Marys Forest Retreat

4. Marys Forest Retreat

38km from Bonny Hills · 16 sites · Tents, RVs
Very secluded, managed forest with endless opportunities for exploring, including rainforest areas. A 12-acre cleared driveway features spacious, level camping sites, with an additional 100 acres of flood-free paradise where guests can choose from multiple camping locations. There are four major dams that are deep and clean, and a recently built gravel road along the northern boundary leads to Gypsy Corner, where you can watch the sunset over the mountains and see the trains rolling by three kilometres away. An unlimited supply of dry firewood is available, composting toilets are on site, and you can walk the 5.5 kilometres of fence line without seeing a single house. Abundant wildlife includes kangaroos, goannas, bandicoots, and wallabies. Guests must take great care when walking in the bush. I supply hard hats and warning signs where appropriate. Push bikes and canoes are available for use, and there is great fishing along the Lansdowne River on the way to Harrington and arguably the most beautiful beach on the Mid North Coast—Crowdy Beach. Mount Vincent Lookout is directly north and about a 20-minute drive, with the Lansdowne General Store only 10 minutes away. During summer, small fires are allowed for cooking only, but in the cooler months it is possible to sit around a campfire all night. Animals may be allowed, but please check with me first regarding what you have, and I will let you know.

Welcome to Two Rivers ~ Where two waterways meet and the story of our farm begins. Currently at Two Rivers Farm, we only welcome self-sufficient, off-grid campers with maximum of 6 vans and 20 people though this will change as we continue to build and evolve the property. For now, you can choose between two distinctly beautiful spots—each with its own perks and shared access to all the farm’s magic. Camp at Ringer’s Rest: Once the dairy farmer’s quarters, this rustic shed is now a bush-pub style gathering place. Settle by the fire, share stories and music, and raise a glass to farm camaraderie while overlooking the paddocks. Camp nearby and make this communal space your cosy hub. Camp at Riverside Hilltop: For sweeping views, set up at the Hilltop overlooking the river. Launch your fishing rods, canoes, SUPs—or even a jet ski (no jetty, so launch from the riverbank). Watch swans glide, birds greet the dawn, and deer pass by as the river becomes your playground. Your Hosts: Hayden and Ash live on-site and will guide you to your spot—whether riverside or hilltop. They’ll give you the farm rundown, share local tips, and help you feel right at home. The Area: Two Rivers is tucked away in Coolongolook on the Mid North Coast, with waterways flowing right out to Forster—just a 10-minute boat ride away. Nearby Nabiac offers the friendly Nabiac Hotel for a hearty meal or drink, plus The Artisan Farmer, a farm-to-table café, bakery, deli, and butcher showcasing local produce. What to Bring: We welcome self-sufficient campers only, so pack your swag, tent, campervan, or RV. At present there are no amenities, but exciting plans are underway for a camp kitchen and more facilities as the farm grows.

We are on 37 acres on the beautiful mid-north coast of New South Wales, offering a peaceful and pretty location to pull up for a night or a few. On our property, we have some cattle that roam and our dogs. We have a gorgeous dam where you can watch the abundant birds going about their day, and in the evening, watch the colours dance as the sun sets. The access road to the property is tar and is only about 5 minutes from the main road between Kempsey and Frederickton, so it's an ideal stopover for one night or a few. Kempsey is only a 10-minute drive away, Port Macquarie only about 45 minutes, and the beaches of Crescent Head and South West Rocks are the same. Welcome to Whispering Mountain. We are a small hobby farm with a menagerie of animals to pat and see. Our main attraction is our Engkish and Irish Donkeys and our emus, but of course, there’s a lot more than these girls and guys. We have a large paddock adjacent to Lansdowne River, where we welcome self-contained campers to set up and enjoy the peace, and easy river access. The paddock does not have any trees or toilet amenities at this stage. So it's currently BYO toilets/showers please, and all waste it to be taken when you depart. We are 20 minutes out of Taree and 50 minutes to Port Macquarie. There are local beaches at Manning Point and Crowdy Head. Great for fishing. There is also 15min to Big Nelly where you can drive to the top of the mountain and many other stops to stop and look over the region, so you can take a picnic basket and flask, if you feeling more adventures you cam stop at Watui Falls amd then head up and over the mountains to ... WARNING this trek of mountain road is only accessible by 4WD. There's also Ellebrough falls. If you’re looking for extra fun we offer Archery lessons and are affiliated with Archery NSW. We also offer a petting zoo for a small additional cost. Ask us for more details!

We organically grow and aim to be self-sustaining with seasonal fruits n veges. We are located up river in the Macleay Valley Food Bowl of NSW Australia. Up river in the Macleay Valley Food Bowl area we are away from city pollution, where the air and cloud water remains uncontaminated. Our produce/products have been awarded prizes when entered in the local shows in the region. We do not use chemicals, pesticides or herbicides, just biodynamic and organic nutrients. Many of these are made on the farm. Our produce is grown with Love, hand tendered and cured naturally. Since the property was savagely burnt in late 2019 bushfires, the farm has been in remission, and we are using restorative practices for land rehealth.

Toms Creek runs through the entire property with many secluded areas to camp along side the creek. We have a working cattle property and breed Hereford cattle, they will be roaming around freely on the property. Beautiful views from the top of the hills. No through road so only local traffic. Quiet and tranquil. Entrance to campsite is just past our residential driveway on the left, turn right at the top of the hill onto a mowed track to the creek.

Great location near Hat Head and South West Rocks This lovely 4 acre camping spot is situated at Kinchela on the tidal Kinchela Creek which runs directly into the mighty Macleay river. Please note that in very wet weather , being riverside camping, the sites can be unsuitable for caravans and camper vans . Please enquire by message with us to verify current conditions. We endeavour to accomodate you but cannot predict the weather. Tent sites usually okay at any time(remember you will need to have your own toilet facilities) . A few shade trees and quiet surroundings makes this the perfect spot for your next getaway. Fire pits available at each site with initial load of wood to get you started. Conveniently located only a 5 minute drive to Gladstone shops and hotel. There is a tap and hose (town water) on site. NOTE This is not available for vehicle washing, cleaning fish or filling large tanks. No emptying /cleaning of portable toilets please. PLEASE NOTE Campers must be equipped with their own toilet facilities , absolutely no exceptions. People abusing this rule will be asked to leave. All campers need to be self-contained with their own camp toilet.
