A tranquil 85 acre property with multiple options for your stay, along the banks of the Talbragar River or by wooded areas bordering the beautiful Scrubby Creek. The sites are self-service with no amenities currently available, so best suited to those happy to be self-sufficient and with a 'leave no trace' approach. All sites offer bushwalking options (maps can be provided via email), an abundance of native flora and fauna including wild birds, the occasional echidna and wombats. You'll also find sheep and cattle meandering around the paddocks, along with our horses and free ranging peacock. We also have a super friendly kelpie and dachshund pup making the farm feel complete. Dogs are welcome & we have stables or individual paddocks available if you'd like to bring your equine friends (no riding on the property due to insurance). Only 15 minutes to the centre of town & is a great base for your visit to Dubbo. Located on the Mudgee side of Dubbo, it's an easy place to pull up on your travels and we look forward to your visit. Ideally situated just off the Golden Highway, approximately an hour to Western Plains Zoo, the beautiful wine and food destination of Mudgee or amazing Coonabarabran National Park and observatory. This is the perfect spot for secluded and scenic views with Aussie wildlife just outside. Our place is perfect for the no trace camper who wants to get away from it all and experience the bush life. The perfect spot to leave your van and explore around our magnificent country.  There is access to a toilet but no shower or drinking water. Lots of free activities within Dunedoo, such as the Woodlands and our painted Silo. We have cattle on our land.  Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.

Then property is set 600 metres back from a quiet rural road, accessed via a gravel driveway. It is nestled at the foot of Mount Knowles, and includes over 300 acres of bushland in addition to approx 30 acres of formal gardens and mown paddocks, one of which has a pretty dam. All areas have expansive rural views. We offer a basic bush site for self-contained campers and a fully-contained caravan. At Bushman's Camp we welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. You must have your own amenities. Campsites are accessible for 2WDs and we welcoming camping vehicles. You may need to level your vehicle for a comfortable night’s sleep. There are a few options for camping. The land is undulating with flat spots, with open grassy areas peppered with gum trees. Other parts are more heavily wooded with gums and natives. Our caravan comes complete with water, electricity, toilet, 2 double beds, dining area and kitchen. The caravan can sleep 4 guests. Next to the caravan there is room for a further tent, van, trailer or motorhome if desired, for a $35 flat fee. Please add extra guests when booking. Outside the caravan, there is a beautiful sandstone ringed fire pit, BBQ, covered picnic tables, chairs, lighting and some firewood available. You will need to bring your own bed linen and towels. Campfires are permitted at all our listings when not in fireban season so bring your marshmallows! There are lovely views of the valleys and mountains beyond, and you’ll really enjoy the sunsets. No pets please.

Beautiful cleared safe and peaceful site. We stayed on site 1. Slashed walking track to creek. Our dog loved this walk and it was very cool under the trees by the creek for an Arvo drink after a long travel day. Huge site with a fire pit. Easy access for caravans. Flat site. No over hanging trees. Loved it 🫶

Lovely country camp spot. We arrived late but directions were easy to follow and camp sites easy to access with a 21ft van. A bit of a drive in from the road but all worth it for the peaceful country views and surrounds.

Spent a couple of peaceful nights camped by the river. Matt's map & directions made it super easy to find. We had to place to ourselves and didn't see a sole of the entire stay. Would definitely look to revisit if passing through.

Sally was quick to respond to booking and was so accommodating. As we turned up to a 50km/hr wind she offered for us to tuck in behind the shearing shed. Even though we didn't get to experience the back property, we loved the birds and serenity. A little bit of highway noise early evening but ok overnight. Thank you!

Would highly recommend this place. The photos don’t do it justice. We stayed at Site 3 which had a beautiful view of the river. Really quiet and peaceful among the gumtrees. The site was nice and flat and Matt & Leanne left bags of fire wood at the gate for you to purchase which was very convenient. Matt is excellent with the communication and very accommodating. Only 15 mins out of Dubbo. We will definitely be back if we are passing back through this area.

I had a great stay at Riverside 1 site. The site was very peaceful and private. The site was a long way from the house, maybe about one kilometre so if privacy from the host house is a priority for you then this certainly ticks that box. It was very quiet including at night. The river next to the site was just beautiful. It is down from the site a bit. You have to carefully make the walk down so keep that in mind if you are keen to sit by the riverside. I went down with my campchair and had a lovely sit by the river. The site couldn't be easier to access even in my bus which is quite big. And the site is super, super flat - which I am discovering certainly isn't always the case with a lot of places you stay! Matt was great with sms'ing me the deets for finding the place and even noticed when I went whizzing past and missed the entrance and phoned to confirm the directions. Great place - best things are the peace and quiet, being a very natural nature spot and the flatness and easy access.

stayed on River site 3 - what a beautiful peaceful spot. surrounded by paddocks, river, gum trees and horses. The morning bird song was delightful as was the evening bush sounds. Firewood was cheap and plentiful, all bagged up and easy access to the site via an honesty box. The fire pit was large and in the right spot. We had a fabulous couple of nights there and all within 15km of Dubbo!
