We also back on to the Dananbilla national park which is 35 square kilometres. A running spring fed creek with yabbies and watercress and small water hole in creek for a dip with small water fall. We back on to 35 square kms of national park called Dananbilla. You can see kangaroos, wallaby, wombat and if lucky akidna , goanna , lace monitor and many varieties of birds. Great cell phone service with optus and telstra but not Vodafone. Can charge your phone ,just bring your lead and power plug. Plenty of firewood for your stay from fallen dead branches. The mountain has the origional trig station for the area on top from early 1800s with beautifull views. If you visit in spring you'll be able to see fields full of bright yellow canola flowers as far as the eye can see. Bring your camera! In December Young celebrates the National Cherry Festival, where you will find live music, a parade, fireworks and of course lots and lots of freshly picked, plump cherries. The region also has many vineyards and food providores as well as museums and some great historical sites. Our property is located a short distance out of town for all your shopping needs.
