Weekend Trip to Eagles Nest Hideaway, Pecan Fields

Absolutely the best weekend we have had in a long time. Full family group camping and having fun. Kids were fishing, marshmallows on the campfire, watching passing horse riders and much more. Adults loved the warm winter sun, campfire chats, watching cowboy and dogs mustering cattle, collecting pecans and roasting on the campfire, and peaceful beautiful surrounds. Our host Robyn was very gracious and offered plenty of support and advice.

Pottsville Farm was absolutely beautiful with plenty of room for big groups. Host was really friendly and accommodating. We were worried about being close to the highway but the road noise wasn't bad at all. Highly recommended and will definitely be back

Great park - you can hire a small fire pit, it’s a short walk to a long stretch of beach looking towards the infamous Byron lighthouse. We loved that it was dog friendly and the dogs were all well behaved. There would have been about 20-30 dogs and yet you hardly heard a bark and they weren’t noisy. Great facilities - camp kitchens, pool, areas for kids, amenities blocks. We had an unpowered site towards the back end of the park and it was perfect. We could hear the ocean and we were right near the beach access gate. Our stay was in May so not peak which meant plenty of space between campers.

Nice place to stay, fair way away from the hussle of Byron. Lovely 10 minute walk to one of the beaches. Clean facilities and great camp kitchen.

We are a 9 minute drive to Pottsville Beach and offer a flat patch of grassed land next to a dam with a maximum of 3 separate occupants (so it will never be crazy and over crowded like a caravan park). The perfect spot to have a camp fire, look at the trees and explore the wonders Northern Rivers has to offer. These include beautiful beach's, walks, hikes, the Tweed Valley Rail Trail and Uki Mountain bike park all close by. Only 7 minute drive into Pottsville town which has an IGA, great cafes and restaurants, bottle shop and a few specially stores. 30min drive to either the Gold Coast or Byron Bay. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all rubbish and waste with them on departure.
