Definitely would go again, and probably will! Absolutely loved the view - listing is completely accurate & it’s really a great spot that is worth the cost. Easy peasy instructions etc. it was some of the most peaceful camping sleep I’ve gotten, ever!

Amazing views on your private hilltop. We enjoyed the site, but a cold front prevented us from the stargazing we’d been looking forward to. The site was well laid out and had plenty of firewood. The price is high for primitive camping, but the views are exceptional.

The views were beautiful! Looking at the stars at night was amazing! Perfect secluded spot. Far enough from the city, yet close enough for a quick Walmart run if you need something. Our kids both said this was by far their favorite camping trip. Even our dogs loved being able to roam safely. Will definitely be planning another stay soon!

Place was great. The most beautiful view we’ve camped at in the SE. 10mins from Vogel State Park if you’d like to shower and clean up. Full cell service for those who need it.

Site was very clean, beautiful views and private. I would recommend 4wd as it’s steep. I would definitely come back again!

Amazing views with a Giant firepit! You cant ask for much more. A huge pile of wood that was on-site kept us warm and happy the entire trip.
You are on top of a mountain with some steep slopes up to it in parts. I would be cautious with young children.

We had such a great time camping here. The views are incredible and we will definitely come back! We were able to get to the site without 4wd but it was dry and we had experienced drivers. It was the perfect getaway that I can’t recommend enough!!

My husband and I really enjoyed this spot! Highly recommend to anyone that’s looking for a weekend getaway. There are no other sites up there, very quiet. Be aware that, depending on what time of year you go it could be windy. Just make sure you bring extra rope to keep your tent secure. Sincerely appreciated the host offering firewood too! We would love to go back.

Feels like you are on top of the world from this campsite! Wonderful place for a night or two. We had a fire the first night but the second night was too windy. Be sure your tent is nice and secure if you are going the tent camping route. Winds pick up throughout the night. Great place to get out in nature, and tons of great hiking nearby.

This campsite is AMAZING! My husband and I went for a little weekend getaway with our dog and we wish we could have stayed longer. The view is spectacular, with a beautiful sunrise in the morning and stargazing at night. Highly recommend booking this site!

First let's start with the view. Just book Matthew's place! You won't be disappointed. 4 wheel drive is a must. We had a girls trip and we had one tent camper and two hammock campers. We did bring a hammock stand and did some engineering to hang the other. My only recommendation would be to have wooden 4x4s or something equivalent if possible to hang hammocks but I'm sure most people tent camp. But if you hammock camp- there aren't really any trees close to the fire pit. The fire pit is amazing and the provided wood was a wonderful touch. We did have kind of a hard time locating initialy but figured it out. After pissing off some neighbors for pulling in their driveway. Totally worth booking. Matthew even told us about a trail that we could leave from campsite and go to helton falls. We drove to brasstown bald and was a great short day trip.

Top notch views & beautiful fire ring. Could use a touch of leveling. Gazelle T8 size is about max tent size. Great directions & complimentary firewood. Will book again for sure
