Our property is located on a 10-acre block on the banks of the Murray River. We are approximately 3km from the town centre but have a private and secluded feel with no close neighbours. The powered camp site can cater up to 50 people. $50.00 per person per night (except children under 10 years old). All persons under 18 years of age are to be supervised whilst on the farm. Alternatively, for people not wanting to camp out or those with caravans or RV’S we have a site in close proximity to a 20 x 9 mtr shed, powered with concrete slab. The powered shed site is $50.00 per person per night. Hunters Spread is approximately 3.5 hours from Melbourne. The farm is approximately 30 minutes drive to Beechworth, Bright and Lake Buffalo and about 50kms to Albury Wodonga. We had a fantastic stay on the property over a few nights. The place is vast in nature, great views, is nice and quiet and with clean and new facilities. There are farm animals around and even a fresh supply of eggs! Our hosts Ally & Shane were very kind and thoughtful, making sure we were comfortable throughout the entire stay. We loved camping at this property. It was peaceful and spacious and in a great location . If you have bikes it was perfect as so close to the bike trails. The directions were easy to follow and Ken, who was really friendly, came and greeted us.

What a great spot right by the Murray River. Ken greeted us on our arrival and was extremely welcoming and generous with information about the property, surrounding area and resources available. The spot enjoys wonderful sun in the afternoon and lovely grass underfoot. It’s quite a drop to the river and access is via a ladder (we didn’t end up going down). We really enjoyed our stay, easy drive to the surrounding wineries. The only thing we did find annoying, and not at all a reflection on this site, was the loud persistent dog barking on the other side of the river at the free camping in Vic! Would definitely come back for another stay.!

Lisa & Ken’s Riverview campsite was perfectly positioned to base ourselves for exploring the Rutherglen wine region. So peaceful and private with absolute river frontage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Purchased a large wheelbarrow of nice dry red gum wood that Ken personally delivered. He had even added enough kindling for the 2 nights that we stayed which was very much appreciated. So relaxing sitting high up on the river bank gazing at the water below. Couldn’t believe how beautiful the Murray looked. On the weekend we stayed we had the place all to ourselves. Clear communication and easy to follow instructions from the hosts made finding the location easy. Highly recommend this Hipcamp!

Our farm stay was just what we needed for a short getaway over the long weekend. The farm was perfect for us-clean flush toilets, hot showers, and most of all, an incredibly accommodating host. We even got to collect fresh eggs straight from the chook pen for free! We stayed for two nights in a roof top tent with our two dogs and had a wonderful time. Definitely recommending this to friends and looking forward to coming back. Thanks, Ally!

Ken and Lisa were super accommodating for our 7 night stay at their beautiful property on the banks of the Murray. It was a perfect spot to set up camp while we explored the Victorian High Country and surrounds. The public camping area opposite the property was a bit noisy, however that is to be expected for the week between Christmas and New Year! Otherwise, the spot was peaceful and private, even when the other site had campers. Ken gave us access to town water and a rubbish bin which were both very handy, as any camper would understand 😊 We would definitely stay here again!

Ally and Shane were amazing! Great views and very accommodating. The kids got to collect and keep the chicken eggs. Shower and toilet were very clean. Kids got to sit on the horses and Shane gave us meat to try catch yabbys in the dam (didn’t catch anything unfortunately). They gave us fresh cucumbers and offered up fresh herbs. Showed us some great river spots. One suggestion for campers, pick the flat sand part to camp on. Silly us picked the grassy area that’s not as flat but we made it work easy enough, and we did have the best view of the mountains and sunset! Thank you again ally and Shane, you guys were amazing and we had a great time. Highly recommend!

My partner and I loved camping at this location. It was very private (but also very close to town), tucked away right on the banks of the Murray River. The site was large (and with only two campers permitted on the site at any time, it meant lots of privacy and peace and quiet). The sites were well maintained, grassy with great shade trees.

Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property. Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided at the site plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around. The King River Site is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us. Accessible for most types of vehicles. Only 3 large campsites! Great for family groups and friends, lots of room. Kids under 5 stay free, pet friendly. North East Vic is a tourist mecca, with food and wine, lakes and rivers, cycling and markets, mountains and waterfalls. - We are only 2 and half hours from Melbourne and 20 mins off Hume Fwy, via Wangaratta. Please read the whole listing, lots to tell you about us. Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people). Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here. Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly. Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite. Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.**** We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites. Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there. Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district. The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive! Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo. 8kms to Moyhu which has a pub, coffee shop, general store - all with great food options. We endeavour to provide a peaceful environment, and this is generally a lovely quiet location which more than fulfils our own personal requirements for an undisturbed lifestyle, and will no doubt do so for the vast majority of campers. But we can’t guarantee it will always be completely silent during the day or at night- especially if the lambs or calves or foals are being weaned from their mothers! Ear plugs are available for light sleepers if required. And if you are an extremely noise sensitive person or someone who wants a private camping experience with no noise or neighbouring houses visible, this may not be the right spot for you (if this is you, we would recommend looking for a more remote stay on a large acreage which will provide you with a more private experience) * And while on the topic- if partying late into the night with loud music, a thumping base on your sound system and extremely raucous singing and laughter is your thing, then this is not the right camping spot for you. While we are all for socialising and having fun, if you want to party loudly into the wee hours we would suggest finding a camping spot far away from neighbouring properties where the sound doesn’t carry for miles across the land. Our 25 acre Hipcamp area is located safely within our 300 acre property which enjoys approximately 5 kilometres of pristine and private Murray River frontage in the beautiful rural city of Albury. Willowbank is a fourth generation cattle farm and when you arrive at Willowbank you will feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere but you are only 2.8km from the centre of Albury and 2.9km to Wodonga from our sites . We are less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful South Albury cafe and boutique shopping precinct; Ebden & Olive, Nannina's, Meraki, Platform 9, South Albury Take Away, Di Billet, Almar Organics, Sukor Wellness & Recovery, The Red Devil Brewery, Tucker on Townsend, Chic to Chic and more. We are also only 3.5km from Harris Farm Markets. Albury's public Dump Point at Albury Railway Station is less than 5 minutes away. Each of our camping sites is well away from each of the others and there is plenty of room at each site for children to play. The two best sites for swimming are The River Bend and The Willows. We encourage the use of life jackets for children in the water at all time. We have no toilet or shower facilities at any of our sites so you are required to bring your own toilet with you. All waste must be removed at the end of your visit. With notice, we can arrange portaloo hire should you need, please enquire with us prior to booking. We have no access to drinking water and if you decide to use river water for drinking we do recommend that you boil the water. Swimming, floating, paddling in the Murray River is a sublime pastime. Please be aware though, that the Murray River has a very fast and strong current. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site! We do have an area to launch your motor or paddle boat or jet ski We are on the banks of the magnificent Murray River and all our three sites are absolute river frontage with uninterrupted views up, down and across the Murray River.
