We (Brian and Sally) have been re-vegetating the land and living here sustainably being “Off Grid” for over 45years, surrounded by bush with 3km of Stockyard creek meandering through the valley. HOT and dry summer so the creek is not flowing at present. We would love to share this paradise with those wanting to get away from wifi and the hustle and bustle of city life. (for emergencies we have satellite phone) Children under 4yrs are free. Dogs welcome but kept on a lead during the evening.
No leeches and No ticks in this area. NO close neighbors. Perfect spot to pitch your tent or set up your camper in the valley. Lots of sunshine and lots of shade. Easy dirt road access (6km) Some sites require/recommend 4WD -some 2WD is fine. Check with us before booking if needed.

Yengo National Park has some wonderful look out spots-great to drive to Finchley lookout to watch the sun set or check out Aboriginal art sites.

We offer our property to people who want to get out of the congestion of Sydney and enjoy a peaceful getaway. Guests can enjoy large mowed areas for recreation, they have use of a large undercover hall, there is a great campfire area with some firewood provided ( extra can be collected).
Guests have use of the 3 buildings in this area which are Hall area, BBQ kitchen and bathrooms. There is a designated area for pitching tents or camp trailers.
Guests have direct access for swimming to Webbs Creek this area is a shared area.
Camp Bunya is a private campsite for group bookings.
We offer our site to guests who want privacy and seclusion, enjoy the great outdoors and choose to make a little extra noise without upsetting the neighbours.
Water access for swimming is available at your own beach. Toilets and shower amenities are provided.
There is no power or cooking facilities, however a BBQ can be provided for hire. The campsite features mowed areas for camping with a large undercover area with a fireplace.

"Dael's Mill" is a charming 2 bedroom cabin with a rich history, dating back to the 1800s. Set upon a breathtaking 50-acre retreat nestled a the foothills of the Watagan Mountains, midway between Sydney and Newcastle. Dael's Mill offers a uniquely horse-friendly escape where guests have the option to bring their beloved ponies for midweek or weekend stays, or enjoy an intimate escape in the mountains, to slow down, recharge, and reconnect.

Or, you can try your luck fishing in the dam for some silver perch!

We’d definitely recommend this place! Debbie and Lambert were wonderful hosts, incredible welcoming and accommodating especially with our later check in. Debbie was available at all times for anything we needed and Lambert showed us around the amenities which included a very modern bathroom and kitchen inside a large shed that we were lucky to have to ourselves for two nights. Also had some games for the kids and a book of recommendations on things to explore around the area. Lots of mosquitoes though, bring repellent, you’ll need it.

What an awesome place to have a break! Hosts are brilliant, we were taken to our super secluded site in the middle of the bush, with its own toilet 👍🏻 and fire pit! We also purchased some of their delicious resident honey. We will be back for sure!

Arrival was very easy, and the place is comfortable, peaceful and relaxing, perfect for switching off and enjoying nature.
The bathrooms were very clean and pleasant, which we really appreciated.

We enjoyed camping at Brian and Sally’s place. Felt very relaxed nestled in amongst all of the beautiful trees. Very private and quiet area. Was handy having the pit toilet available and great to be able to take our dog along. Wish I’d packed the antihistamines as unfortunately we encountered a few ant bites and a brush with some stinging nettle!! Despite this we all had a lovely time an would recommend to other campers

Stickybush Arm is a great site with a huge variety of birds, frogs and marsupials throughout the property. The shack has some basic furniture and an outdoor fireplace in a sheltered area in case of rain. There's also plenty to do in the surrounding area including exploring overhangs, 4x4ing, visiting rock engravings and swimming in the dam next door. I will definitely be back!

Great spot to camp! Very friendly hosts and I recommend the wine tasting. The hosts were helpful and provided some good recommendations to eat close by. Beautiful bathrooms near the chapel. Our site was a bit away from the toilets so best to be self sufficient for this site. Other sites available closer to the bathrooms.

The best decision we could have made to stay for our time at the Hunter Valley.
We stayed down by the dam and had access to water and power. Beautiful grassy area and so quiet. Felt like there was no one else around.
Make sure you do the wine tasting. Excellent, and a lot of fun.

We had a fantastic stay and loved having the camp to ourselves — it made for a really peaceful and relaxing experience. The toilets and showers were excellent and very well maintained. The land was flat and made setting up camp quick and easy.

Rolf’s place is one of those special hidden gems. It’s a true sanctuary for wildlife and souls escaping from the busy world. It’s the kind of place where you just want to tread softly and listen to life in the bush. Rolf has amazing knowledge of the surrounding area of Yengo too. The road in is long and pretty so if you fancy some conservation-based camping then hit Rolf up.

Where to go
Patonga
Quiet Patonga sits on the edge of the secluded Brisk Bay about an hour and a half north of Sydney by road. You can set up camp around Brisk Bay and Brisbane Water National Park, where surrounding campgrounds offer powered and unpowered sites with access to electric BBQs, showers, and laundry facilities. Camp here to be perfectly positioned for beginning the 3-kilometre Patonga to Pearl Beach walking track, which takes you through the national park and ends on a beach.
Bouddi
Wake up to the sounds of waves and wildlife in Bouddi National Park by staying at Tallow Beach, Putty Beach, or Little Beach campgrounds. Putty Beach has showers, smaller Little Beach has sheltered barbecues, and the remote, hike-in Tallow Beach is fairly basic, with just toilets. Each is just steps from the shoreline and well placed for swimming, surfing, fishing, and embarking on the park’s walking tracks, including the 8-kilometre Bouddi Coastal Walk, which runs through bush and along dramatic cliffs.
