We do not accommodate large groups as our focus is peace, relaxation and family friendly. The property is home to an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, native birds and reptiles. There are also a lot of wombats so stay on the track and look for burrows. There are many activities to enjoy including kayaking, fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird watching and 15kms of mountain bike trails. We are pet friendly, please remember to have your pets protected against ticks. You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please DO NOT dig toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up and leave a real mess!! Campfires permitted in designated areas. There is mobile reception. No shooting, archery or hunting. No trail bikes. Do not damage trees, there is plenty of firewood on the ground. Don't forget your mozzie repellent. Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks. If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider. We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available. Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers. Sites are easy access with a clear track. All sites are dispersed so you can choose where you stay. We live on property and are happy to share and let people enjoy our beautiful location. The morning birdsong and evening frog song is a restorative. The sunrises and sunsets amazing, and the stars beautiful. Far enough away to unwind and relax, close enough to get a caffeine fix if needed! Close to charming village of Bundanoon, Berrima, local wineries and good food outlets. Coming into winter camp fires are a must, generally best to BYO wood. Campers must be self-contained. We have a leave only footprints philosophy. All rubbish and waste (human, animal & general) must be taken off property. We have had any and all types of campers, from swags to RVs and everything in between, all can be accommodated. Climb Pigeon House Mountain or cruise on the Merinda up the Nelligen River over a seafood lunch...you will not be disappointed. Upon arrival, you will be able to choose a spot on the property that you wish to set up. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet and take all waste when they go. Strictly no 'digging a hole.' When booking please note that one site is big enough for your van or tent, the extras button is for extra guest/children in your tent or van. If you have guests with another tent or van and vehicle they need to book their own site The pubs and clubs are a near convenience, or you can just kick back by your own pit fire and enjoy the stars in the safety of The Hundred Acre Woods. Please note that site assignments may be adjusted following rain due to accessibility. We offer direct river access for fishing, swimming, kayaking, SUPs, or canoeing. There is also a spot to launch a small tinny—please let us know if you wish to do so and we can show you the location. You can enjoy a leisurely paddle around Burrill Lake or head toward the Dolphin Point beach area, though there are many spots on the lake much closer for a swim. Amenities & Supplies An IGA supermarket, bottle shop, bakery, and fish and chip shop are accessible via the lake at the Burrill Lake bridge. Fire pits are provided (when no fire restrictions are in place). Please do not cut down any trees on the property; firewood can be purchased. Property Rules • Access: Water access is available from each campsite. Please remain in your designated camp area and avoid walking or driving around the rest of the property. • Privacy: The properties across the river are private and are not to be accessed. • Pets: This is a working farm. Please contact us prior to booking to discuss if your pet is suitable. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Off-leash areas are available in nearby Milton, Mollymook, and Narrawallee. Gina’s communication was amazing, she gave great directions and made getting to camp really simple. The camp site was great, a compost toilet, fire pit, seating and tables, the view was spectacular and the site itself felt really private and secluded even though we were only 15 minutes from Bomaderry (which was super handy). 4 nights at Kookaburra – Peaceful Bush Escape

I recently stayed at the "Good Luck" site within the very aptly named Kookaburra and had a fantastic time. The location is peaceful and feels secluded and natural whilst still not far from the road and access to amenities. The site is full of life, days filled with birdsong from many species and in the evenings the sounds of activities and calls from nocturnal mammals is all around yoy. There are also some friendly and curious cows and an approachable, though timid horse. I found the toilet on the site to be clean and well maintained and the option to purchase crates of firewood was both convenient and competitively priced. The sites are well spaced out and even though I was there on a public holiday weekend with every site in use I never felt impacted by the other campers. All in all a wonderful time and very accessible to new campers.

Lisa & Ross have a stunning property, it’s perfect for all to stay- families, individuals and groups of friend’s! I was there on a girls trip and my friend could bring her doggies along too. Ross provided us with heaps of firewood for only $15 per night and the communal area/ amenities were all very clean and easy to find. Would highly recommend and will hopefully be back there sometime 🔥🏕️

I love camping at Coolendel camp and land because it’s so much fun and relaxing and the atmosphere is amazing and wonderful and the people are so nice and the amazing views and getting to experience of having a fire pit. The land is beautiful and well maintained and protected and they keep it clean and safe. It’s a great place for couples, families, friends just anyone.
