4 nights at Diamond Park Campsite

Great campsite that was private with its fenced areas. Compost toilet nearby the campsite with plumbed toilet and shower further away near the entry to the property. The hosts houses were a distance away so the site was always private but they checked it regularly in case we needed anything which was good. Will definitely book again if we are staying near diamond beach. Our family enjoyed the animals at the farm as well as the dams for fishing.

1 night at The Top Place

I had the most tranquil night in my small off road caravan. Just pulled up in the house paddock, had a ride on my bike, brought honey from the neighbours and enjoyed the sunset. Saw Black Cockatoos flying overhead. Thanks Meredith for sharing your serenity!

1 night at Doraville Farm Campsite

Great location for an overnight stay to break up the travel as it is not far from the highway. Plenty of room for numerous vans, although we had the benefit of being the only van there during our mid-week stay. A fab toilet + shower in an old silo with the washing machine an unexpected plus. Wayne was a friendly host and shared several stories + tips from his trips around NSW. Definitely recommended for a short stay.

Well kept, wide open space on the Maria River. Saw a beautiful sunset in the west and sunrise over the river (you don't get to see both in many places) The camp kitchen and amenities are rustic but efficient. The animals are gorgeous. The farm dogs are cute and friendly. Susan and Bernard were lovely hosts. We didn't get to make use of the kayaks on offer but saw other people out on the river kayaking. We only stayed one night which was Monday so we had the whole place to ourselves. Our dog loved it and now identifies as a farm dog :) Susan and Bernard also let us have some friends call in for a cuppa who were on their way North. They loved it too. If you like animals and nature, The Hatch is a great place to stay

Excellent spot and very welcoming hosts. Fenced paddocks are very private and the shelters are very handy for shade and rain protection. Really appreciated the flexibility of the hosts when rain/flooding was impacting our stay.

We had a dream weekend at The Hatch! Fresh eggs on arrival and greeted by Host Susan who walked us to our site. Sit was MASSIVE and level, perfect for our 18ft caravan with water views! The "petting" farm is a real treat :) with chickens, ducks and rabbits all there to enjoy not to mention the friendly collies that came and said hello :) Toilets are on site if needed and at each site has a little shelter area (very nice if tenting). Rained a lot during our stay but the grounds held well, no mud! Just nice grass. We will be back to this amazing place and its now on our regular list :) Thanks Susan and Bernard! Wonderfull weekend!

Between the friendly and knowledgeable hosts, the straight up friendly dogs, the hot shower and the amazingly big Moreton Fig, a great spot to pull in and relax not far off the motorway. Perfect stop over location.

We had a great stay here - Bernard & Susan were so helpful and accommodating with what we needed. The place is stunning and so peaceful and the animals were a bonus - especially their gorgeous dogs Jack and Sally (there’s more but they’re the ones who took a major liking to us)! The shower was powerful and was just what we needed to freshen ourselves up. Thanks again and hopefully we’ll be back the next time we’re in the area 😊

We loved camping at the Hatch Farm. The sites are enormous, flat and grassy. With a shelter shed on each site. Our dog had a blast hanging out with the farm dogs. Fishing is right on your door step. The showers and toilet were very clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly.. Highly recommend this camp site.

Excellent Hipcamp. So thoughtfully put together. The shelter with table and bench seats, water tank and filled firewood storage are fantastic facilities, as is the composting toilet (very clean and well stocked) and shower/washing facilities. Everything has been thought of. Beach 5 minutes drive away, fishing on the property or in the adjoining waterway and super friendly and helpful hosts. Grassy fully fenced site a bonus with poochie in tow - no stress about him chasing the property livestock. Cath and owner John were amazingly helpful with any questions, needs and lots of info about things to do. We will absolutely stay again. Jo

LOCATION: The property lies at the foot of the sheer and majestic Lansdowne Escarpment, bordering Coorabakh National Park. Stunning valley views are to be had from the Flat Rock viewing platform located on the rim of the escarpment above the property. This is a popular spot for local bushwalkers, hikers, and visitors to the area. The cottage is 27 km or a 25-minute drive north of Taree Airport, 45 minutes south of Port Macquarie, and 5 minutes from Upper Lansdowne village. There is a distance of 3kms of unsealed road which is regularly maintained to a good standard by our local council. The nearest x street is Muddy Lane. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. We have also seen an owl near the chicken coop & if you're lucky you may spot the kangaroos in the paddock. We welcome tents, campervans, trailer tents and caravans but you need to provide your own drinking water- outside solar shower is available that can be filled up at the rainwater tank by the camp kitchen. We do have 2 x portapotty and 2 x Thunderbox type toilet that can be hired. The price includes the final emptying, Wingham showgrounds has a dump point if you need to empty before. The Paddock suits all vehicles- Max 6 parties at once. We also have more private spot Woodland Area which suits just one party but vehicle access is a couple of mins walk and further to the camp kitchen. Fires allowed but only in contained firepits and off ground. We currently have 5 firepit presently to use at your own site (must be kept off ground on bricks provided). Fires not allowed during total fire bans Take your camping chairs to the edge of 1 of 2 dams and watch our pet ducks. Pets on leashes are welcome. Plenty to see and do around here.

