The bird life is plentiful with many rare and amazing species either visiting on their annual journeys or calling it home such as the yellow tailed black cockatoo. Several species of wallabies graze around the cabin in the early mornings or late afternoons. Elands is a quiet village with an eclectic community, a Post Office and General store. Our closest town being Wingham is approximately 40 minutes drive the last 16 klms up the mountain is unsealed. It is suitable for all types of vehicles but can be rough at times. The cabin has mobile phone service for those with Telstra or Aldi SIM cards. We have 3 generations of family living on our property and we are only interested in hosting a single female or couple. We have for many years hosted helpers on our farm but now are offering it as a short term stay (2 nights minimum) We are completely off grid and try to live in a simple manner with solar, tank water and an outdoor composting toilet. We are only just starting to rent our cabin out and so far have no reviews but have many 5 star reviews on other platforms such as HelpX Unfortunately we don’t allow pets as we have our own dogs on the property who have grown up with the surrounding wildlife and pose no threat. Most of the year the river is lovely and clear and ideal for swimming, fishing, photography or just enjoying. Wedgetail Eagles, Black Cockatoos, Black Shouldered Kites, Kookaburras and Butcher Birds life in the area. As do kangaroos, possums and echidnas. Our night skies are very clear, no pollution here! All of our campsites are perfect for having a campfire (fire season dependent). Our sites are ideal for self-contained vans, camper trailers, medium motor homes, tents or swags, it’s up to you. You must have your own toilet facilities and take away all waste. This is very important and an absolutely essential requirement for all visitors. As is the case with general rubbish. You should bring sufficient water with you as we do not provide drinking or potable water. You will have very good mobile and internet coverage across the property. When you make a reservation at the property we will always endeavour to put you in your preferred location as best we can. Our Property offers a peaceful, quiet and calm place to relax and unwind. There are fenced in cows on property. Please leave gates how you find them. Some fences are electric. Children are welcome but must be fully supervised at all times. Pets welcome but must be on a lead at all times, photo of pets must be supplied at time of booking. Pets to be kept inside at night. (Please pick up after them) We are a super friendly family of 3 with pets of our own. We are also pretty knowledgeable of the areas and can recommend things to do and places to visit. The cabin has mobile phone service for those with Telstra or Aldi SIM cards. We have 3 generations of family living on our property and we are only interested in hosting a single female or couple. We have for many years hosted helpers on our farm but now are offering it as a short term stay (2 nights minimum) We are completely off grid and try to live in a simple manner with solar, tank water and an outdoor composting toilet. Children are welcome but must be fully supervised at all times. Pets welcome but must be on a lead at all times, photo of pets must be supplied at time of booking. Pets to be kept inside at night. (Please pick up after them) We are a super friendly family of 3 with pets of our own. We are also pretty knowledgeable of the areas and can recommend things to do and places to visit. At certain times there will be fruit grown on the property available for purchase. Please note that there are no food/ drink shops close by (30min away) please bring all supplies with you. You must have your own toilet. Property can flood, you will need to move to higher ground on property if flood warnings have been announced. Bush walking allowed upon request. We have two full dams that host our 3 ducks, free range chooks (collect your own fresh eggs daily-not available in winter), 4 guinea fowl a couple of farm cats & awesome birds-Rainbow Lorikeets, King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas and Kookaburras. We also have a couple of swamp hen families. A number of fruit bats from Wingham brush reach us most nights at dusk. We have also seen an owl near the chicken coop & if you're lucky you may spot the kangaroos in the paddock. We welcome tents, campervans, trailer tents and caravans but you need to provide your own drinking water- outside solar shower is available that can be filled up at the rainwater tank by the camp kitchen. NEED TO HAVE YOUR OWN TOILET FACILITIES WITH HOLDING TANK The Paddock suits all vehicles- Max 3 parties at once. We also have more private spot Woodland Area which suits just one party but vehicle access is a couple of mins walk and further to the camp kitchen. Fires allowed but only in contained firepits and off ground. We currently have 3 firepit presently to use at your own site (must be kept off ground on bricks provided). Fires not allowed during total fire bans Take your camping chairs to the edge of 1 of 2 dams and watch our pet ducks. Pets on leashes are welcome. Plenty to see and do around here.

Our main attraction is our Scottish Highland Cattle and our emus, but of course, there’s a lot more than these guys. We have a large paddock adjacent to Lansdowne River, where we welcome self-contained campers to set up and enjoy the peace, and easy river access. The paddock does not have any trees or toilet amenities at this stage. So it's currently BYO toilets/showers please, and all waste it to be taken when you depart. We are 20 minutes out of Taree and 50 minutes to Port Macquarie. There are local beaches at Manning Point and Crowdy Head. Great for fishing. There is also 15min to Big Nelly where you can drive to the top of the mountain and many other stops to stop and look over the region, so yiu can take a picnic basket and flask, if yiu feeling more adventures yiu cam stop at Watui Falls amd then head up and over the mountains to ... WARNING this trek of mountain road is only accessible by 4WD. There's also Ellebrough falls. If you’re looking for extra fun we offer Archery lessons and are affiliated with Archery NSW. Camping by the river was wonderful and being able to launch our kayaks from beside our van made things very easy. Nice place to swim when it gets hot also helped although access a bit of a challenge. One and only downside was the traffic noise in the night seems to travel straight up the river. Enjoyed our stay and we will be back

Isaac's place was easy to find. There was a phone number on the sign on the gate to get instructions for opening the gate. We had the place to ourselves and found a lovely peaceful spot by the creek. The cows came and went, as you would expect on a farm, and weren't a bother. Isaac has supplied a bin for rubbish and left some firewood. It was lovely watching the sun go down to the sound of birdsong.
