A beautiful piece of remnant forest on the bank of the Nerang River, with a swimming hole that is second to none. The tree tent is situated in a small forest clearing overlooking the river rapids. The site has a compact outdoor kitchen complete with refrigerator, an outdoor hot shower, a firepit and a separate composting toilet. Sails are rigged above the tent to provide extra shade and shelter. It's private and shady but only a few minutes from the house. The valley is a gem, only 200 odd people live here. If you love the outdoors - either just to chill or to actively recreate - this place is for you. As an outdoor educator, I have worked and played in the valley and surrounds for more than 25 years and I'm still discovering new things to see and do! We had such a great stay at Petaurus Garden! Chris was an awesome host — he upgraded us to a larger tent since it was just me and my husband, and made sure we had everything we needed, including extra torches, lighters, and other essentials. He even offered us a bike ride, which was such a nice touch. We also went kayaking and explored the walking trails around the property- such a peaceful and beautiful spot. There was hot water available for tea and coffee too, which made the mornings even better. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing nature getaway! We will definitely be back 💛

I had the most magical stay in the Treehouse! Such a beautiful area and a stunning backdrop - I loved waking up to the sounds of birds and enjoying a cuppa on the deck. There is a dam on the property for a refreshing dip and the best toilet/shower set-up. Honestly, couldn't recommend this stay enough and although there is access to shops close by, I would recommend bringing some food with you and letting yourself enjoy nature for a few days 🌿

Our stay at the treehouse was everything we needed for a peaceful reset. Nestled on a beautiful property near Springbrook National Park, we were surrounded by the sounds and sights of nature, pure tranquillity. The space felt private, serene, and perfect for a night by the fire, a homemade dinner, and a cosy board game inside. We had everything we needed. The fairy lights twinkling around the treehouse and the beautiful flower garden made it feel truly magical, like stepping into a little hidden haven. The owners were so lovely and welcoming, clearly pouring so much passion and care into both the treehouse and their property. They made us feel right at home and shared some great local recommendations, including a refreshing swim at Hart Bridge and a coffee and plant shop at a gorgeous nursery café down the road. Plus, we loved saying hello to all the friendly cows on the way there! It was the perfect nature escape, peaceful, thoughtful, and full of charm. We couldn’t recommend it more.

Chris has done a most wonderful job of setting up his camp sites. Our Glamping Tent was very well appointed, extremely comfortable and in a beautiful setting. The toilets and showers were extremely clean and a pleasure to use. Chris went to a lot of trouble throughout our stay to provide the most excellent service. He provided firewood, extra blankets, tea and coffee, local area advice and a level of service we were not expecting in a camp site. The location is also brilliant. Only 30 minutes from Evans Head meant we had the best of both worlds. Privacy and seclusion in a bush setting along with easy access to towns and beaches. We were blown away with the effort Chris has gone to in order to provide the best possible experience for his guests. Congratulations!! P.S. The on-site Paddymelons were an unexpected treat.

My friends and I stayed in the glamping tents. It was very spacious and comfy. The Pataurus Native Gardens was the most relaxing and peaceful place. We stayed for two nights at the Crystal Creek Rainforest Treehouse and absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we’d stepped into our own little hideaway in the rainforest. The setting is so peaceful — surrounded by trees, bird calls and nothing but nature. The treehouse is cosy, well set up, and had everything we needed. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the Aneta was very friendly and super helpful. A really relaxing and unique getaway — we will definitely come back!

This is an amazing place! We stayed for two nights, four adults and three kids and hired out the large glamping tent plus one tent site directly opposite. Chris is amazing! Such a warm and professional welcome and made us feel right at home. The glamping tent was very luxurious and all the amenities were wonderful. The shower was heavenly! Beautiful grounds, great walks for most abilities. We loved the fire pit, and loved toasting marshmallows and star gazing at night. Great wildlife on the property and the flora was great to walk through. We took a trip to Byron Bay during one of the days, very doable, the kids loved it. Highly recommend Chris and Petaurus Gardens...thank you so much for making our stay so memorable.

We loved Stuart's place for a peaceful getaway from the hustle & bustle. Is positioned perfectly for nearby walking trails & visits to quaint local villages. The Forest Gypsy tiny home is nestled amongst a beautiful canopy, is very private and has the basic essentials to get you through the day. A fire pit, sauna and nature pool were on offer but we didn't take advantage of these. Stuart was very kind to let us pick fruit from his orchard - the scent of the orange blossoms was divine. Sushi the dog happily greeted us each day, with plenty of cuddles & kisses. Taking in the clean country air, gazing at the night time sky and mingling with the resident fireflies was an absolute pleasure. Stuart was very personable & ensured our stay was most enjoyable :-). We will definitely be back.
