The property is located less than 2 hours from Sydney, 20 mins from Cessnock and the Hunter wineries, adjacent to Sugarloaf Conservation area. You'll love the morning and evening birdsong and be surrounded by the colour green by day. At night, be lulled by the music of the froggy symphonies, watch the moon rise over the forrest, and being mesmerised by the warmth and dancing light of a fire. Wallabies visit at dusk and dawn and a Koala has been heard calling at night. A 1km drive from the main road leads to the open living space. There are two cabins, just within sight of each other, a campsite with an outdoor kitchen shed and a large oval lawn. The Sky Cabin (blue) has a very comfortable queen size bed, a large deck, bbq, composting toilet, small equipped kitchen, solar lighting, hot and cold running water, an outdoor hot shower, and slow combustion fireplace inside. The Earth Cabin has an exceptionally comfortable queen size bed, deck, composting toilet, solar lighting, a slow combustion fireplace inside and running water outside a short distance away. If you want to include Belle tents in your booking rather than bring your own you have the option to add those to your booking and we will set them up for you with lighting included, though you will need to BYO beds and bedding. The campsite adjacent to the shed has running water, an outdoor shower and outdoor toilet. The property has short (circular) walks through the bush, and access to Sugarloaf Conservation area (with further walks and access to the Great North Walk). But its the ideal place to just chill. Located in the heart of the Hunter Valley between the Pokolbin vineyards and Upper Allyn State Forest part of Barrington Tops National Park, it's an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful region. The spacious Eco–friendly Lodge provides all the comforts with 2 bedrooms (each with en-suites) accomodating up to 4 guests, kitchenette, spacious dining and lounge area. Reverse cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans. All freshly sun-dried bed linen and towels supplied. A front deck to relax on, with outdoor furniture and Webber BBQ, take in the breathtaking views of the rolling hills and countryside and incredible starry skies at night! Winn has had 28 years in the Hunter Valley Boutique winery and hospitality business and is happy to help with places to visit and wineries to see! Roger is a cattleman and loves to talk about the Land and history. Enjoy a wealth of local information from the Owners! And by arrangement, take a walk on the farm. STRICTLY NON-SMOKING in the Lodge or anywhere on the property! DOG STAYS are available by request for well-behaved, immunised dogs, up to 2 Dogs only and all care and responsibility must be taken by the dog owners at all times. Please mention if you are bringing a dog in your booking request. Dogs can not stay in the lodge alone and must be supervised by owners at all times. There is a fully fenced dog-proof playground area with a large kennel located next to the Lodge, extra towels, and an outdoor hose. Just bring your dog's basket/bed, toys and food! Paterson Lookout is a studio on a bush block with a beautiful view of the Paterson Valley, with the river, the village and the bush covered hills. The studio is 20 metres from the main house (up 14 steps) with a standard double bed. It has power and internet but occupants have to come to the house for bathroom/ toilet/ kitchen and bathroom. You will also have access the whole property including the magnificent deck, bathroom, kitchen and laundry in the main house. Day trip in 4WD to South end of Barrington Tops Forest - I can take up to 3 people on a day trip to Barrington Tops Forest. Approximately 1 hour drive each way, 4 hours in the forest. Cost is $ 199.00 Tennis - The local tennis courts are 1 Km away and can be hired for $10 per hour. I have some balls and racquets but you may wish to bring your own rackets as mine are not very new.
