We are rebuilding after the bushfires. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower. The campsite has access to drinking water. No bins here please take your rubbish with you. Enjoy hanging around the campfire, cooking a meal or toasting marshmallows. We have firewood available. You dont need a 4WD to access the campsite. Vehicle and tent campers welcome. We are located about 30 minutes to the coast and the township of Bermagui. It's a good spot for fishing, prospecting, swimming, cafes and adventures, and you can get all the supplies you need in town. You are welcome to bring dirt bikes and boats to use in the region.

The small township of Wolumla is within walking distance and consists of a great pub and a general store. A short drive further you'll find Candelo, which has its own pub and general store as well as a showground and the country markets held the first Sunday of each month. Merimbula is 10 mins away with great cafes and shops and beautiful beaches. Campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Campers are welcome to have a contained campfire, either BYO firewood or collect from the ground. There is plenty to see and do in the area including exploring the nearby National Parks including Bournda and Beowa. Based near Mount Utopia, Nerrigundah, we fell in love with our little sanctuary in 2020. There are two families Dwayne, Michelle, Robbie and Sharon and their four boys Blake, Taeg, Cooper and Flynn. Campers at heart, we started spending nearly every second weekend in our campers and this lead to many a night discussing what else we could do to make this property a place for others to use. It is a work in progress and there is plenty more to come, currently there is a ablution block that is up near the old house site, we decided it was best to have the camp area closer to the river. We have since added a camp kitchen, large undercover area and two cabins (for our own use at this stage). Enjoy direct access to the river plus more swimming areas on the property. Campfires are permitted. There is some firewood on the property but probably best to bring some of your own. There is Telstra service enabling mobile coverage if needed especially for emergencies. There is also Starlink internet for your convenience. 4WDs are recommended to access this campsite. During the rain we recommend 4WD only. In dry you can access with an all wheel drive. Please message us if you're unsure about weather conditions and your vehicle. Our little piece of Utopia is still a work in progress but is picturesque as well as peaceful. Your furry family member is welcome to join you. We hope you enjoy our little Utopia.

What a great place they have made, alot of thought & hard work has gone into this camping spot. Having showers & toilets was great. We realy loved the area. Great beach, crystal clear water. Very peaceful. You can do as much as you like or as little as you like. We only had 1 visit from Mr Goanna ( that we saw) but he just toddled along & was fine. Mr Red Belly Black Snake just slithered along up in the bush by the side of the track, we just kept still & he slithered away so all good. Obviously when you are camping in the bush you have to expect & respect the bush animals. The only thing is the Drive in, we drove in when it had rained the Mountain was covered in Mist & Fog so it was very Daunting on the dirt/sandy Mountain road, definantly 4 Wheel drive road especially towing a caravan. It is a beautiful spot and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We loved camping here. Perfect for exploring the area and chilling at the same time. It feels more like a rural campsite than a bush camp being a stone’s throw away from the main road. Super friendly and easy going hosts. Respectful owners mindful of our dog’s needs. Enjoyed chatting with both Julie and David. Dunny is exactly that - a dunny! But we didn’t mind. And our pooch loved the place. Stunning views and amazing campfire set up, both for warming up and cooking. So much wood provided, makes the nightly fee very much worth it. Be wary of ticks, we saw several and I got bitten but we were prepared and so wasn’t an issue. A great experience and wonderful hosts!

Second stay and can happily say this time around we faced no issues! Sharon has updated the information to include instructions for resetting the amenities block pump if it plays up (first stay this happened with no solution). Can highly recommend this camp, amenities are unreal and the location just tops it off. Makes for a nice trip from Canberra via Badja Forest Road > Falcon road.

Tuross River Camping Nerrigundah is exceptional! We had such a magical time here: incredible setting with lots to explore at the river with lots of fun fresh water swimming, and lush starry nights. The covered area was fantastic for staying cool when needed, the teenagers loved the pool table and playing darts, we were entertained by regular visits from curious goannas, showers and flushing toilets are simply a bonus. We're definitely coming back! Thanks Sharon :)

Had a great holiday with the family and dogs at Nerrigundah Tuross River Camping. Beautiful camping spot close to the river with excellent facilities. We towed a 16ft off road caravan into the camp ground. The road into the property is quite steep and recommend a vehicle with good clearance that can manage a 4x4 track. Would recommend to any couple or family that love an adventure and a beautiful Australian bush camping spot.

This is a perfect location for a family looking to relax with their dog(s) or for groups with pets. We had hesitation and anxiety about one of our dogs, but the large space and laid back feel allowed us to have a stress free trip, particularly as we had the site to ourselves. The campsite has an impressive view in the morning as the sun stretches over the valley and at sunset. We had a mob of kangaroos bounce through the paddocks one morning, which was a tranquil sight for us all. Julie, Kirk (great name) and David were great hosts, allowing us free access to walk through the massive propriety and offering farm experiences for our boys. Thanks for being such accommodating and welcoming hosts. We home to be back with a larger group.

This site was excellent… communication and directions were friendly and helpful. On arrival the fire pit was prepared and ready for us. The site was peaceful, serene and picturesque. Hosts Julie and David were lovely … and welcoming…. giving advice and tips on the beautiful surrounding area. The location of the property was excellent for us to explore both further south, and surrounding villages. We would not hesitate to recommend for people wanting off grid experience and enjoying the solitude. We would absolutely stay again. Thank you Julie and David for sharing your amazing property .
