"Glendawn" is a small farming/ cattle grazing property with many beaut spots for camping. There are 2 sites with access to power and a few others without. It's a great place to get away but not too far from town. Fire pits and some firewood provided. We have a powered site in the old Woolshed. The Woolshed has had some modifications. It has a camp kitchen, hot and cold running water, toilet & shower. There is a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, gas BBQ, outdoor fire pit, chairs, power and lighting. Large central area indoors. Its a delightful spot in the paddock to enjoy being "in the country". The woolshed itself is 2WD accessible. In the winter months its really quite cold overnight. There's a great outdoor firepit and I provide firewood for $10. There's a patio heater too and its 8kg gas cylinder costs $30. I will provide the first one. This venue has been popular for families 'plugging in' their vans and for others to roll their swags out either inside the shed or under the stars. Privacy and peace and quiet in abundance here. We also have unpowered camping in the paddocks. There are a few places with shade near a dam, by the old hayshed, or on a hill with views over the valley, excellent sunsets and a clearing for camping, 4WD accessible. Children under 12 stay for free on unpowered sites!

We have a stunning 640 acre cattle farm nestled in the hills of the Northern Tablelands, overlooking the Wellingrove Valley. Redbank has many beautiful places and things to see, including two natural gullies full of native birds and wildlife, native woodlands, four beautiful dams and wild fallow deer. Redbank also has about 140ha set aside under Biodiversity Conservation Trust. This is a "no drive" area but always open to walking. There is a map available to show where everything on the property is located. Redbank features diverse terrain, from secluded forests and woodlands to open undulating paddocks with excellent views and sunsets. A campfire is allowed, however it needs to be kept at a reasonable size, especially during fire restriction periods. Please keep the fire within the allocated fireplace provided. At times we provide guests with firewood when we are able, but they are permitted to use nearby timber collected themselves. We have multiple campsites available, however we realise that you may want to be independent and camp in a unique place! We understand this, however we will direct you to a spot which best suits the campers' and their vehicle type, as some of our tracks are 4x4 only. We limit numbers of groups to the number of campsites available. In this way, we protect the environment and wildlife. We will be here to help you decide on the best campsite on arrival. There is some access to water (not necessarily drinking), but you will need to bring your own shower. There are no rubbish facilities or showers and limited access to toilet facilities. Pets are welcome but must be kept under your control at all times as we have cattle on the property. We have a friendly Maremma guardian dog who can turn up unannounced. He will most probably lick you to death.

We do not permit hunting as we want our guests to have and enjoy the tranquility and space. Please note, that our Farmer Wants a Wife site has a long-drop toilet and designated fire ring, however, our other sites are for completely self-contained campers only. If you are visiting during the shearing season, you are welcome to come and check it out for an insight into farm life! Pet friendly, but only small breeds, and must be kept on a lead at all times. Please discuss bringing your dog with the host before booking. Campfires are ok provided you BYO firepit, and they are kept small and manageable. There is plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect for firewood. Strictly no cutting down of trees. No campfires during fire bans, or when conditions are not favourable. Whilst fishing tours are possible on the property, you must discuss your interest with the host prior as there are important rules around this and is , it's strictly catch-and-release only. We do not allow hunting of any description so that our visitors can have a quiet and relaxing stay without interruptions. Just five minutes up the road is Green Valley Fun Park with a huge playground, jumping pillow, animal walkabout, museum and 18 hole mini putt. Bimbivale is a working farm located half way between Sydney and Brisbane on the New England Highway. We grow superfine wool, sheep and beef cattle, and we enjoy working with our Australian Stock Horses, Welsh Mountain Ponies and various working dogs on farm. There are critically endangered White Box - Yellow Box - Blakely’s Red Gum Grassy Woodlands located across the property, making it a beautiful place to experience the great Aussie outdoors. Being granite country, the property offers some special rocky outcrops and features. You may get to see some rare or even endangered species here. At 1100 m elevation, the winters are cold (with occasional snow), and the summers are divine, with daytime maximums reaching a top of around 28-30 degrees. Activities include bushwalking, mountain biking, fishing for trout or yellow belly in the farm dams, watching spectacular sunrises or sunsets from elevated parts of the New England landscape, watching your campfire crackle (fire season permitting), visiting the nearby Dobson's Gin Distillery or Kentucky General Store (10-12 km), or treating yourself to Uralla's many fine eateries or shopping experiences just 20 km up the highway. Bimbivale is also just 45 minutes from Tamworth and its Country Music Festival and AELEC (Australia Equine & Livestock Events Centre), or just 30 minutes from Armidale, host city to the University of New England and base for visiting the many National Parks and World Heritage Wilderness areas the region offers. Our camp sites are located along a central ridge line, which is fully accessible by motorhomes, caravans, camper trailers and two wheel drive cars in dry weather conditions. Most sites have a fire pit and access to water, but we recommend you byo drinking water. We can top up drinking water if required. Currently we prefer visitors who have their own ensuite/toilet facilities, although we will soon offer a toilet on-site. Sometimes we can offer eggs and fruit or vegetables from our orchard and garden. We are happy for your well-behaved dog to visit with you, as long as it remains confined or on a leash at all times. If you have more than 6 guests or 3 cars in your group, please book additional sites and we can ensure you are all able to camp together.

