Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney.
Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed.
In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure.
Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley.
This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous.
Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day.
There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes.
I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups.
Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to.
I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost.
The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks.

Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.

On the hills of Peronne we graze Merino sheep amongst native bushland, open grasslands and along flowing creeks.
We have some spectacular waterfalls and stunning views across the central tablelands. Areas set aside for bush regeneration provide habitat for native animals including wallabies, wombats, gang-gang cockatoos and wedge tail eagles. You might be lucky enough to spot a koala too.
We have walking/mountain bike trails, creeks for paddling in and beautiful scenery.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Wallaby Flat and highly recommend it. If you want a spot that is truly secluded, private, and beautiful, this is it. The property is bordered by Kanangra-Boyd National Park, making it feel incredibly peaceful.
The river is very nice and was warm enough to soak in - the perfect way to cool down in the afternoon heat. While the river wasn’t as deep as usual during our stay, there were still spots deep enough to swim in. Hiking trails are available nearby, though we spent most of our time relaxing. There is also plenty of shade to help avoid the direct sun.
We spotted trout swimming by, and while we didn’t see the reclusive platypus or wombat, we saw many curious wallabies, birds, and rabbits.
For future campers: be sure to download offline maps before heading out, as there is no reception nearby. Danny’s directions and maps are excellent, but try to arrive during daylight to make finding the site easier.
Danny was an exceptional host - extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the land and local wildlife. We had an outstanding time and are already looking forward to visiting again.

Danny’s place was absolutely incredible — the perfect combination of peaceful nature, fresh mountain air, and genuine hospitality. From the moment we arrived, Danny made us feel welcome and well-looked-after. The land is stunning, quiet, and full of beautiful spots to explore and relax.
We came for a short getaway and left completely recharged. The scenery, the clean fresh water, the tranquillity of the bush, and the feeling of privacy made our stay unforgettable. Private and secluded camp spot all to ourselves. River front only a few meters down an embankment. Crystal clear flowing water, basic drop toilet and shower. Camp area fit our group of 12 ppl easily. A beautiful spot to camp and unwind. Host Danny was very helpful and responded to messages quickly, provided detailed map instructions which were easy to follow.

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was beautiful and private which we loved as it was just us girls for this trip. Michael came and said hello and made sure we had everything we needed. We went for a walk to the waterfall unfortunately it was dry with no water at this time of year (October) but was still a beautiful trek. On the last day we had a flat tire, Michael and his son was so helpful with helping us fix it so we were safe for the long drive home. Plenty of fire wood was available which was also a bonus. The creek is lovely, had a little swim and the view from a little up the hill was even more stunning!! Thank you for having us we can’t wait to come again.

We had such a great stay at Cheshire Creek, right by the crystal clear creek!
Michael was an incredibly friendly and welcoming host who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.
He had a huge amount of firewood cut up and ready for us, along with safety equipment in place, such a thoughtful and organised touch.
The property itself was beautiful, peaceful, spacious, and well maintained, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.
We couldn’t have asked for a better host or spot to unwind.
We will definitely be back again!

We loved camping at Wallaby Flat! The location is beautiful. Lovely shallow creek adjacent to the campground, with some deeper swimming spots nearby. Great for a large group - we had around 20 people - and there was still lots of space for cricket & frisbee :) Appreciated the toilet and sink facilities too - just made it all very easy. We loved our long weekend getaway, and will be back! Thanks Danny!

My daughter and I loved camping in Michael’s farm in Peronne. The spot was absolutely beautiful and we didn’t see or hear another person (other than a nice courtesy drop-in from Michael to welcome us).
When we arrived the fire pit was already prepared as well as a healthy pile of firewood to get us through the night.
I’d go back for a visit anytime 😊