THE HISTORY OF OUR PLACE as we know it: The Biripi people were the original and will always be the landowners of this area. They spent their summers on the mountain, while their winters were beside the coast. We are told, this area was once a women's only area, where they would bath and give birth. We respect those past and present who took care of this land and lived amongst it. This is Biripi country. Sometime after this, some people took over the land, and then offered it to others. Then cut trees down to build with, and put cows on it for over 80 years.. then we were offered it! And here we are today.... US: We LOVE hosting people, as we literally LOVE sharing this place with others. It’s part of who we are, but also a huge part of our bigger picture, in getting people re connected with Nature, so much so, that they want to protect it. Plus it’s so damn pretty here, all year around! You Camp/Hipcamp has been a driving force as to why we have had so many guests find us, and ultimately stay with us (along with some help from our insta #teretulemastelands blogs & workaway/helpx). But if you are wondering why people would visit, I'll do my best to summarise: • 400 metre walk from our RIVER flat to the famous Ellenborough Falls (famous for being the longest consistent drop in the southern hemisphere - hows that for on the map?) • All sites have access to the river with a short walk, or a tiny walk. Most are sitting on the famous Ellenborough River. • The Penthouse spot of sites is our River Flat. With it's hot shower, 2 composting toilets (still fully off grid), outdoor bbq/kitchen, gas & combustion stove & bar in shed (with solar lighting & fridge). PLUS A MTB PUMP TRACK! ALL PART of what you get when you book it! • The Ellenborough river is gorgeous & fresh, so paddling, floating, swimming, drinking and generally lounging around in it, is welcomed! And the locals often hang out together at the falls (where there are even deeper water holes) and the local made famous The Rapids (8 min drive away). *we will show you once you get here! bYO drinks and floaties! • ALL sites can accommodate reasonably large groups, SERENITY and RIVER FLAT can cater to around 100 OR more if you wanted them to. 2 composting toilets on these sites. (so toilets will be the main limiting factor for a super large group). • We book out each site ‘exclusively’, so only you, your mates and family will be sleeping next to each other. Which is why we have a min rate, versus a per person rate. And why most sites include from 8 people up to 15 people within their min rate. Pretty awesome deal when you divide by that! • Many sites are 4x4 caravan friendly (need good approach and departure angles), and yes, you don’t need to reverse them in, you drive them through making them easy to stop, enjoy your space and get out again! • Local sites are a plenty, whether that is go for a walk to see the falls, OR it’s a rainy day and you take a 45 min trek deeper into the Gondwana belt, where the big trees live, the turquoise water begins, and the Koalas, and Greater Gliders still live (so long as we can keep those pesky loggers away). • Most of our sites have had their roads upgraded, but some like Between the Trees can be a little more ‘4x4’ only. So always ask us if unsure. • YES we allow you to bring your furry friends! 😊. (aka dog friendly stay) • YES we are perfect for the newbie Mountain Biker or those who like a speedy downhill (blue rated), as we also have a Flow Trail AND a pump track available (great for groms and codjers). NOTE: the pump track is only for those who book the River flat at this stage. Unless you're good at making friends with those staying there, bring a beer maybe.. and you can ask them if you can ride it? • Fire pits on most sites • FARM mornings are FREE – just ask us when you arrive! 😊. (cows, sometimes we are milking, goats, baby animals, chickens, a mini mule (Olaf), pigs & we have 4 can be noisy dogs upon arrival). Love some kids to help or just to pat a baby goat! • Need fire wood, or eggs, we sell so just ask. 😊. • Don’t have camping gear, well lucky you! "The Riverbank" is only 7.5 kilometres and an easy 8 minute drive off the M1. The rich green land supports a small beef raising enterprise and the cattle graze in surrounding paddocks. We are pet friendly however only for those pets that live in harmony with our farm animals. We offer 2 powered sites with water hookup and 2 unpowered drive through sites without water connection; our brand new magnificently appointed camp kitchen and bathroom ammenities are available to all who stay. We are caravan, campervan and motorhome friendly but do not offer swag only or tent sites. Campfires can be enjoyed through the cooler months and when permitted by the Rural Fire Service Unfortunately our 3 metre cliff face river frontage prevents access to the river for activities such as boating or kayaking; nor do we offer farm style adventures. "The Riverbank" as a destination for a relaxing time to unwind or a base from which to explore the beautiful Hastings area. The Abundance Nursery and Cafe with it's splendid lily pond view is a great spot to enjoy a meal or a coffee and only 3 kms back along Rawdon Island road. The pretty country town of Wauchope is only a 12 minute drive and is home to Timbertown, a theme park boasting steam train rides and a glimpse of the timber getting industry of a bygone era. Drop into the Vibe Coffee House, pick up "the best" coffee and a sensational meal before perusing the many treasures of Wauchope's specialty shops. A day trip to the Comboyne plateu is a rewarding experience and enhanced by enjoying a meal at the magnificant Byabarra Cafe on your way through. Whilst the meals equall those of any capital city restaurant, the view of the valley will take your breath away. And then; there's Port Macquarie (20 mins) and sorrounds! one of the most scenic and attraction packed areas of Australia's eastern seaboard. Stunning beaches, amazing walks, top class restaurants, the list goes on. The nearest Dump Points are locacted in Wauchope (12 minutes) or Port Macquarie (20 minutes)

