Around 200 handraised and tame animals and 200 birds. 'La Paloma' is a farm located 15 minutes from the township of Cowra and Wyangala Dam. La Paloma boasts spectacular views down the valley and of surrounding granite hills. We offer powered and unpowered camping and a glamping tent. Take a walk up the hill to take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets! There is lots of native bird life to see here, with Superb Parrots, Blue Wrens, Cockatoos, Rosellas, Wedge Tail Eagles and of course, Doves (hence the property name, La Paloma).Wake up to see the mob of kangaroos bounding up the hill. Make sure to pop over to Wyangala Dam (14 min) for a fish or take part in some watersports. Or even head down the road to Elliotts Lookout over the Dam for some incredible views! We can even provide under cover boat storage if you want to bring your boat with you for some fun on the lake! In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Year round, enjoy the tranquillity and landscapes of the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre in Cowra (14 min). The gardens act as a monument of peace and reconciliation between two countries after the largest Prisoner Of War breakout in modern military history. Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town. Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! You can have campfires in your own contained fire pits and sometimes we have complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky. Property has a gorgeous stand-alone bathroom building with 2 toilets, a hot water shower and sink. Please keep this clean and tidy. There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table and basic camp kitchen set up for use in the shearing shed. Please take all rubbish with you. Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in any open paddock (granite pad sites on hill are their own sites). Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

Steph’s land is lovely and quiet — a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Everything was easy to find and well prepared, even though we didn’t meet the host in person. Just a few small things to note: there’s only one bathroom, the grassy area is a bit sloped, and the camp kitchen doesn’t have running water for washing up. Other than that, it’s a beautiful and peaceful stay!

We had a lovely time. A very beautiful area with lots of local spots to explore. We highly recommend the pub at Woodstock, a meal at the Woodstock bowling club, and the Japanese Gardens in Cowra. Rachel and her family were above and beyond in their hospitality, so friendly and even shared fresh eggs with us!

Exceptional!!! Best Hipcamp stay we have had thus far ☀️🙌. Sites are stunning, you are spaced generously around the property so get a real sense of privacy and quiet. The facilities are excellent. Only consideration, if you are bringing kiddos there are some stinging nettles when your adventure the property, so pack some antihistamines and sting-goes, did the trick when our 5yo landed his hand on one. But this is a MUST visit! Totally worth the drive from Sydney 🙌👌🏽☀️

Weekend Trip to REVELSTONE MOUNTAIN CAMPS

We arrived late so had no contact with the owner. The gate codes worked as per the instructions. The site and tracks were well marked. As per direction on the map, some of the trails were only suitable for 4WD which added to the adventure. The mountain site was pretty exposed in the wind but we could easily have found a more shelters spot if we needed. In the end, I'm glad we didn't because we woke up the next morning to the most magnificent views. We'll be back, but next time we will bring friends.

The property is a very beautiful one. Views are quite amazing from the top of the mountain. It was a little windy while I stayed at Hanging Rock, but that was due to the weather that was hammering Sydney at the time. Graham was kind enough to allow me to change campsites further down the mountain (Banyula) where it was more sheltered. It also had great views. There are many tracks around the property that are relatively easy four wheel driving, I enjoyed my time driving around them and exploring. It was also a nice walk around the property.
