Where’s the best place to start your day at Platte River State Park? Maybe you fancy a dip in the pool or a climb up the 85 foot Lincoln Journal Tower. Perhaps you want to kick back in your weekend digs, an authentic teepee, and let the cares of day to day life wash away in an authentic mid-morning nap. Clearly you have options to choose from, the real dilemma at Platte River will be picking and choosing your own adventure! With paddleboats on Jenny Newman Lake, fishing on the river, trails that overlook the stunning forest, and championship golf, you’re going to want to be sure to stay at LEAST a weekend, though we have no doubt even a day trip to Platte River will keep you coming back for more!
