This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to grow out too. About 35 years ago about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of this top end of the valley that you see today. Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over. You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though - they have spikes that could puncture Caterpillar tracks!) MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan. Today the property is registered with Land For Wildlife and hosts a very wide mix of native vegetation communities. ACTIVITIES Bird watch. Climb. Abseil. Photograph wildflowers. Paint. Swim. In the next valley there's even gold to be found. Explore trails by mountain bike. Whale watch. Surf. Learn SCUBA. Go beach-combing. Catch a mudcrab. Go whitewater river rafting. Ask your host about where to find all the local waterfalls, the best walking, how to find gold, the gnarliest off-road tracks, Anything is possible here in this magnificent part of the world, except perhaps snow and ice.

I loved my time at Waterfalls and more. I was greeted upon my arrival with a Reddy smile & a personal delivery of firewood. Rod took the time to show me around the site & even provided a hand-drawn map and detailed explanation of how to get to the waterfall. Rod is a true custodian of the land; he clearly cares very deeply about it & that is evident in the way that he has so courageously taken upon himself the task of regenerating it & sharing the fruits of his labours with others. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I camped at Waratah 1 & I found that this suited my needs as someone who prefers privacy and seclusion.

Place is great good location close to Coffs Harbour Can just about see ocean however great view non the less Can do it with 2wd car however would recommend at least a medium sized suv and confident driving ability as it is steep and uneven however I did it in my asx so ie definitely doable owner offered to recover us if we got stuck

Peaceful, well maintained camp site less than 1km from Red Rock. A large area that means that neighbours are not on top of you (unlike the local caravan park). Dump point and rubbish bins provided. Well priced. While we were here the combination of the campsite being better than we expected, the lovely weather and great beach / lagoon options were so good that we extended our stay by an extra 2 nights. Thank you.

This place is something else.. We booked campsite 5 for two nights and it did not disappoint. The sites are perfectly spaced apart and the fact you have your own part of the river to enjoy. Great they have the shower for quick wash offs. Partner caught some fish, wish we brought crab pots, though will next time. Would recommend 100%. We plan to come back with our sons in the near future to show them this amazing place.

Lots of space, so many bird sounds, beautiful property. Loved being able to disconnect with conserve for a few days. Waterfall walk was a bit challenging in some spots, but had a great afternoon in the sun at champagne pools. Rod was a gracious host and we had some of the best fires with his firewood!

Here’s a natural, polished version in English: Our stay was absolutely wonderful. It was peaceful and quiet—exactly what we needed. The ping pong table was a hit from the very first moment! The place was spotless and very spacious. We even got to see snakes, which was a unique experience, and the hosts took great care of us throughout our stay. We truly couldn’t have spent Easter in a better way. Highly recommended!
