We absolutely loved the spot! Susan & Bernard are amazing and their dogs and animals are super friendly! Everything was very clean and we find they have the best camping shower ever! Also the kayaks and life jackets were clean and in good condition!

The hosts were friendly and the sites easy to find on arrival. The hill top sites have awesome views of the stars on a clear night. Amazing 360 degree views of the ocean and mountains. Weekend Trip to Eagles Rest

Michaela is a great host and we had a lovely weekend once again. We love the peaceful surrounds (with some farm and wildlife sounds), the nearby creek, the onsite compost toilet and basic water tap and shower. We loved just relaxing with our 2 dogs with the camp fire and a walk to Byabarra Cafe. Recommend this as a great weekend escape with family or friends, or a great stop in for a night or 2 if making your way on a larger trip.

Ann was really kind and helpful in every stage of the camping, the place is really pretty and clean and dogs are really friendly. The morning was really nice with the birds singing creating a good breakfast environment. Make sure to read the how to get there steps, we lost hour way but Ann help us to get there.

Great farm to stay right on the river with a beautiful view. If you love animals then that’s the place to be. Being able to feed the goats and horses, cuddling the baby puppy’s and there is always a farm dog visiting you at your campsite to say hello. Showers and toilets are very clean and looked after. We came mid week and could enjoy the the whole sore for ourselves. Susan and Bernard are very welcoming people and love a good chat. Definitely can recommend to get some farm eggs 🙌🏼 will stay again if we are in the area.

Definitely one of our favourite hipcamps. Lots of sites and they are spaced out which means you have your privacy. Due to high winds we chose a secluded site down the far end which was a beautiful clearing and perfect for our purpose. Sites are clean and well maintained. Host communication was great. We definitely will be back. Thanks for having us and our dog.

One of the most magaical places to camp with family and friends. We had this amazing hut at our campsite providing shelter, didn’t even need a gazebo. There were so many cute puppies and farm animals. We even got to take a kayak out on the water and do some fishing from the bank. It is so close to port Macquarie and so many things to do all around. We even went strawberry picking down the road. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and lovely to chat with. You can tell they really love what they do and make you feel so welcome in their home. Will definitely be coming back again

It was a rough drive in due to the rain and definitely need a 4x4, but the camp site itself was dry and well maintained. The facilities are basic but functional and the location is close to shops, beach etc We had a very relaxing stay and if you like the more off-grid type of camping then I highly recommend Harrington Ocean Breeze Bush Camp.

Great location with plenty of outdoor exploration options. Lake on one side and the beach on the other. Facilities are well maintained and very useful. Just unfortunate that the tent sites are so close to the road with minimal sound barriers.

A 150-acre working farm with a stunning outlook over the saltwater Maria River (with a rustic boat ramp and waterway running into the Hastings River). Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, and local strawberry and tomato picking. Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. If you value your privacy, then you are at the right place. We have just one exclusive campsite on our 40 acres. You are hidden away and guaranteed privacy from the host accommodations. Private access is by 4WD only. Farm route is accessible by 2WD in dry weather - check with hosts before or on confirmation of booking. Access during unpredictable weather will depend on your vehicle/camper/caravan configuration. Please check with host prior if you are unsure. We are more than willing to make it work for you. On arrival, guests are met by host and directed to the site. Camp site is a secluded, grassy spot beside the creek, among tall gum trees, where you can enjoy peace and serenity. Perfect for families or group of friends. The creek has lovely shallow areas suitable for kids to splash and play in. Occasionally you may see sea eagles soaring overhead, they nest in one of the trees along the creek beside your camp area. Camp area has a composting drop toilet housed in an outback style 'dunny' shed. Fresh rainwater is available. The site has a fire pit and some light fire wood laying around from fallen branches, plus mesh to place over the fire pit if you wish to use the fire for cooking. (There will always be smaller branches and kindling available for fires however, larger and longer burning wood is not guaranteed all season.) Well behaved pets are welcome. You may be visited by some cattle during your stay...they will keep out of your way. There are some large and unique trees to admire and keep your eye out for wildflowers that grow along the creek. There is an active eagle's nest in one of the trees. Guests are welcome to explore down the creek where you'll find some great swimming holes. For a relaxing stroll, guests are welcome to walk the farm fence lines which are regularly maintained with a mower. There are so many beautiful local attractions to visit. Our local village is less than 2kms from the property where you will find Byabarra Cafe for excellent refreshments. Then a gorgeous drive up onto the plateau and you will find Comboyne village with a historic 1905 goal, Larrikins Lockup. And if you are feeling more adventurous, Rawson Falls and Ellenborough Falls make lovely day trips. And Comboyne Rock provides some stunning views. Upon arrival your host will provide you with an information pack on local attractions and general Hip Camp house rules and guidelines for your safety and enjoyment.
