Located near Young, this campsite is set on grassy undulating land. This is a working farm. You will need to be a self-contained camper with own camping toilet/shower, drinking water and supplies. There are rubbish facilities available for guests. Enjoy the crisp air and relax by the campfire at night. Known as the Hilltop region, the township of Young and surrounds are full of rolling hills, farmlands and bush. If you visit in spring you'll be able to see fields full of bright yellow canola flowers as far as the eye can see. Bring your camera! In December Young celebrates the National Cherry Festival, where you will find live music, a parade, fireworks and of course lots and lots of freshly picked, plump cherries. The region also has many vineyards and food providores as well as museums and some great historical sites. Our property is located a short distance out of town for all your shopping needs. We have a 55 acre property at the foot of the Dananbilla Range, a working farm with coloured Miniature Sheep, also pattable Galloway Cattle and calfs and Miniature and normal sized horses, donkeys, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks and LOTS of Miniature Goats all very friendly. Around 200 handraised and tame animals and 200 birds. We are the largest and oldest Miniature Goat Stud in NSW.....all year round we have baby goats, turkeys, horses, cows, sheep...all hand raised and friendly. We often have babies on bottles and goats to milk and generally, the farm is a wonderful place to be for those who love animals. The State Forest that surrounds our farm is a wonderful experience for bushwalking and the views are outstanding with spectacular sunrises and sunsets to admire. There are endless amounts of native birds, kangaroos and wallabies to view and sometimes we see a local echidna or wombat. We provide a peaceful farm with loving animals who love human attention. Weekend Trip to Travellers Rest

Fiona and John were great and Travellers Rest was such a quiet and peaceful stay. We were met on arrival with such a friendly vib and nothing was too much trouble. Fiona's homemade relish and sauces were delicious and added to the whole experienced. We had a visit from the host's lovely pups... just delightful. 100% recommend, thanks Fiona and John!

Young Country Getaway was an amazing property. You want beautiful bush views? It’s got it. Amazing sunsets? We saw them. You need peace and quiet? It’s here Did you say close to town but far enough out? Uh, right here. What about gorgeous ducks, Geese and a stunning peacock? Look no further. A spacious well kept rural property? Young Country Getaway is the answer We loved it and will be back for sure. Directions on how to get to Young country getaway from Mary were simple and we found it easy to find. Mary was very communicative. Best camp ever!

Lovely friendly hosts. Fantastic place because it was so quiet and peaceful. John went out of his way to help us navigate the local roads; we were very appreciative. Bought some of Fiona’s jam and condiments. Delicious! Would definitely recommend.

Loved this stay. Big green mowed grassy area including a large pond. We enjoyed the campfire, and watching the various birds, horses, sheep, and the ram. Set in a beautiful location. The property almost feels like living in a fairytale.

Amazing experience. Janelle and David do a great job keeping the property in shape and the animals happy and friendly. I would recommend this camping spot to anyone. So so many goats, sheep and birds as well as a few deers, donkies, cows and ponies.

This property is perfect, so quite, lots of wildlife and you must purchase some of the owners' homemade products thay are to die for. We used the location as a home base for visiting family and some of the great attractions not to far away We will return for a longer stay.

We loved staying at Mary’s place. Just us and the animals, it was so peaceful & serene. We really enjoyed laughing at the geese, peacock & peahens. The horses and the goat were friendly too. A very relaxing getaway, highly recommend it.
