Weekend Trip to Nos Astra

We loved our stay at Nos Astra! John was wonderful to communicate with and was very accomodating to our trip plans. He gave us plenty of information for our stay and the place was beautiful! The views were gorgeous and was awesome to walk around and explore the property. It’s hard for us to find pet friendly places, so this one was superb and our staffy had a blast. And to have it all to ourselves! Will definitely be staying again.

5 nights at Willow's Retreat

Willow's Wilderness was a great spot. Lots of birds, rock wallabies (or small kangaroos), there is a resident wombat who we heard at night and heard koalas. The spot we camped overlooked a valley and got some nice sun each day and was extremely peaceful. If staying when hot bringing some shade would be a good plan. There was also plenty of firewood and a long drop a short walk from camp. There are also plenty of trails about if you like bushwalking. The hosts, Phil & Lyndel, were great in making us feel welcome and provided clear directions and information. The extras on offer are also worth checking out. The mid-stay shower was gold! Couldn't ask for better hosts.

3 nights at Willow's Retreat

I absolutely love the Glossy Heights Location and both Phil and Lyndel were amazing about showing us where the set up is. Absolutely stunning grounds and beautiful night sky. There were some other people with us and they were super, super quiet and I felt like we had everything all to ourselves. Would 10/10 recommend this beautiful place to visit!

Weekend Trip to Halifax Hill

What a top spot! We absolutely loved 'The Shack'! It is private, rustic, quirky. It has history and so much character, I mean where else will you see a sandstone rock wall as the internal wall? It is as if you are going into someones private holiday house. You could cook for 50 people in the huge kitchen which is stocked with all the basics (oil, salt, pepper, coffee tea etc) There are pots and pans galore, food processors, mixers and all sorts of stuff. Also provided: board games, candles, tea lights, incense, books, records - there is so much stuff. There are gaps in the walls so the occasional lizard pops in for a visit, but this all adds to the charm! With only a 5 minute drive to the historical St Albans Pub, you have your bases covered. We will be back, so Yes I would absolutely recommend!

Lovely views, friendly owners. You are on a slight hill so if was tricky to find level ground for our caravan. Otherwise such a beautiful spot.

Weekend Trip to Two Shores Holiday Village

This was the best camping holiday park we've ever been to. It had beautiful, serene views (we booked a waterside campsite), plenty of shade and sunny areas too, clean bathrooms and a kitchen and laundry with everything we needed. Checking in and out was quick and easy.

5 nights at NSW Ski Gardens

If your thinking about visiting Wisemans ferry there isn't a better place to stay!!! The most picturesque views!! I would highly recommend getting a powered site. You get you own undercover area, bbq and gorgeous inlet into the river. The amenities are cleaned and the entire grounds are 10/10. Close by to the shops and a gorgeous pub- cold beer and great food. It is also a great fishing and swimming spot! We were just passing through here but our dog needed to undergo emergency surgery and were instructed that he can't be moved for the 4 weeks. The owners moved heaven and earth and allowed us to stay here for our boy could heal. It's truly feels like you are on a tropical island and hands down one of our best stays in Australia 10/10

Weekend Trip to Tejn Loft Private Group Campsite

Our group had a fantastic time at Tejn loft. Having an undercover dining area, indoor kitchen and hot shower was a real treat particularly on a rainy weekend. The grounds are well maintained and the scenery is stunning. The kitchen is well equipped and the all the little touches made our trip so easy (tea towel provided for use 🙌🏻). We will definitely be back to enjoy this stunning spot again.

On the Central Coast just 1.5 hours from Sydney is this relaxing peaceful escape suitable for a few families or a group of friends. This place has a truly fascinating history. The huge backyard previously hosted an annual gypsy festival to celebrate International Romani day. The backyard is really the highlight - from the moment you step into it you will feel like you have escaped into your own little paradise. The house itself has 3 bedrooms, with 1 bathroom inside and 1 bathroom outside. Inside the house, which can sleep up to 8 people. In addition to the main house, there are 3 hand-made gypsy style caravans on site. The largest (brown) caravan at the front of the property has a double bed and 2 small single beds - so can sleep up to 4 people. It is suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids. The smallest caravan (green) has 2 single beds in it - please note that these beds are narrower than a standard single bed - see photos. Bed linen and Towels are provided only for the main house occupants - you must bring your own linen and towels when staying in the caravans. The medium caravan (blue) is in the backyard and can be used as a cubby house/chill out area or workspace. The house itself has recently been renovated, with care taken to retain its gorgeous vintage fixtures and furniture. There are coloured stained glass windows and lighting pendants throughout the house. This is our family holiday house so we have set it up with everything that you and your family will need to feel comfortable and at home. It’s an absolute paradise for kids with the trampoline, jetty, gypsy cubby house, kayaks and fishing opportunities. We are 1.2 km from the township along the River Road. There are powered and unpowered sites for caravans and campers set in a rustic location. Hartley Vale Garlic Farm

