There’s a whole lot packed into this 233 acre park! Vogel is one of the oldest state parks in Georgia, and also one of its favs. It’s parked right at the base of Blood Mountain, inside of the Chattahoochee National Forest, so you know the scenery is going to be delightful. Visit during the fall to see the Blue Ridge Mountain light up with color, or come out during the summer for some boating, swimming, and relaxation at the mountain-view beach. Bring your boots, as hiking is a blast throughout the entire year. Fancy spending the night? Well, you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice. There are cottages (and they all have flat screens, cable, and Wi-Fi), campsites, and primitive backpacking sites. So, which option are you going to choose?
