Beautiful property with gorgeous animals, highlight was cuddling the puppies! Susan was lovely, friendly and accomodating. Woke up to such a beautiful sunrise and left feeling rejuvenated. Only wish we stayed longer!

Great farm to stay right on the river with a beautiful view. If you love animals then that’s the place to be. Being able to feed the goats and horses, cuddling the baby puppy’s and there is always a farm dog visiting you at your campsite to say hello. Showers and toilets are very clean and looked after. We came mid week and could enjoy the the whole sore for ourselves. Susan and Bernard are very welcoming people and love a good chat. Definitely can recommend to get some farm eggs 🙌🏼 will stay again if we are in the area.

We had a great stay, it’s a beautiful location, Bernard and Susan were very accomodating and welcoming and the kids adored the animals! Would definitely recommend!

One of the most magaical places to camp with family and friends. We had this amazing hut at our campsite providing shelter, didn’t even need a gazebo. There were so many cute puppies and farm animals. We even got to take a kayak out on the water and do some fishing from the bank. It is so close to port Macquarie and so many things to do all around. We even went strawberry picking down the road. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and lovely to chat with. You can tell they really love what they do and make you feel so welcome in their home. Will definitely be coming back again

Beautiful setting immaculate rustic amenities we loved the view and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly dogs and talking to the pigs. Also Susan was warm and welcoming and her farm hand was also a lovely guy! One of the prettiest camps we’ve stayed at with a friendly relaxed vibe.

Absolutely beautiful place, the kids had an absolute ball on the canoes and with all the animals. Will definitely be back again we camp a lot and this is our family’s favourite place so far. Susan and Bernard are such lovely hosts. I felt so safe with our young kids here. Usually I worry about them on campsites but it was so nice to relax and have them just enjoy this special place.

Excellent campsite right on the river, and great amenities (hot showers and clean toilets, kayaks, petting/baby animal farm + larger farm animals), very helpful and friendly hosts. Massive campsites suitable for 2-3 groups. Two gorgeous and very friendly farm border collies. Great fishing from the riverbank or in the kayaks. Short drive into Port Macquarie if needed. We'll definitely be back.

Nice views on the river and surrounding farm, our camping spot had plenty of space. The amenities were functional and cleaned daily. Susan and Bernard are discreet, friendly and arranging.

Susan was a fantastic host, we had a great time petting the baby animals and hearing all about the working farm. The campsites were big and offered a stunning view of the river!! We will definitely be back

Such a fun spot to camp. We had so much fun with animals (baby rabbits, guinea pigs, horsesz goats...). The host (Susan) was so nice to us. There was so much to do and lots of space to camp. 110% recommended it.

Well kept, wide open space on the Maria River. Saw a beautiful sunset in the west and sunrise over the river (you don't get to see both in many places) The camp kitchen and amenities are rustic but efficient. The animals are gorgeous. The farm dogs are cute and friendly. Susan and Bernard were lovely hosts. We didn't get to make use of the kayaks on offer but saw other people out on the river kayaking. We only stayed one night which was Monday so we had the whole place to ourselves. Our dog loved it and now identifies as a farm dog :) Susan and Bernard also let us have some friends call in for a cuppa who were on their way North. They loved it too. If you like animals and nature, The Hatch is a great place to stay

Had a great weekend at Bernard's and Susan's. Weather wasn't that great for a couple of the days but didn't stop us enjoying the view. Dogs were friendly . Lovely clean amenities. Would definitely go back.

We had a dream weekend at The Hatch! Fresh eggs on arrival and greeted by Host Susan who walked us to our site. Sit was MASSIVE and level, perfect for our 18ft caravan with water views! The "petting" farm is a real treat :) with chickens, ducks and rabbits all there to enjoy not to mention the friendly collies that came and said hello :) Toilets are on site if needed and at each site has a little shelter area (very nice if tenting). Rained a lot during our stay but the grounds held well, no mud! Just nice grass. We will be back to this amazing place and its now on our regular list :) Thanks Susan and Bernard! Wonderfull weekend!