The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic, that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Sitting on 25 acres this spot is great to just unwind and relax, looking out over the trees down the valley is as beautiful as it gets. A lot of bird activity will accompany your mornings and afternoons. Enjoy sitting around the fire pit at nighttime roasting marshmallows. Come nighttime during September - February it is the mating season for koalas, the valley being a known corridor for koloas you quite often hear them searching for their partner. being such an accessible site and not off the beaten track, some days you may notice more vehicles driving past. Just a short drive to the local country pub, even a few local wineries. Take the old convict road all the way down to the country pub at st Albans, which is very peaceful for adults but theres also a creek for the kids to play in and newly upgraded playground. Off the convict road there are a few 4wd tracks. Just back from the property you have direct access into the Watagan Mountains, which offers great 4wd tracks, lots of hiking trails, motorbike tracks and even a few waterfalls.

You may decide to begin your day by taking in the glorious sunrise. You don’t even have to get out of bed, just sit up, look straight ahead and it’s all there in front of you. At dusk you’ll see equally beautiful sunsets providing a stunning backdrop to the dam, windmill and small boat on the property. You may see some local wildlife, including kangaroos, wombats, possums, and wallabies, not to mention the abundance of native birds. You may even like to take a stroll around the property and visit the fairy garden. Stoke up the fire pit at night and enjoy the city lights or gaze at the stars above! I invite you to come and enjoy the country comfort, serenity, and peace that only a stay at “Razor Ridge Retreat” can offer which you can also enjoy with your small pet on request. Please note that the property is fenced but the gates are always left open. Please ensure your pet is house-trained and supervised at all times whilst on the property. There is minimal traffic as we are located halfway along a “no-through road”. We are a ten-minute drive to historic Picton, or 15 minutes to Camden where there are many quality cafes, restaurants and pubs, or continue south for 50 minutes to the beautiful Southern Highlands. The Space....... The tiny house has been built with style in mind. It accommodates a maximum of 2 adults, (Sorry, no children under the age of 10 allowed owing to a small dam being located a few metres from tiny house and also being close to a safely fenced cliff edge. It has a comfortable queen-size bed facing a huge window to enable guests to take in the amazing views. Premium Sheridan towels and bed linen will be provided. A small wardrobe & drawers.

For your convenience, milk, tea, and coffee are provided. Just 3 minutes away is Kurrajong Village, where you'll find shops, cafes, a butcher, a bakery, a chemist, a supermarket, and doctors. Your hosts, John and Peter, reside in a separate cottage on the farm and are available to assist or provide local information if needed. Only an hour from Sydney, the cottage offers a large garden and 32 hectares (80 acres) of wooded farmland, located in the foothills of the Blue Mountains. The Blue Mountains boast numerous scenic bushwalks and spectacular views. The nearby Hawkesbury River is ideal for canoeing, and the historic towns of Richmond, Windsor, and Ebenezer are just minutes away.

Accessible only by boat, this secluded and lovingly decorated house at Bar Point on the Hawkesbury River, (aka Deerubbin,) is only an hour from the Sydney CBD. This beautiful Artists retreat is surrounded by nature. You don't have to be an artist to stay with us, but we do offer free boat transfers for artists and musicians. You will arrive by boat and soak up the serenity. Large deck with river views. Located on the waterfront on the Eastern side of Bar Point. Our custom-designed Finnish sauna offers a unique and holistic experience, the combination of heat, dimmed lights, and the smell of cedar or essential oils creates a healing ambience that is both invigorating and comforting. The house is full of Art, books, games, and DVDs, there is also the 'yoga deck' behind the house with even more expansive views of the river - a perfect place to do some morning meditation or enjoy a bowl of pasta as the sun goes down, highlighting the orange of the sandstone cliffs across the river. Surrounded by National Parks and completely free of cars and traffic, this is a beautiful little retreat, perfect for a family or a group of friends to meet up and re centre. At Bar Point there are no shops or cafes so you must bring everything you need with you, basic pantry staples such as salt, pepper, cooking oil etc are provided. Kayaks, fishing poles and crab pots provided. Our own private residence is a separate apartment upstairs, there are no shared walls or internal stairs and you will have your own private entrance, however as it is a large, old wooden house you may at times hear us moving about upstairs, naturally we try to be as quiet as possible when we have guests visiting. We will leave you entirely to yourselves but if you do need any help or information or even a little guided walking tour of the locality we are very happy to accommodate you. Our sauna deck is a shared area which guests are welcome to use, heating the sauna takes an hour or two, so just let us know and we will get it all ready for you with fresh towels, scented oils and branches of freshly cut lavender or wormwood to create a beautiful ambience.
