It is situated in a peaceful rural setting with, clean, crisp mountain air. The elevation is approximately 1293 metres and in winter there are frosts and the occasional snowfall. Blue Hole Riverside Camp (via Castle Doyle Rd) is located 10 minutes out of Armidale and provides sunny, cleared acres to camp by the riverside with peaceful surrounds and total relaxation. Easy access to the river to swim, fish, kayak or canoe. A short two minute drive (approx 3kms) to the beautiful Blue Hole Picnic Area and Gara Gorge offers swimming, picnic seating, BBQ and bush walking in a scenic bush setting with clean toilets. Armidale is home to many gorges and national parks like no other region. Dangars falls is a stunning waterfall with a picnic area. This rural property suits self sufficient campers only with own drinking water and shower/toilet amenities. All campers must take their rubbish with them leaving no trace - no bins provided. Please note that wifi is limited in this camping area by the river. You will find certain spots around the area that will work more efficiently. We do not offer wifi. "Jindalee" is located on a 500 acre property, 26kms east of Glen Innes. Being situated only 2kms off the Gwydir Highway, access is very easy. We have moved our camping area to a new position on “Jindalee”. This area is in a sheltered glade with views out to the north. There is a clean pit toilet with hand washing water. - bring your own drinking water. It is a large open space suitable for even the biggest rig. We have camp fire areas and offer a supply of wood, more wood can be purchased off Bob the caretaker. We are 40kms from Gibraltar Range National Park, pet friendly, and offer secure camping and a place to leave your pets so you can explore the area. We offer a pet minding service during the day for a small fee for those who want to visit the National parks. There is a bitumen road to the boundary and then an all-weather gravel road to the site. Our camping sites are grassy and have a lovely view. We offer campfire pits and free wood - limited amount collected beside each fire pit. More firewood can be purchased from Bob, our Caretaker.

What a great place! Highly recommend a spot by the river - the sound of the water at night was a great way to drift off to bed in this peaceful camp. Hosts were amazing and accomodating of a last minute booking, and the local cows gave us a great welcome when we arrived. The dogs loved a splash in the water too.

The view was gorgeous, it was peaceful and my absolute favourite part was that the ground was perfectly soft so we didn’t even need a hammer to put any of the tent pegs in. Kelly was very responsive with her messages and a lovely host. We would definitely recommend!

Scenic camp site with nice, clean facilities for all your needs. We were just stopping over for the night camping beside our vehicle. Hosts helped us out massively in a pinch as a storm rolled through and went out of their way to allow us to camp under the shed. Can't thank them enough and will definitely be recommending Kai Iwi Estate in future.

This Hipcamp honestly took our breath away. The view alone is incredible, and the beautiful white flowers around the property made the whole place feel extra special the moment we arrived. It was really easy to find and access, and the location itself was peaceful and quiet — exactly what we were hoping for. When we pulled in, we saw a little kid feeding the horses and it was honestly the cutest, most wholesome welcome ever. The horses were gorgeous, and the amenities were spotless. The hot shower was perfect, and having a laundry available felt like such a luxury while camping. Our dog had the best time exploring the space, and we’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a calm, scenic getaway. Would absolutely stay again.

We loved our time here, so peaceful. Bob the caretaker is awesome. Told us what we needed to know & left us in peace but was good for a chat if that's what you felt like. Wildlife everywhere, stars forever & a good supply of wood for a camp fire. If we are up that way again will be staying here again

A nice roomy, clear area over looking more land and hills, plenty of trees and wildlife. Nice dam for dogs to swim, fire pit for cool weather, good access, my van isn't off road and it had no trouble getting in. Easy to find and helpful owner and caretaker.

We recently stayed at Kai Iwi Estate in Glencoe, just a short 15 min drive south of Glen Innes, and it was nothing short of magical. Perched on top of a scenic hill, the campsite offered breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The flat, level grassy area beside the shed was perfect for setting up our 22foot van, complete with access to power and potable water. The modern ensuite facilities were a standout immaculately clean with a hot shower, toilet, washing machine, and large clothesline, making our stay incredibly comfortable. For just $5 a day we had access to firewood, and the large fire pit. Our dogs had the time of their lives, exploring the open spaces and making friends with the curious friendly horses that often came to the fence for a pat. Annabelle is friendly and welcoming host, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Her hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay even more special.
