3 nights at Wedderburn Hideaway

Had 3 nights here with my family. Lots of space! A great little hub to explore the local areas and day trips… the kids loved feeding the bull, horse and pony. They also loved all the cuddles from rusty and max the friendliest little dogs. Rob the host was exceptional, very friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!!

Fantastic night winter camping with a group of teen girls at Dharawal camp site. Fun campfire in the middle of bushland but close to Sydney. Cabin was handy and the ping pong table was a hit. Great walks nearby and David was a friendly host. Will come again.

2 nights at Rosewood Farm's Riverside Glamping

This camping spot is set in the stunning bushland along the Bargo River. Surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of nature and the river, made for a perfect escape. The goats and alpacas added an extra layer of charm to the experience and the short walk down to the river made it feel even more special. The tent is cozy and comfortable, and the toilet and shower are just a short walk away, Having access to hot water and electricity only a stones throw away was an extra bonus! it was the ideal blend of nature and convenience. Our wonderful hosts were attentive and welcoming, and the location was conveniently close to town for any supplies we needed. This glamping experience is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax and connect with nature with the camping experience, and without having to pitch a tent or sleep on the ground! We will definitely be back again! Thank you

Weekend Trip to Rosewood Farm's Riverside Glamping

This was such a great place to spend the weekend. Everything we needed was there and Ben and Melissa were so helpful. It is located conveniently close to town with plenty of things to do nearby. Our kids loved the animals and the fire pit. Our hosts even set up soccer goals for our soccer loving son. We absolutely recommend and will be back to enjoy the river in warmer weather.

Weekend Trip to Joadja Gorge Retreat & Camping

Clean campsite with lots of space. Site is generally on a slope, easily fixed though with RTT, just leveled the car with some rocks lying about. Heaps of firewood about, and a big firepit area. Table and chairs were handy. Great location overall, easy to get into Berrima 25mins. Beautiful Bush walk half way up to the toilet and off to the right. Some good tracks to choose from. We had perfect winter weather, sunny days and cold clear nights. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful campsite! Quiet, peaceful and so picturesque. Easy to access, via sealed roads through farmlands (go slow, watch out for wildlife and livestock). Space to park the car/s and unload, near the site. Big, old tree a majestic feature. Lots of birds, saw wallabies and a wombat! Amenity outbuilding very appreciated, running water, super hot shower and composting toilet makes for a comfy stay. We pitched our own tent, so did not sleep in the “Snug Onion”, but it looked well set up and would be a great option if you did not BYO tent. We hope to go back soon. Thank you Angie!

4 nights at Surfside Cudmirrah Beach

I loved teardrop camping at Surfside Cudmirrah Beach. The facility was very well maintained. The showers had strong water pressure and hot water. The toilets were clean. The powered site P5 was nice and spacious. The beach is stunning and pretty much secluded this time if year. I do wish I could bring my own firepit and not pay $10 a night, that said, not a deal-breaker. Would easily return annually.

What a lovely place to spend a few days. Fantastic to be surrounded by paddocks with horses and to watch riders training in the horse jumping arena. Highly recommended. Great hosts - lovely to chat to them

Beautiful and private camping spot. Beautiful bushland, a little creek for the kids to explore and lots of birdlife. Added convenience of the cabin with running water and bathrooms makes staying at David's land a real pleasure.

Weekend Trip to Otford Park nr Royal National Park

It was a little tight to access the site but Natasha's instructions were clear. Loved the bath and wash/toilet/kitchen facilities. We walked from the site to Bulgo beach. A fairly hard trek with loads of elevation but certainly worth it. The Otford Pantry is really good. Coffee, cakes and pies. Nothing beats an open fire for Winter camping so its safe to say we'll be back.

We had such a beautiful time here! Everything about this place felt so peaceful - the scenic drive in, the glowing ancient tree at sunset, the tent and a cosy little fire-pit. Such a bonus having a nice clean shower and toilet too. Would highly recommend!

We had the perfect first Sydney camping as a family at Wedderburn hideaway. Robert was an awesome host, very welcoming and friendly. He even helped us with our tent when we encontered an issue during our set up. Went out of his way to help and show us kindess. The place itself was amazing, not only you have the wonderful nature around you, there’s also the farm animals that just really add to the great experience and ambiance of the place. Not to mention the lovely dogs running around and just being friendly. I cant recommend the place enough wanting to have a relaxing weekend just outside the city

'Elouera Vale' Farm

Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Otford Park nr Royal National Park

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Maximum length is approx 5m. Please scroll through the photos to see our amenities and camping sites. 3. We limit the number of people staying at any one time, so weekends book up quickly. Dharawal Camp offers all the benefits of glamping. Bebrue Mittagong

Bebrue was created in 1972 when 8¼ acres of natural bushland on the top of Mount Gibraltar (“The Gib”) at Mittagong was donated to the Girl Guides Association for the establishment of a camping and outdoors facility.Today, the site offers a well-protected camping facility set amongst beautiful, natural surrounds that are ideal for many activities. The adjacent north-east side of Mount Gibraltar offers walking trails to explore.The Mount Gibraltar Forest is significant due to its rarity, being identified as an endangered and threatened ecological community. The unique geology of the area supports a collection of flora that, as an assemblage, does not exist outside of The Gib. One very important resident of The Gib that you may meet is the extremely rare Powerful Owl. Bebrue is one of the largest privately own properties on The Gib and Girl Guides have always worked hard to protect the natural bush at Bebrue. Bebrue has also been recognised by the Mount Gibraltar Landcare and Bushcare Group as being an important local wildlife corridor. It is a member of Land for Wildlife.Bebrue is run by volunteers and all funds generated go back into improving the facility for use by the Girl Guides and wider community.
