Camping within walking distance to Barrington River Located on the renowned Barrington flats, boasting an impressive 1km stretch of river frontage, Evermore Farm offers travellers a serene retreat. A leisurely pathway meanders through the bushes, perfect for birdwatching and peaceful moments of platypus spotting. As a working farm, there's a delightful opportunity to interact with our Guernsey milking cow, Verla, and our friendly Angus herd that is always eager for a nibble of hay. This historic farm has been tended by our family since 1910, with the current generation marking the sixth to nurture the legacy of the 'Everett Guernsey Stud' Farm. Ample space is available for parking larger vans and self-contained camping units. For those who prefer a more traditional camping experience, designated areas cater to tents and smaller setups.Evermore Farm is a peaceful and happy place, suitable for a break to enjoy the natural beauty of a riverside landscape. There are lovely shady areas down on the river's edge for picnics, and if you spend enough quiet time, you'll often see platypus and birdlife. Please be aware that no tracks have board walks or support rails to enter waters edge. Our farm camping sites offer a range of different vistas and levels of seclusion. With more open sites suitable for camper vans with easy drive through access and smaller tent sites. Most of our camping sites could be described as dispersed, meaning you can see other campers. All grassy sites are well maintained, mowing regularly so to make this camping a delight. The steep banks are left natural as we are planting new natives along the river banks and the debris and trees collected from previous floods are important habitats for wildlife and pollinators. The main access point to the river is a shared space, from here you can launch kayaks or swim in our deep waterhole. Campers with children are advised that the river gradually deepens to a depth of some 5-8 meters. Evermore is a working farm, with a much loved herd of cattle which we move to fresh pasture most days. It is therefore important to follow any instructions received about shutting gates to keep our cattle, and Hipcampers safe. All campers must have their own camp toilet, we do not offer toilet facilities here. All rubbish is to be taken with you on departure. No motorbikes or motor boats. Please drive around the farm at a walking pace. Hipcamp guests are reminded this is not a wild party area so loud music is not suitable....but more an area to relax and enjoy the natural farm life with many a story to be told...

Fabulous farm stay

I loved being at this farm. A private spot for campers by the river with gorgeous vistas all around. Watching the dairy cows move about and the clear star filled skies were both highlights. Great host who couldn’t be anymore helpful.

Farm flats with farm views
Adele keeps a cosy, family friendly Hipcamp. She was a very generous and welcoming host. The old Dairy made for a fantastic sitting and sharing space for our extended family. Its in a nice quiet area with easy access to a pretty stretch of the river. Neighbours are also friendly.

Right near a beautiful clear river. The big hole is certainly a feature. Grassey sites and quite surrounds ... The only sounds were bird's chirping and the flow of the river.

Amazing place for camping! We booked the Dairy Hall space which had several grassy flat sites for tents. The Dairy Hall is a great undercover space, with the bonus of a camp kitchen. We originally chose the Dairy Hall as the weather looked dicey, but we were lucky to get 3 days of sunshine. The river area is fantastic, our tweens loved the rope swings and fishing in the river. The river is amazingly clear. The host Adele is just lovely, giving us details on the farm and the cows. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Site 7: RIVERSIDE Echo Rock
I had a wonderful time at Adele’s carefully considered and looked after little spot. I had a great time simply chilling beside the campfire and going up and down the river in one of the kayaks provided. Saw the local Platypus, which I think was the first time I’ve ever seen one. Pretty special. Pitched my small tent overlooking the river. Not that many places you can do that. Adele was lovely to deal. I will definitely go back again.

Site 8: Happy Ducks
This was an amazing place to spend Easter weekend. The large site, grassed area, beautiful swimming hole, kayaks available for free use, fire pit with timber on arrival, fantastic weather and charming bubbly welcome by Adele (host). We are looking forward to spending more time at “Evermore” in the future.

Adele’s property is fantastic - everything you could want in a powered site - especially great for little one or bigger groups wanting a more set up kitchen and dining arrangement, but still close to the river. A great experience.

RIVERSIDE Near the old Apple Tree
Nice and private site. Couldn’t get down to the river where we were but only a short walk to a more suitable spot. Views of the river from some angles. Cows were cute greeting us in the morning.

Evermore Farm on Barrington River
We stayed 3 nights over Easter. The Famous Big Hole was a beautiful spot to camp. You can sit at your camp and have a drink or meal while watching the beautiful river. Swimming was great, and then go back to our camp fire. Listening to the water flowing from bed was great as well. Adele is a wonderful host and makes sure all is well and everyone is happy. She is honest, hard working and such a lovely person to chat to. Thanks so much Adele we are looking forward to a return trip in the future 🙏 Regards Craig, Amy and Grace.

An amazing place of joy…

Amazing! Adele’s place is 5 star. A joy. With a river to swim in. Kayaks and a rope swing. A magical dairy shed filled with fairy lights and a long wooden table that seats fifty people. Locals pop in for a cuppa in the morning. Adele and her wonderful collie Mate are very special, they create an aura of happiness in this unbelievably beautiful part of the world. The setting is sublime. Adele is clearly a magnet for the local community with her warmth and charm running art groups out of the dairy shed and hosting events from her delightful outdoor kitchen. Sit by the river and have a barbecue and then jump into it for a swim. Stay here forever. You will want to….

Evermore Farm on Barrington River
Adele is a beautiful host whose hipcamp spots, Specifically the ‘Famous Big Hole’ and ‘Dairy Farm’, have everything to offer for both the solo traveller and a large group. The famous big hole offeres a quiet, tranquil space to relax for the solo traveller or couple but also offers numerous activities such as fishing, kayaking and swimming along the river for the family and the kids. The Diary is a one of a kind, offering campers all the comforts of home in a large generous space for both large groups and single travellers alike. A rustic, simplified camp situated right in the beautiful Barrigton River. I would encourage all travellers to stay and will certainly be back again.

We enjoyed our time in this unique site. the area is well kept apart of the signs of flood debris and is suitable for large vans. access to the river is difficult due to the height of the river back manageable. Our site [5] was not as exclusive as we would have like mainly due to coming and going from others. All said top camp site and worth the stay.

Site 3: Veggie Garden
Absolutely great place to camp. The owner is an absolutely wonderful help. There is also the old dairy that is well maintained for those wet days or you just need a quick zap on your battery. The camp is in its initial stages of life and host is so keen to get advice and act on it. So refreshing!!! There is great 5G, but I didn't tell our son lol!! If you need to work you can with ease. It is also a great base camp for your travels further up. The river is absolutely gorgeous!! The host provides excellently maintained canoes and water crafts. Thoroughly recommended. Cheers.

Evermore Farm on Barrington River
We had two beautiful nights at the Big Hole, great campsite with a fire pit, perfect for much needed R&R. Grassy site near the water , easy to launch a kayak or have a swim, spotted a platypus while SUPing up the river, lots of bird life, nice to stroll along the river. We met Adele on arrival, great host, thank you. Will be back soon!! Greg and Pam

Site 9: Platypus Paradise
Such a great spot to stay. The river runs right in front of the camp and it was a great spot for a swim. Will definitely be returning.
