We really enjoyed our stay at the yurt! The private deck and fire pit felt very secluded and had great views of the lake. We brought our paddle boards and enjoyed exploring the lake. Kathy and Doug were very welcoming and made sure we well setup and taken care of. We will absolutely be back!

My kids and I loved this place!!! There was something for everyone in my family here. We played hard: swimming, paddleboarding (brought our own), kayaking, fishing, floating, jumping and..we fully relaxed on the deck and dock, reading, game playing, watching wildlife all around us, and watching TV. The hosts are true gems and we absolutely cannot wait to come back!

Kathy and Doug are wonderful hosts who love the land and the lake. The yurt is on a deck with outstanding lake views and well maintained easy (1 minute walk) trail to big private dock. I loved fly fishing from the dock and going out on the lake in my float tube. Caught lots of delicious trout! The bed is super comfortable - true glamping! I will return!

My husband and I wanted to find a beautiful and relaxing place to celebrate my 38th birthday— this yurt was the absolute best find!! The yurt itself is cozy, comfortable and has everything needed for preparing meals. The dock is beautiful and we loved spending the whole day floating on the island. The water was 80 degrees and so clear and clean! Kathy (the host) was extremely helpful and kind. She was quick to answer any questions we had and she offered us use of her personal kayaks. We are definitely looking forward to coming back one day!! Thanks again Kathy!

This place is a hidden little gem! I found it to be perfect for my quiet getaway! The private dock is amazing. The swimming was great. The yurt is well stocked with everything you need. There was a lot of thought that went in to this little piece of Heaven. I will be back!

Lovely spot! The lake is beautiful and the dock luxuriously large. The trees around are gorgeous. The yurt is very well equipped and comfortable. Great stay!

Was a cute and beautiful stay, the deck is gorgeous and quite large with lots of swimming. We had a very relaxing stay away from the city. Kathy offered us to borrow her kayaks and was very sweet as well. Definitely the spot to stay to get away from life for a bit and relax next to the lake. Nice bbq and direct access down to the private dock. Recommended for a get away.

My wife and I loved our time in this yurt and on the private dock. Kathy was a great host (she and her husband were staying at their cabin nearby), and she offered us the use of her two kayaks. Her husband, at my request, offered me fishing tips. I caught a trout, and it was, of course, delicious. I spent a lot of time hanging out on the private deck while my wife did online work on the other deck just outside the yurt. This place is tranquil and wonderful.

My daughter and I had a great two days staying in Kathy's yurt. The yurt was comfortable and provided everything we needed, but we spent most our time playing in the lake. We loved the big deck, the kayaks, and the inflatable island we could swim out to.

Tranquil and magical. We stayed for two nights & feel so restored. We swam sunbathed & read to our hearts content. We brought our paddle board to use as well. We did not take up the hosts offer to use their kayaks, but that would be a nice option too. The lake is busy with boaters and jet skiers in the daytime but there is a designated swim/no wake area around the perimeter of the lake. No issues at all with that set up. Large floatie anchored off of deck to swim to and relax on. Yurt is as described. Has the basics to prepare simple meals-we used the grill both nights and that was perfect for our needs. The yurt is built on a wraparound deck with nice views of the lake & surrounded by trees giving it a treehouse like feel. There is a separate private dock to use down a path from the yurt. This dock is huge & has lawn chairs & a sunbrella. From here you can launch your board or swim. Yurt cools down nicely in the evening and we slept with one window flap open. Because it is a canvas yurt, it is like sleeping in a tent so expect that it will be cool in evening and morning. We brought layers and the bedding provided was more than sufficient for comfort. The bed & pillows were comfortable. Neighbor dogs were not a bother at all, barked when we came & went but that’s about it. Outhouse was clean & stocked with paper & hand sanitizer. Evenings and mornings are quiet & great bird watching. Our host even brought over trout they caught which we grilled. So generous and sweet.

The host was very polite, considerate and returned messages promptly. Everything that you need for a weekend getaway was provided.
However, there was a considerable amount of mold present on the outside of the Yurt and both my wife and I woke up ill the next morning. It was also very cold (no amount of blankets warmed us up), which we didn't prepare for since it was our first time in a yurt. The window flaps didn't close completely, letting the wind and cold air from the night (we stayed in July) come in. Make sure to pack warm clothes to sleep in. The port-a-potty was also well overdue for service. We were glad we brought our toilet bucket with us.

The yurt was super cozy and has nearly everything you’ll need. As chronic over packers, we realized we needed about a quarter of the things we brought. She provides linens, pillows, blankets and towels for the lake. There is a mid sized fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, kettle and hot plate + gas grill and everything you need to eat, drink and cook on. The decor is inviting and relaxing. There are some really cool personal touches too. The best part is the private dock with a big anchored floatie island. We loved it and hope to come back soon.

The yurt was absolutely adorable, and the lake itself was stunning! There were all the supplies we needed for cooking, and Kathy and Doug were spectacular hosts, being kind enough to let us borrow the kayaks and even show us some fishing tips! The bed was also incredibly comfortable, there was a fabulous bakery just a few minutes away, and having wifi out there was a great bonus. The lake itself was warm enough to swim, and although it was quite busy in the daytime with boaters, it was super peaceful in the evening. Overall a totally lovely stay and highly recommended for a relaxing weekend. (Of note, the hot plate is a touch small so if you're a big cooker like me you might want to bring a larger camp stove of some kind, but otherwise it's perfect for smaller/simple dishes!)

The yurt was nicely appointed and had such a wonderful feel to it with special attention to decor. The yurt's dock is large and provides an amazing view of the lake and boating activities! Swimming in the lake was wonderful and Kathy the host provided chairs to relax in and floats to swim with.
Our stay was amazing and we look forward to future return visits to this special place. Thanks Kathy!

We had such a great time at Kathy’s yurt! It had everything we needed for a spectacular ladies weekend at the lake. The bed was comfy and we thoroughly enjoyed the dock, the anchored float, and exploring on our paddleboards. The stars were gorgeous at night!

We spent a couple of hot summer weeknights at the yurt. It was an excellent getaway to live the lake life for a bit.
The yurt and surrounding area was very clean. There are lots of plugs in and the wifi was very strong on multiple devices. There is enough kitchen stuff for 2 people, but you'd want to bring some basics for everyone if you had more people. The path and stairs to the lake are very safe, the dock is huge, and the lake water felt clean.
There is a great firepit tucked into a private nook between the yurt and the dock. Whether we were inside the yurt, on the porch, or down at the dock, it felt surprisingly private from both the neighbors and the host's cabin. The infamous dogs next door were well secured and pretty chill overall, after some excited barking to announce our arrival of course.
I'd say the only "camping" aspects are the bathroom and doing dishes down at the lake. Otherwise this was a great glamping trip.

We had a great weekend at Kathy's yurt on the lake. The private dock is really nice and we were able to kayak, SUP and swim in the lake. Kathy let us borrow kayaks and Doug gave us fishing gear and tips. The yurt is comfortable and well stocked. Kathy provided us with all the information we needed and thoughtfully left a bottle of Prosecco for us since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.

What a nice romantic getaway. The views of the lake from the yurt were nice and gave a camping feeling. The dock was awesome for getting late afternoon sun and watching others play. My partner and I had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at Kathy's lakeside yurt. It was so nice to be able to get up and saunter down to the deck, sip on some coffee and wait for the fish to bite. We literally spent our entire Saturday chilling on the lake. It was so peaceful. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and will be returning in the future.