Outside there is wood-burning BBQ the camping paddock is fully fenced in . For 4WD enthusiasts, there are good camping spots at the top of the mountain ridge however need to be self contained eg toilet. You will need to bring your own fresh drinking water supply and unleaded fuel to run the water pump and generator. We have secure cattle yards as a holding space if holidaying with your horses (please see Extras for horse facility fees). Enjoy scenic horse rides around the valley and relax in front of the campfire by night. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Weekend Trip to "Glendawn"

We loved our stay at Glendawn on the Woolshed site! We had plenty of space to ourselves and the Woolshed was perfect to have especially on the stormy night that we decided to stay! A toilet and hot shower was also a massive bonus! Thank you for being so friendly and having us Frances, we’ll definitely be back next time we are in the area!

We didn’t actually get to stay long at Briarfield as something came up and we had to leave early but I can say that it is an awesome place and Robert and Julia are great hosts who were more than understanding when our circumstances changed and we had to leave early and they actually refunded our money which we didn’t ask for or expect but it was much appreciated and it just shows the type of people that they are. We can’t wait to get back and enjoy their awesome property. The views from the campsites are amazing.

Amazing experience camping at New Valley, Kay was so helpful to arrange the stay for our group of 3 families, tent, swags and a caravan. Freedom to pretty much do what we wanted, collect wood, fire, music etc. grassy area made it easy for camping especially with a baby. Kay and her husband were happy to show us around and let us explore the waterfall and rock pools on the property too. Would stay again for sure.

4 nights at New Valley Dreaming

The dam site is nice a good view down the valley. We were serenaded by the frogs (but they cut out by bedtime) we saw wallabys black and pretty faced, kangaroos a couple of deer and lots of birds. There was plenty of camp fire wood also . It's in the property a bit but a good gravel track . Kay met us on the road and lead us there nice hosts.

I stayed at The Woolshed in my tent with my two dogs, and it was absolutely perfect. Directions were super clear and communication with Frances was excellent. Even while she was dealing with a family tragedy, she was incredibly kind and responsive. The location is brilliant, a great base for exploring all that the New England High Country has to offer. The dogs had the best time roaming and exploring. They were intrigued by the cattle and perhaps don’t have a future as farm dogs! The facilities were amazing: a hot, clean shower and toilet, plus access to the fridge and camp kitchen in the woolshed, which was a real bonus. The sunsets were to die for, and the peace and quiet made it feel like I was a million miles away. It was exactly what I needed. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-set-up stay. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

Weekend Trip to New Valley Dreaming

This spot was perfect for us. Kay and Steve were absolutely amazing with communication and ensured everything was okay for our stay. The river was great to spend time by and loved just watching the wild goats traversing the rocky ravines. The stay was thoroughly relaxing and peaceful to just be out in hills with nature and escape everyday busy life for a while. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves the solitude when camping or even as a group that just wants a private space to spend together. We certainly plan to return.

Camped at the Ruins for a few nights with my daughter and she loved it. Property was easy to find & hosts were awesome. Beautiful bush camp on a cozy protected bend in the creek. Plenty of space to walk and explore or just sit and relax. As advertised, it’s remote and private. Just you, the bush and plenty of wildlife. Will definitely return.

1 night at New Valley Dreaming

A love warm welcome by Kay, and a heap of interaction before arrival, to ensure a successful check in. We got an upgrade to a beautifully stunning and very secluded spot, and Kay gave us a personal escort to the site. Definitely recommend a 4WD and off road trailer to get the the farmer wants a wife site if your booking there (the dam site, not quite as essential). So very worth it, though and sad to only have it as a stopover on the way to our final destination. Highly recommend if you are keen to get completely off the grid, away from any human noise and get back to nature.

Lovely quiet spot up on the Ridge. Very friendly animals close by which my daughter enjoyed. Had a lovely fire and stayed just the one night. Very accommodating hosts. Would definately recommend.
