Christmas Tree Ridge

3 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Belfair, WA
This is my first season open to the public so feedback is very utilized. Hello, my name is Joe and I live here at Christmas Tree Ridge. This beautiful 5 acre canvas overlooks the Tahuya Valley to my south and is propped on the edge of a deep gullie to the East. Long ago this whole hillside farmed Christmas Trees. Valley Ridge Lookout is a first year clearing up at the top of the plot with no power or water hookups yet, the same for West Perch. Most seem to car camp or tent, even with the round rocky soil. However, if you are in need of power or water tanks filled just let me know, the lower drive area is near my utilities. Pros: -Borders state land, hunter's verify season. -Just broke brush on a trail that connects to the Howell Lake Trail for hiking, biking, motor bike, or horseback year round. Very narrow trail, just cut this year. -Wood for burning, not all sites have a fire ring. Ask, I can arrange things. -Trash free soil, keep it that way please. -Swimming hole at Howell lake is 1 mile via that trail, less then 10min by car. -Great views of Moon and Stars Cons: -1 mile long dirt road can get bumpy at times. -While a very private place, you're going to hear some noise still. Sometime very local target shooting now and then, often at the shooting range 4 km west. Distance road noise from the north during traffic hours, occasional loud car or liter bike buzzing the back road, and single engine planes, sometimes even aerobatic, practicing above. -Gully creates steep(100% Grade or more) drop near edge of camp sites. Please keep a safe distance. Be aware when walking around the east edge at night or you may find yourself 100ft lower in the bush or trees.

PNW Lakeside Yurt

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Shelton, WA
My grandpa bought this property in 1946. It has the best SW exposure. We often occupy the little cabin next door but are sharing the yurt with others. The yurt has a big deck and a bigger dock. We have no well or septic because the property has a lot of waterfront but not enough land overall. A porta potty is on site and shared the cabin and we provide drinking water. The yurt has a queen bed and a leatherette futon. The lake is stocked with trout and is usually over 70° by June and averages about 76° most of the summer. We have a floating island to swim to. Boating activity is kind of crazy on weekends. Be cautious of the waves. The driveway is a bit awkward and you need to back out. No big motorhomes! There is parking for 2 cars.

The Delightful Farm

5 sites · RVs, Tents4 acres · Lakebay, WA
Our grandma was a very kind woman who was one of the most generous people you'd ever meet, so much so that she was often taken advantage of when it came to the amount of space she allocated of the farm to people's stuff, after she passed the family has spent over 2 years to remove over 15 tons of items that didn't belong to us. We are now so happy to present the Delightful Farm. A hemp experience that is quite the turnaround. We now have 4 pigs, 20 baby chicks and 30 full grown layers who are proliferating the farm pretty quickly. Our hemp which is definitely a mainstay is now over 6-8ft tall and growing and smelling delicious. Come on out and see what the buzz is all about. You're guaranteed to have a magical experience. See you soon!

The best camping near Jarrell Cove State Park guide

Overview

About

Boat on into this beautiful area on Harstine Island in South Puget Sound. Yes, you need a boat to reach most parts of this marine camping park. Fish off the saltwater shoreline, or let the constant chatter of birds sing you to sleep in a hammock.

Take advantage of a ball field or volleyball court to get your game on. Cast your line along the saltwater shoreline to outwit any passing fish. Use Harstine Island as a home base for your boat-based adventures in the sound. Water ski, swim, or scuba dive along the shore.

Discover plenty of nature here, especially among the thick pine forest. Bring your binoculars to see what kinds of birds call out to you. If you're lucky, you may spot a bald eagle soaring over Puget Sound. Utilize the 1-mile hiking or biking trail to get around the forest.

Choose from 19 secluded campsites for your getaway. Most sites are surrounded by thick stands of trees.
