Heaven!
16 ft travel trailer · With pets · We loved this place! We were lucky enough to be the only campers on the property and thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring, relaxing, and spending time in the pond. With three water dogs with us, the pond was the most winning feature, and though there was a fair amount of algae, Kristin told us it was safe to swim in—fed by a continuously running freshwater spring—so we did. While the campsites themselves are fairly rustic, the area around the pond is actually quite posh, with an actual sand beach, an outdoor kitchen, nice seating and eating areas, an umbrella, and boats available to use. The dogs loved it, we loved it, and, selfishly, we were delighted not to have to share this community space with other campers.
Some of the captions with the photos are misleading—there aren’t RV hookups, a shower, or a community refrigerator, but we were fine with all that. The bathrooms and public areas were immaculately clean, and we were thrilled at the lack of poison oak and foxtails or stickers our dogs could get into. The hosts were welcoming and friendly (we got to see their amazing mini-steam engine and railroad), and despite the recent devastation from the Park Fire to surrounding land, the ranch is beautiful and well maintained, with signs of new growth everywhere.
We will definitely be back!
