At present we will only be offering 15 self contained sites, so plenty of space not to be on top of each other. We (the owners) live on-site, about a three minute walk from the Van sites. We have also started a little coffee shop at our main camp so you can find us there most days. We are located just 8km from Wangi Falls, one of Litchfield's largest and most iconic waterfalls. For most of the year it is open for swimming. There are also several other smaller water holes nearby. Most water attractions are accessible by car. If you do have a 4WD be sure to go off-road to visit the amazing, less accessible sites.

Darwin is the gateway to the amazing Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. There are many popular waterfront areas with several beaches including Lee Point and Casuarina. While sightseeing, make sure you visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, The War Museum and Aviation Museum. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are some good fishing and biking trails. We are located on a 5-acre block in the Northern Suburbs. The top 2 acres are laid out in a tropical garden setting, with the other 3 acres set out with native Darwin plants visited by lots of native animals and birds. We have a variety of native birds on the property and are close by to local bird watch areas. You'll feel like you're a whole world away yet you will only be 2 minutes from the supermarket, 5 minutes from a large shopping centre, and 15 minutes from Darwin's CBD. We are a small boutique site and only have 5 powered sites and 8 non powered sites on the 5 acres. Your site is private and you will be able to enjoy your stay without interference from others. The property has a secured gate that requires fob access and a security entrance camera. IMPORTANT: Each site can accommodate 2 adults MAX. If you have 3 or 4 adults, you will need to book two sites. Please note The Bounganvillea site is open all year round and has a concrete base. Other sites are dependant on weather and access.

We absolutely loved it! Its beautiful and private and the hosts were amazing! We had friends who couldn't find a camp and the hosts welcomed them to come share the site with us for the night. They were very helpful and also gave us great ideas of places to visit too. I really loved the rubbish bin set up as well, recycling, food scraps, general and cans & bottles-very organised and conscientious. The fire pit area is fantastic! Peter’s place is a secluded hideaway in Darwin, yet it is within easy reach of the city and beaches. We loved our little space which was surrounded by native trees and landscaped with pathways running to various parts of the property. We could barely see other caravans. There are 2 beautifully clean bathrooms, each having flushing toilets, hot showers washing machines. Peter is a great host.

What a beautiful property. This site is so peaceful and has lots of bird life. The trees are the perfect boundary to give you privacy. There is a fire pit and you have use of the pool if you like. Kristy and her husband are the perfect hosts and are not far away if you need anything We have enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this property 1,000%. Thank you guys so much 🤩🙋‍♀️👍

Site 3 was big and spacious. Amenities were so clean and useful to get some washing done for free! An easy 5 minute drive to the springs and local IGA. We would definitely stay again. Power and water hook up was also a bonus- better than a caravan park :)

This is one of the best examples of a Hipcamp and why we like staying at them. The camp area is well thought out, private with soft grass a fire pit and for some who are not self contained a clean laundry/ shower, toilet. Thank you to our hosts we really enjoyed our visit.

We spent 6 days at Urban retreat and everything was perfect. Pete was super welcoming and we appreciated having a chat with him everyday. You can clearly see how much he cares for the place and the people who are there. Super clean amenities, nice shady spots. If you have any problem, Pete's finds a way to help out. Perfect location, just a short drive to Wangi Falls. There is a toilet block, cold water camp shower, kitchen and water point as well as a lovely little cafe. Main bush camp area slopes slightly downhill and us rookies had trouble levelling. Sites closer to the cafe or off to the tight offer flatter options.
