perfectly positioned—ideal for relaxing or exploring the local area. Nice and quiet. The facilities were spotless—hot showers, clean toilets and a washing machine in the powered area. (new block of ammenities being built in the non-powered sites). Power hookups and water access were easy and reliable. Richard was an amazing host nothing was a problem he was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend this spot—whether you’re staying for a night or a week, you’ll leave feeling refreshed and already planning your return. 🚐✨

We had a great stay in between the Mango trees at Gerhard's farm! Some of the most lush grass we have camped on all over Australia, let alone up here in the NT. Gerhard was super accommodating and communicated very clearly before and throughout our stay. The facilities were clean and we were grateful to have access to water and power at such a reasonable price. We would come back here in a heartbeat!

Parking between the mango trees was delightful, very calm and restful, shaded from the daytime sun and surrounded by greenery. Gerhard is a very friendly and helpful host, the property is safe and secluded and the doggos are super cute!

What a great spot to escape the hustle. We stayed for 3 nights whilst we explored around Katherine. Duane and Bel were great hosts. Nothing was problem and communication was excellent. Really nice camp kitchen and bathroom. Nice grassy site which was welcome too. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for really relaxing stay in Katherine.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gerhard’s. To park our caravan in such a beautiful setting was such a treat. We highly recommend the mango orchard if you want peace away from the city but easy access to visit Darwin and the surrounding area. We would definitely stay again and very much enjoyed our chats with Gerhard and Hanlie, who were always on hand to help us. Thank you for making our stay in Darwin just perfect.

Hillier Hideaway is a beautiful 5-acre property located 2 minutes from Coolalinga Central. With 4 well shaded, spacious sites this is the perfect place to pull up and explore Darwin and its surrounds. Sites are not visible from the road and there are no dirt bike tracks or open land adjoining the property, making this a very secluded and safe site. We can accommodate vans up to 24 feet and have 1 dedicated site for either a camper trailer or tent. All sites have no power or water, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient. There is however a single shower and toilet for use if needed. There is a dump point at the Caravan Park across from Coolalinga Central that can be used for a small fee. All sites are well maintained with plenty of shade, please note during the dry season the grassed area will die off. There will be areas allocated for small campfires and guests must follow fire bans as the restrictions come up. There are wild peacocks that come in at dawn and dusk to get their daily feed, guests are welcome to come watch, Burdekin ducks and possums at night. Pets are allowed however dogs must remain on a lead as there is allot of wildlife that call the property home.

The weather is warm and the site behind our pool is a nice space to be! It is lovely to be in a space where you are the only camper! The tropical gardens provide privacy and abundant bird life. The property is safe and secluded in the rural suburb of Virginia. We are situated in the Darwin Rural area on 5 acres of bush land with tropical gardens and a saltwater swimming pool. There is a variety of bird life, lizards, frogs, and possums. You can feed our friendly butcher birds and King Fishers on the fly from our verandah or pool area. Sit with the fish pond and chat with the turtle who is very shy! We have dogs that live at the property so pets on application only. (we do have a dog cage available if required and can pet sit for a day if required ) We have caravan sites for fully self-contained caravans and unpowered sites in the horse yard. There is a single shower / toilet block available at the top of the driveway. We do have power to some sites, and we would appreciate it if you do not leave air conditioners running while you are off site. If you are travelling in a group, we can accommodate you in a large open area if your group would like to stay together. Each caravan site has its own fireplace for your use. Only 5 minutes from Palmerston or Coolalinga, 25 minutes from Darwin CBD. If you are looking for a local fishing tour, we can hook you up with the locals. We have many fishing and crabbing locations close by on the Elizabeth River, Middle Arm or around Darwin Harbour. Darwin is the gateway to the amazing Kakadu National Park. There are many popular waterfront areas with several beaches and green areas like Bicentennial Park. While sightseeing, make sure you visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, displaying Southeast Asian and Pacific art. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are some good fishing and mountain biking spots. We are located on a 5-acre block on the edge of town. The top 2 acres are laid out in a tropical garden setting, with the other 3 acres set out with native Darwin plants visited by lots of native animals and birds. You'll feel like you're a whole world away yet you will only be 2 minutes from the supermarket, 5 minutes from a large shopping centre, and 15 minutes from Darwin's CBD. We are a small boutique site and only have currently 3 sites on the 5 acres. Your site is private and you will be able to enjoy your stay without interference from others. IMPORTANT: Each site can accommodate 2 adults MAX. If you have 3 or 4 adults, you will need to book both sites. Please note Pool site is open all year round and has permanent cover. Wanting to escape the crowds? You need to go Somewhere Else! This is an exclusive and unique little getaway spot. Plenty of birds can be seen and heard around the shady and peaceful campsite and you may see some wallaroos that sometimes visit or pass by the campsite. Sit back, relax and soak up nature. Take a stroll to the campsite lookout. Enjoy some spectacular night time star gazing. There is no phone reception so you can be fully immersed in your outdoor experience. We are located just over 1.5 hours from Darwin, and about halfway between Katherine and Darwin via an old section of the original Stuart Highway. With only one site available you will have plenty of space and privacy. There is however enough space for 3 - 4 vehicles with vans so if you are travelling with your mates as a group you may book for extra vehicles. Please go to "Extras" in the booking platform to add additional vehicles and select "Add to Trip". We are just 15 minutes to Robin Falls, 20 minutes to Litchfield National Park's southern entry*, 30 minutes to Adelaide River, 45 minutes to Daly River, and about 1 hour to Butterfly Gorge. You will have plenty to see and do throughout your stay with us. Pets on a leash are welcome. Campers must have their own toilet and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. *Access is subject to seasonal conditions so please check the NT Road Report for the current status.