If you value your privacy, then you are at the right place. We have just one exclusive campsite on our 40 acres. You are hidden away and guaranteed privacy from the host accommodations. Private access is by 4WD only. Farm route is accessible by 2WD in dry weather - check with hosts before or on confirmation of booking. Access during unpredictable weather will depend on your vehicle/camper/caravan configuration. Please check with host prior if you are unsure. We are more than willing to make it work for you. On arrival, guests are met by host and directed to the site. Camp site is a secluded, grassy spot beside the creek, among tall gum trees, where you can enjoy peace and serenity. Perfect for families or group of friends. The creek has lovely shallow areas suitable for kids to splash and play in. Occasionally you may see sea eagles soaring overhead, they nest in one of the trees along the creek beside your camp area. Camp area has a composting drop toilet housed in an outback style 'dunny' shed. Fresh rainwater is available. The site has a fire pit and some light fire wood laying around from fallen branches, plus mesh to place over the fire pit if you wish to use the fire for cooking. (There will always be smaller branches and kindling available for fires however, larger and longer burning wood is not guaranteed all season.) Well behaved pets are welcome. You may be visited by some cattle during your stay...they will keep out of your way. There are some large and unique trees to admire and keep your eye out for wildflowers that grow along the creek. There is an active eagle's nest in one of the trees. Guests are welcome to explore down the creek where you'll find some great swimming holes. For a relaxing stroll, guests are welcome to walk the farm fence lines which are regularly maintained with a mower. There are so many beautiful local attractions to visit. Our local village is less than 2kms from the property where you will find Byabarra Cafe for excellent refreshments. Then a gorgeous drive up onto the plateau and you will find Comboyne village with a historic 1905 goal, Larrikins Lockup. And if you are feeling more adventurous, Rawson Falls and Ellenborough Falls make lovely day trips. And Comboyne Rock provides some stunning views. Upon arrival your host will provide you with an information pack on local attractions and general Hip Camp house rules and guidelines for your safety and enjoyment.

The Bulga Plateau is the place to unwind, swim in mountain rivers and enjoy the Old Growth forests (yes we still have a few left). 600 metres above sea level on clear nights it feels like you are close enough to touch the Milky Way! In the hinterland of the Mid North Coast NSW on Biripi Country. Balgarr means mountain in local Gattang language. The cabin is off grid, includes a small kitchenette with 2 burner gas stove, fridge, has double bed and 2 single beds. We have a BBQ and fire pit. This is rustic living, no flash flush here but a practical long drop eco-friendly compost toilet and a fantastic gas hot water shower out in the elements! You will need to bring your own bedding, pillows sheets etc. we are on tank water and at times it is low! Dogs are welcome but please bring their own bedding. The property is also home to local wildlife and filled with lots of old trees, plants and flowers to enjoy your morning cuppa on the balcony As we are 45 minutes from the closest town, so you will need to fuel up before you head up the mountain. Also bring drinking water and all the food you will require for your stay. The Elands general store carries basic groceries, beer wine and spirits - Loads of walking tracks nearby; the Legendary Ellenborough Falls is 5 mins by car or half hour walk through the Elands Village Hour and half from Port Macquarie and Forster and one hour from Taree in the hinterland from Wingham or Comboyne (coming from Port Macquarie). There is an endless network of gravel roads and fire trails waiting to be explored by vehicle or mountain bike, taking you through the national parks, state forests and undulating farmlands of the Bulga Plateau. This delightful self contained cabin is a perfect getaway for you to work on your project – be it visual art; a book; a film script; photography or simply forest breathing to clear the mind. Blue Knob (Kaoraoa) at 1014 metres, is one of the highest peaks in the forest with Panoramic Plateau Views of the surrounding country. 40 mins by car. I'm retired now and appreciate even more, living in paradise. The usually good amount of rain, the ever warmer summers when we can swim in the Ellenborough River. Yes after 40 years on the Bulga I can feel the changes in the environment, come and enjoy!
