It was VERY hot while we were there but next to (and inside) the river it was beautiful! Lunch at Linga Longa pub in Gundy on Australia Day was a highlight to round of a fantastic few days in the Aussie countryside.

An exceptional property which offers grassy campsites and access to both a babbling brook and running river. Camp fires were allowed, the grounds were immaculate and there were 2 toilets and 1 shower for campers to use.
We were fortunate enough to have a private tour of the whole property with Steven, the owner, and were blown away with what this HIPCAMP can offer in addition to the camping.
There's a lodge that can accommodate 30 people, a charming 3 bedroom cottage and a barn which is being converted for functions such as weddings. Steven's property has been in his family for 6 generations and it's absolutely stunning. We camped there during the heat of summer and enjoyed some of their chilled apple cider whilst cooling off in the river.
The property is an orchard and vineyard which sells their own brand of cider and red wine and we are looking forward to enjoying their reds when the weather cools down.
Omadale is only a 30 minute drive to Aussie Ark Conservation Park up near Barrington Tops and we were fortunate enough that it was open for tours where we got to hold 11 month old Tassie Devils and learn about their program to guarantee the Devils survival. We then drove up to explore Barrington Tops which was beautiful.
We highly recommend this property to all as we had such a lovely experience and will definitely return again.

Rachel’s farm is a chilled little camp walking distance to Nundle village. There is a bespoke rustic bathroom with shower, bath, sink and toilet. A communal kitchen has all the essentials. Rachel is a warm and friendly host who responds promptly to messages or queries. Levellers needed for vans (some flat spots). Highly recommend- would stay again.
