The Shoalhaven River is a short 25 minute drive from the property, 25 minutes to Goulburn CBD for all your supply needs, and Canberra is 1 hour away. Bring a fishing rod and try your luck in the dam. Please note this is catch and release fishing only. The Gulf is a 965-acre property situated near Wombeyan Caves in NSW. It's a fantastic property and wider region to explore, and enjoy an authentic Aussie bush camping experience. There's the Gulf Creek nearby that you can get to by 4x4 or you can go fishing, bushwalking, swimming, bike riding or horse riding. We offer two camping areas, that have enough space for multiple groups. One is higher up with great views, and access for caravans and camper trailers and the like. The other camping area is down by the creek but really only accessible for those with a 4X4, swags, rooftop tents etc. Plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect for firewood. All campers need to be self-sufficient at this time as we don't currently offer toilet facilities.

Pitch your self contained camper or caravan in our secluded garden in Bundanoon. We are only 0.5 acre but there is plenty of space for kids and well behaved dogs. Depending on the size of your set up and rainfall you will either be on grass at the back of our garden with moderate privacy or at the front of the house on gravel - not as much privacy. We have a fire pit, (firewood available) and the garden is child and dog friendly. We hand feed the wild king parrots and our resident blue tongue lizard, named Bluey! Hook up to water and power and you can manually empty cassettes. Wifi is available but can be unreliable. Bundanoon village is only 1.4kms away. The pub is even closer! Moreton National park is only 2.5kms away and we are familiar with the walks there. We will mostly be around if you need us and are more than happy to recommend places to visit and eat. I can also offer wholesome home cooked meals or meal hampers - please message me ahead of time to enquire / arrange. Bundanoon has a small IGA, several restaurants (including a decent Thai and Italian), pharmacy, post office, newsagent, multiple cafes and various shops.

Weekend Trip to The Hobby Sheep Farm

Ron's hobby sheep farm is quite large, the camping area was nice and flat, well grassed with easy access, and a westward border of pine trees that provided some shelter from strong westerly winds we experienced over our stay. There is 10A power available and even an EV type 2 charger. A single toilet out house is fed from a rainwater tank with a potable water tap off the rainwater tank. A Genorous size fire ring is present for low fire danger periods. There are multiple dams and some goldfish ponds with recycled solar powered water features. Plenty of open paddocks with sheep and access tracks to walk around the property. With a low number of other guests we had an undisturbed quiet relaxing family weekend.

Weekend Trip to The Gulf

Great spot! This is my second time out here, this time down by the river. The track down to the river is challenging, quite steep, but if you have a capable 4x4 you will be fine. The river and the views were amazing. We had a bit of bad weather which made the track a bit more iffy but in the dry it is straight forward. If you have a standard AWD or basic 4x4 the camping areas up the top of the property are great as well. Stuart is great very friendly and helpful.

Really loved camping next to the dam, lots of shade and a great chorus of frogs to enjoy at sunset. Ron and Karen are very attentive to your needs and very helpful with their local knowledge.

There is a bunch of firewood around the property that Damien said is available to use to build our own fire.

Great little spot for a getaway. Only downside if it gets windy you experience the full brunt of the winds unfortunately we copped 50km+ guests. Damien was very friendly and welcoming and the dogs are absolutely beautiful who come and visit you from time to time!

Perfect to base camp and visit Berrima/Bundanoon and surrounds or enjoy the hosts property, pretty sunsets and sunrises, we camped by the dam and enjoyed the peaceful surrounds, birds, starry nights, sunsets, well kept property. Friendly host Damian came to say hi and his old kelpie also came around a few times for a pat.

What a great piece of land to camp on — the kind of place that makes you slow down and take it all in. Stay up high on the mountain for those golden morning and late-afternoon views that never get old. During the day, head down to the river for a refreshing dip and some peaceful time by the water. The track in is perfect for a bit of 4WD fun, adding just enough adventure to make the trip feel earned. It’s the sort of spot that reminds you why you fell in love with the outdoors in the first place — simple, quiet, and unforgettable. We enjoyed this campsite. There were about 5 parties in total that night and there was plenty of space in between. Relatively flat area. To keep in mind - There’s only about one bar of intermittent reception up here if you need to keep in touch with your loved one. Great spot!

What stood out most about Nadine’s land were the stunning views and the warm, welcoming hosts. The property is spacious and peaceful, and we were given plenty of freedom to explore, which made the experience feel even more special. When our car wouldn’t start, the owners went out of their way to help us out — genuinely lovely people. Would totally recommend staying here!

3 nights at Forestvale Farm

I stayed at Forestvale for 2 nights in mid-July. It stunning land and the camp sit is on the top of the hill. It was so cold at night but I brought sleeping bag (recommend for winter) Nadine also prepared a campfire for us and there are a lot of firewood that I can grab around the site.

One word: Outstanding. Communication with Nadine was awesome from day one, she is super responsive, her manner and personality is bubbly and kind, her directions were really thoughtful and very clear and Nadine even gave us a map and a tour of their gorgeous property when we arrived! We also got to meet their two beautiful dogs, and they are such good natured floofs, our own dog fell in love right away! They truly love their home, and they really enjoy having campers appreciate their home as much as they do. We were lucky enough to see snow and because the ground was a bit soggy, Nadine and her partner even came out to help guide us city folk with the best route to avoid any accidental bogged cars! We would love to go back and camp here again, we couldn't have had a better time. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to enjoy ourselves as much as we did - Thank you again!

Absolutely legendary hospitality from Ron! We were freezing in our tent, our little one was not feeling well, and we were seriously considering heading back home early. But then came Ron, genuinely one of the kindest and most generous people we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond and offered us a warm, safe place to spend the night.
